  5. "Disk /dev/sdb doesn't contain a valid partition table" In GParted, it shows 4 partitions; a 31.50 KB unknown, a 119.50 MB unallocated, a 8.50 MB hfs+ with a boot flag and a 37.14 GB unknown. drive has files of utmost importance. halp and ill be forever thankful.

  9. UPDATE: So I just realized that the HDD is from a 2005 iBook G4. Luckily, my PC also happens to be a Hackintosh, so I just booted into OSX, plugged in the HDD aaaand... still nothing. Can't see the HDD listed anywhere except system info, where it only shows up as a generic mass storage device.

  13. It's a 2.5 inch drive. so it should be getting all the power from the USB port itself. Also, I don't see any way to give it extra power.
  14. Hello guys! I have an old Fujitsu 40GB HDD that I'd like to recover data from. I bought a IDE to USB adapter from Amazon, plugged in the HDD aaaand... nothing. Went to disk management, immediately got this clicked on OK, got this drive may contain important files. help pls ;-; UPDATE: So I just realized that the HDD is from a 2005 iBook G4.   16. nvm I got it working by plugging in another hub into the USB hub that I was already using. YES THATS RIGHT GUYS ITS WORKING
  17. I NEED TO DO THIS QUICK So I just bought a new Audioengine D1 DAC. Got it home, plugged it into computer aaaaaannndd.... "USB Device not recognized" Looked around in device manager, its a Code 43 i.e Device Descriptor Request Failed. pls help me guiz ill be 5ever indebted ;-; ._.
