  1. So if i had Microsoft office on my old laptop, put the hdd of my old laptop into my new desktop can i still access Microsoft word ? Note: the Hdd of the old laptop is not the boot drive.
  2. So on my old laptop i had a full-legit version of Photoshop CS4. I got a new desktop now and figured that I'll just run Photoshop off the harddrive but it didn't work... it says the "specified module could not be found. C:\ProgramFiles\Adobe\Adobe Version cue CS4\ 4.0.0\ VersionCue.dll" Note: The hard drive of the old laptop is no longer the boot drive I don't have box i.e. i don't have the licence number ...
  3. So I backed up my phone before sending it to repairs and they just sent me a new one, which is fine. The problem is that when I went to use the backup that was linked to my HTC account the file wouldn't show (the account is linked to drop box so that's where the file is) Is there a way for me to transfer the back up file onto the phone and boot from it ?
  4. So recently all the black on my screen turns into red. Occasionally it'll turn normal then turn back into red. If I use a monitor or a wireless screen capture the image is fine. But I still want to know how to fix this problem.
  5. So I want to use a NZXT H440 in my build but does it support mATX mother boards?
  6. Yes, but that's annoying to me, I want one company that i can call to fix my crap. And this was posted randomly....i didn't finish Getting a new gaming PC BUT (Please forgive me) I don't want to build it (basically because i want warranty) These are the specs: http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/rJ7rP6 Core: Intel Core i5-4460 Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Mother board: MSI Z97 U3 RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB Storage: Kingston SSDNow V300 Series 240GB+ Western Digital Caviar Green 1TB Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB Case: NZXT H440 PSU: Corsair CX 600W 80+ Bronze Problem: Does anyone know a site where i can get THIS EXACT BUILD (Not a pre done one where I can choose from a selection) and get it shipped to me w/ warranty. I prefer somewhere in America or Canada that ships to Australia. ( this build is meant to be like $1100 but is about $1500 , because every compenet is like $50+ more in Aust. so getting the computer shipped here would be more cost effective)
  7. http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/K42wHx just a quick update: this is my computer (Yes, it has to be black and blue) I was wondering if there's anything wrong or is there something I should downgrade to upgrade later? is that too much to spend?
  8. Hey guys, I'm building my first computer *round of applause * . I was looking at some buyers guides like Linus' one they did a few months ago and it says to use an AMD core. I've never had a computer with an AMD core and i wanted to know: is there any things that AMD cores offer likes features that intel cores don't? Similarly is there anything that intel offers that AMD doesn't? Is there a performance difference (when comparing similarly priced cores)? Or is there no difference besides that certain motherboards will only accept AMD cores and certain mother boards accept Intel Cores.
  9. Ubisoft says that you can get a free game if you bought unity as a reward for dealing with their crap. BUT you're not allowed to sue them...== Org:http://www.vgchartz.com/article/252585/ubisofts-free-game-for-assassins-creed-unity-has-a-catch-you-can-no-longer-sue-ubisoft/
  10. Holy crap WTF. I think they're mind reading == I doubt that they actually saw this.
  11. Oh thanks I already had a desktop planned though. I bought the proteous core and a duck shine keyboard so my desktop has to be blue or someone is going to die.
  12. My laptop is broken and I need a new computer . I have a limit of $2000aud, I want to have a great gaming experience but at the same time I need a laptop because I'm start university soon. So my plan is to get a $1500 gaming rig and $500 laptop to use a service like Google's remote desktop that allows me to stream my desktop at home. Is there and tips or help that anyone give me for this plan either from personal experience or other let me know. I.e. Better services than Google's solution. Or if this idea sounds or works great let me know so I know I'm on the right track. My logic : So if I'm wrong tell me in chat and tell me the alternate solution. So the concern I have with buy a $2000aud gaming laptop is that a. It's heavy at this price range and B it's not going to be as good as a $1500aud gaming desktop. So by buying a $1500aud and a $500 laptop I can: A. Keep all files in one place rather than starring an assignment at uni then transfer to save it at home. (I have considered cloud storage but my net caps fast and I need instant access to my work) B. Because cheap laptops have cheaper parts doing this allows me to have several word docs. open at the same time as well as other applications. (I assume the way it work is that remote desktop just streams a screen as processes are done on the desktop) C. Be all cool and say "yeah this is streaming from home" (note:Try not to go over board with tech words I'm still a console scrub. )
