  1. Just a quarter to half the team taking over 1 objective after said quarter to half team ran straight up the mountain on Orbital to get the D. 😛

PayPal Update 2: Got lots of juicy details abou…

Side Note: I did complain to PayPal about stealing the payment fees from merchants refunding customer, and also about how bad their messaging centre system is. They're probably not gonna change either but at least they know my position on them now.
  3. PayPal Update 2: Got lots of juicy details about Zettle.

This is from talking to a PayPal support agent:

Zettle Accounts are gonna disappear as a separate product. New Zettle customers will need to signup through PayPal eventually (when PayPal gets around to it).

Zettle Invoices is defo not coming back. PayPal's stealing of payment processing fees when you refund customers isn't coming to Zettle, at least for now.

PayPal gonna end everything they buy and merge it into PayPal.

  4. PayPal update

They want a W-8BEN form so I'm giving it to them -_-

I think it's the wrong form but PayPal insists it's the right form. So fuck it, they can have the form. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

  5. Is Spotify trying to get people to leave or what?

I'll be honest I don't think premium is worth £9.99 per month or even £10.99 or month.

    Screenshot_20230725-092101_Proton Mail.png

The wording also feels like a slap in the face. I'm a customer, not a fan.

I won't be renewing my Spotify Premium. Amazon Music Unlimited is looking quite attractive right now.

Might do a video or blog with a proper Drink tier list lol. My top drinks: * Tea (Easy S tier) - Both caffeine free and with Caffeine * Water with fruit flavourings or infusions (A tier) * Bottled Water with a good taste (A Tier) - Volvic or other high quality brands are good. Dasani is eww and Smart Water is borderline acceptable. All the way down to Cancer Inducing Aspartame (but would otherwise be Lower B tier to Upper C tier) - Coca Cola Zero Sugar (with or without Caffeine) - Pelsi Max (with or without Caffeine) - 7Up Free (No sugar) - Fanta Zero Sugar (Watermelon or Orange) - Tango Zero Sugar (Tropical Punch flavour is nice) - Indian Tonic Water without Sugar. Lower C Tier: Ginger Ale without Sugar or with low Sugar. F Tier: Sparkling Water.
  7. Somebody needs to call the coroner cos BF2042 keeps coding and the community can't do CPR on BF2042 forever.

    /joke

RIP BF2042 2021-2023. The skeleton crew's holding the ship together but Season 6 looks like the last Season.

And ofc for real RIP Michael K Williams. It's still kinda sad that he's dead.

Here's to hoping Irish gets a canonical death in game in the lore/story in the next Battlefield.

why are people always surprised when games released on a frequent schedule with developers subject to crunch are never good

    2. Blademaster91

      Blademaster91

I'm honestly not surprised, as iirc EA/DICE has been doing that since BF1. The game gets enough patches and updates to the point it's a good game people like, then EA moves on to the next rushed title that people pay to be beta testers.

IMO it should at minimum get supported for 3 more seasons, as BF2042 wasn't worth playing in terms of bugs and unbalanced maps until season 2.

Original Taste doesn't but Diet Coke, Coke Zero Sugar, Diet Pepsi, and Pespi Max and virtually most sugar free sweetened sparkling drinks use Aspartame. But remember kids, the WHO Director says it's okay that Aspartame gives you cancer. His solution is to just drink water .
  9. I love meta programming even if I've only barely scratched the surface of it 😛.

All the fun of recursive programming and none of the pain and misery that comes from it.

  11. I'll update tomorrow if PayPal support actually proves unable to solve my very simple problem.

So far talking to PayPal has been as helpful as talking to a brick wall.

PayPal: You need to fill out the W-8BEN-E form

    Me: I actually need a W-9 form

PayPal: Oh okay, so here's the W-8BEN (non -E form) form

Me: That's still the wrong form. I need the W-9 form.

    PayPal: *Surprised Pikachu Face*

  12. Just got off the phone with Microsoft 365 support for Exchange and oh god their support is so bad.

The support agent could barely speak english and the background noise sounded like someone was breathing through a darth vader mask or something.

It was honestly dreadful. Sometimes I wonder why I use Microsoft 365 even at the low price that I pay -_-.

Oops, I meant to say O365, because AlTech only mentioned Exchange and then I forgot that it's all under M365 now. Confusing...

      btw. just found this:

luckily, microsoft has this handy chart to see what is included with which license.

<pulls out three poster size charts and an entire dictionary of details and exclusions>

  13. NGL Firefox has much better tab management than Brave (or probably Chrome for that matter).

I'm using Brave for business stuff and it's annoying to not be able to CTRL + Click to select multiple tabs at once like you can in Firefox.

      Chrome can do that tho.

    Would you?

Yes. The US FDA recommends no more than 400mg of Caffeine per day. (A 500ml bottle of Coca cola contains about 80mg of Caffeine). If you go significantly above that: your tolerance to caffeine and the condition of your heart may be what determines whether you end up in the hospital or the morgue. Source: https://www.fda.gov/consumers/consumer-updates/spilling-beans-how-much-caffeine-too-much That's why you need to connect it to a machine that adds the CO2 back in .
  15. AlTech

    Would you?

That and it probably has enough caffeine for someone to overdose on if consumed within 1 day.
  16. This is separate and is in addition to Manifest V3. Manifest V3 has no effect on Firefox (ignores the limits in V3) and Brave (has AD blocking built in to the browser). This content has the potential to affect all browsers.
  17. What the actual f*ck though? I didn't file a complaint with PayPal.

Btw: PayPal's employees have been more than a little incompetent at handling this. They keep sending me the wrong IRS Form.

  18. NGL the M40X seems to be helping me a bit with hearing enemies before I see them in BF2042.

  19. A lot of apps try to detect if a user is running a rooted device or a device with an unlocked bootloader. I say try because there are ways to defeat that but it is a cat and mouse game and Google is trying to win the game. Why not? Almost all of them use the same code to detect if its rooted or not. Google Play Services has a way to detect it. It can currently be spoofed but who knows for how long that will remain the case. This is also what Google would use for browser attestation on Android. Checking for root via Play Services.
  20. I feel like regulators regardless of country aren't breaking up tons of big companies these days though. How do we know the UK or EU will force Google to break up if they do this?
  21. Brave is expected to follow suit. Mozilla has not said whether they will but it is largely irrelevant if they do so or not. Websites requiring this will have issues on Firefox if it isn't present on Firefox. Not necessarily. Websites right now don't know if you run a rooted device.
  22. GG internet. It was fun while it lasted.

  23. Summary Unsatisfied to allow 3rd party browser makers besides Google to override Manifest V3's neutering of ADs, Google has initiated a new proposal to end AD Blocking forever. Their proposal is called "Web Environment Integrity" and essentially means websites will be able to query web browsers to ask if they have had their Environment Integrity Verified, meaning that a Browser needs to verify that the User is using a device that is approved by the Attester in order to access the website. Attesters will be OS or Browser based and will give Websites a verification value based on factors about the device and the web browser being used For Android, running a rooted device will provide a value indicating it is not verified. Browsers that don't implement this may simply not function with websites relying on a Verification value. There has been no guidance on who will be Attesters It is expected that attestation services provided by Google may consider any amount of AD blocking worthy of triggering a low verification value essentially meaning the environment won't be trusted by the website. Put simply if a website requires this they can force you to disable AD blocking in order to view the website and if you don't then you won't be able to use the website. This could also extent to using phones after they stop getting security updates, using unpopular or unofficial browsers, using devices with custom OSes or firmware. The browser becomes the DRM engine. Quotes My thoughts Alright, well its been a fun ride while it lasted. Time to be sent to the Google reeducation camp and be metaphorically beaten with a cattle prod until you accept that Google will own you and you will own nothing and you will be under Google's control and Google will be happy. Forget about slippery slope, this is jumping off the side of a cliff and only if you support Google will you get a parachute that opens. Otherwise your chute won't. If you continue to use Chrome despite all of these monstrous and truly heinous and cruel things google has plans for: then you deserve the future of the internet Google has in store for you. 24. Ended up swapping my HE 400 SE for the M40X 😛. Thanks to CeX.

It arrived today and I'm happy with it. Build quality is alright except for the creaks. That's what Stockton Rush probably said.

Jokes aside tho, passive noise isolation from it is alright even with nothing playing.

The seal around the earcups could be better, so I may end up buying the earcups from that LTT Sponsor who makes earcups for this.

The base is a lot less loud than KZs and the mids and highs are a lot more present.
