Seriously Microsoft? What a joke. 4 Hours to charge! >:(

@GoodBytes Am I doing something wrong here? 3000mAh to charge in 4 hours looks really messed up.

What is your phone, and what are you using to charge your phone?

@GoodBytes 640XL LTE Dual Sim, Using the original included 750mAh 5V charger.

@ZetZet Apparently it was chosen so that the battery stays cool throughout charging.

That's just terrible, get a better charger, jesus. My LG G2 has 5V 1.8A charger and that's old and slow tech.

Looking at the phone specs, I don't see it as having Quick Charge Technology...

It's a low cost phone, so things must be removed to cut the price.

I don't see it listed to have quick charge technology.

It is a budget phone, so things have to be removed to reduce cost.

You can try an alternative charger that can give more amps to help charge faster, but that is about it.

@GoodBytes My G2 doesn't have fast charging either but it does 2 amps.

my moto g has 2amp charging..

Like I said, they cut... so use a better charger and see if you can charge faster.

My phone charger is 3amps, but that is USB Type-C with quick charging technology.

P.S: Why I need to post twice my replies, for it to show.... I am confused.

    Are you on mobile?

  12. AlTech

    AlTech

@GoodBytes Well I mean Snapdragon 400 (what my phone has) allegedly supports Quick Charge 2.0 .

Which charger should I use? I'm skeptical about chargers ever since that Chinese iPhone charger fire/explosion on the airplane.

No I am on Firefox on my desktop..it is like my last post is not being displayed until I post again, then my previous post displays. Refreshing the page doesn't show it again.. I hate to tell the admins about this... I doubt they can do anything, beside post a bug report to the forum company, and hope for the best whenever they'll fix it, if they fix it.

@AluminiumTechI don't know to be honest. My mother, for her Moto G, she uses my Logitech mouse charger of my mousse (Performance MX), I connect my mouse to my PC to charge it, as I don't' care about slow charging time, especially that it uses a AA battery, so I can swap it with another of the many rechargeable Eneloop batteries that I have, if I really don't want the cord.. It is 2.0 Amp charger if I am not mistaken.

So she uses the wall charger that you see on the left, and uses her phone USB cable with it.

  18. GoodBytes

    GoodBytes

Yup, I can... I just need for someone, like you, to reply, then I see my "useless post", and delete it....

I don't like it, but it is something for now. Or maybe you do see it, and I don't for some reason... (after I refresh the page) but the fact that I don't see it, scratches my head.

We have mods (what I am), we have senior mods, and we have Admins.

Senior mods oversees mods, and have a lot more experience in general in moderating forums, or has been a mod here for  a very long time.

They have additional privileges as well.

Admins, are Luke, and Linus, and forum devs. They have special access to update the forum, change things of the forum, and so on.

I can't go in details as I don't know what more they have as options.

About forum access? I can guess, from me using phpBB on my website, but that is such a simple forum compare to this forum.

But why do you want to know? I guess you can setup a trial version of the forum (don't know if there is, but probably) and see for yourself, if you really want to know.
