@ZetZet You can buy a Lumia 930 for like $300 USD.
Also, the software is not that buggy anymore (except the store app). Performance and optimization is a little lacking, yeah. I agree. The only killer of Windows Phone and Windows Mobile is lack of apps and games. That is not a hardware defect or fault. I also agree that there aren't enough middle of the road phones.
For WP devices we mainly have Low End, Entry Mid range and then super high end. We don't have much in the middle. That is a perfectly valid flaw Which Microsoft will likely fix with Surface Phone.

$300 is an INSANE amount. 930 is old as balls. @Digital Jedi Having owned a Windows Phone and as a first smartphone. I wasn't expecting too much for my first smartphone.
And it was perfect. I find IOS to be quite simple having used it on an iPad although I no longer have that for comparison. Android just felt way to complicated and too much like a PC (quite ironic since MS is touting Lumia 950 & XL and WP for being like PCs). It felt too high maintenance. Give me an Android Phone and I would spend the whole of a week finding out how to use it. Because to me IOS and WP are intuitive. You don't have to think. You just use it. That's what makes technology magical. That is why Apple is rich. People are willing to pay for technology which disappears and lets people do what they want it to do.
@atrash Back me up here. Being cornered by ZetZet.Well I say perfect but I have one complaint, apps and games. Developers aren't taking WP very seriously so Microsoft has had to evolve their advertising to make devs jump on board. Now MS says to Devs "Make UWP apps, we have over 300 million Windows 10 devices.", Devs say "Cool, We'll check it out" and then it takes forever to port it. -

I thought you finally bought a 950XL. That pocketnow video is old btw. Recent OS build has improved significantly over the previous launch day build. I know this well. I own the phone since day one. And it gets better almost every month now. I agree the low end and mid range offering from Microsoft is a bit expensive at retail price but there's also plenty other better deals out there besides buying from Windows Store.
So far I've received free Microsoft Display Dock and a year Office 365 sub through the Lumia Offer app on my 950 XL. And the Office can be installed on 3 different devices. Sounds like a great value to me.

why are you running insider release? normal consumers don't.
no one needs to replace a battery anymore and galaxies have sd cards anyway. and it's not $500, it was waaay more, just because microsoft backed off after seeing how ridiculous their prices were in the first place doesn't make it better, nexus 6p is still better in that price range.
