  1. I just went on LTT vessel page and for some reason their 6950X review has been up for more than 7 days yet it still has the "7 Day Exclusive" tag. Is the review under NDA?
  2. TP-Link N900 is the one I have. No problems with drivers or speeds (~100 Mbps 10 meters from the access point through 2 walls). I would go with Powerline instead of WiFi if it is at all possible.
  3. Choose a cheaper CPU and use the money you save for a more expensive graphics card IMO
  4. Quick question about amazon affiliate links: When I go to my bookmark, this is my URL with the your tag. But when I click on product, your tag goes away. Do you still get the kickback if I buy anything without the tag at the end?

  7. My dad has been frustrated by his SLOW Dell laptop. Obviously, the system bottle-neck is the 5400 rpm HDD. An SSD would go along way to extend his laptop's life span. I found SanDisk Ultra II 960GB SDD for $277 (as of the time I am writing this): http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00M8ABHVQ/ref=psdc_1292116011_t2_B00OBRE5UE&tag=linustechtips-20 If the price ever changes, I would go with a Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB SSD. http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-2-5-Inch-Internal-MZ-75E500B-AM/dp/B00OBRE5UE/ref=lp_1292110011_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1449154800&sr=1-1&tag=linustechtips-20 Thanks!
  8. $900 for that?! No, thanks I will stick to my 23" 1080P display that works just fine. Also are people actually buying curved monitors? I just want that fad to go away just like 3D TV...
  9. Big Surprise! I really hope more people do this, so Nintendo stops this B.S.
  10. Total Biscuit made a video explaining their business model, needless to say it is very shady. Content Patch #191: "Nintendo's affiliate program, fraudulent FarCry 4 keys from Origin revoked - Jan. 30th, 2015" is the name of that video.
  11. I hope this goes through but I don't google to be my ISP; I already feel like they own and control a large portion of my life (purchasing habits and internet usage) subconsciously. If Internet services are classified under Title II, then many small ISPs could be established and become profitable which is great since the average American citizen uses more internet than ever before. On the other hand, I don't want this to succeed. If current trends continue in terms of the internet infrastructure, then speed of paying customers will continue decrease and cost more. This will lead many people to protest against these monopolies and turn them into government-regulated monopolies (like energy companies) which are a lot better than where we are now.
