  1. I see a little bit of an improvement, i guess I can live with this; you would think a two year apartment complex would have ethernet run in there wall to the fiber drop since older ones I've lived have had it. Thanks for your help. Also is it just me our is TP-Links marketing just way off, they market this router as getting way above gigabit speeds over wifi and they do the same with their powerline adapter. I tried using their 2000mbps powerline adapter and hit a hard cap of 100mbps everytime.
  2. The channel width and channel are set to AUTO for all bands. and the link speed shows around 1000Mbps link
  3. Hey Needfuldoer, I have an Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz wifi card that is integrated into the motherboard.
  4. Looking for some advice. I recently moved into a new apartment that only offers ATT fiber. The modem/router they provided is a BGW320-505. I pay for 1000Mbps connection and I definitely get that when plugged in directly, but for Wifi speeds even right next to the router I only get around 600Mbps. I then went and bought a Tp-Link AX6600 and stupidly believed it could reach gigabit speeds over wifi based on their marketing (or maybe I just don't understand how they work). I also did place the ATT modem/router in IP passthrough mode and disabled the wireless functionality (for some reason ATT's modem don't have a true bridge mode). Even with the TP-Link router I only get about 650Mbps which is fine but since I'm paying for gigabit, I'm looking to actually be able to use it. This being an apartment I don't actually want to nail some CAT5 to the wall and run it across the apartment to my PC. Also according to the ATT rep there is no slower speed available. So my question is does anyone know of a wifi router that can actuallt achieve 1000Mpbs on the 5Ghz band?
  5. I saw it on one of those articles going over the best work-from-home products to have, and thought to myself how much did they pay this publisher to put this on the list. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't the only person thinking its an overpriced pi-hole.
  6. Anyone ever hear of the Winston Privacy Filter? Is it just an overpriced pi-hole?
  7. The plan on accessing everything locally instead of over the internet. The only reason for the web app is so I can access it on multiple platforms.
  8. I have a question on what's the best route to take when developing a wep app that has to work on android, ios , and desktop environments. I know I need knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript; but I'm still confused. HTML will take care of how the web app looks, CSS will set styles specific to their OS, and Javascript will take care of complex programming like file i/o, graphing, images, etc. Is that statement correct? Also a little background on myself; I am not a web developer. My programming experience is with C/C++, Python, and Assembly. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  9. Looking for two Division players on PC. Add me to play. link to profile
  10. I just purchased a Dell Ultrawide curved display from microcenter. It was an impulse buy. Let's just say I always thought 'ultrawide' and 'curved' were gimmicks; but after owning this monitor for a few days I must say I freakin' love it. My question is about my gpu though. I have an EVGA GTX970 FTW and I get about 45-50fps in The Division right now. I am wondering would a 980 be a better option or would another 970 in sli make more sense? Link
  11. Do you know of anyone who uses a quieter pump, or do I just need to use air cooling.
  12. I'll check that one out. CorsairLink isn't an issue for me, i'm not entirely a huge fan of it.
  13. this is the only way to turn them off. though if you run them at lower voltages they will be dimmer than usual.
  14. I am looking for some advice from the community. I have a H100i for about three years. I just purchased some SF120s for the rad and some AF120 for front intake. I never noticed how loud the pump actually was until I installed these new fans. It makes a high pitched hum. It's very annoying. My question is should I replace the cooler with another liquid cooler (will it be any quieter?), or just get a good air cooler?
  15. Why would anyone on a budget choose HughesNet? I'm not sure what kind of help you want. It's not like anyone is going to let you mail them your PS4 so they can download it for you.
