Well, not as much time for anime/manga tonight, but at least I managed to drop a couple of shows, which should let me focus more next week.
    Dimension W (2). so-so.
Well now, isn't this a lazy script so far? It's very coincidence-driven, stuff just happens to push the plot along, there's lots of exposition, people jump to conclusions and make bizarre cartoony decisions, and top it all off the anime is actively trying to avoid showing any substantial consequences for the weirder bits that happen, all in the name of "mystery" (ie, it's holding its cards too close to its chest). And what was with that transparency-grid background behind "Loser" when he made his flashy entrance? Did someone just forget to put the real background in those shots and they cheaped out? So yeah, I'm a bit disappointed in Dimension W so far. I wasn't expecting too much after episode one, but it really isn't aiming very high at all. It has the tone of a teenager's anime, yet tries to mask that by having characters who look like they're adults. The characterization is flat and shallow, and the over-arching plot feels really weak and video-gamey. Heck, the robot girl even has convenient nekomimi-style ears, because how else are they going to make her interesting? Oh well, at least they have a dude dancing in the OP for no reason, amirite. Time to lower my expectations again...
    KonoSuba (2). so-so.
Soo.. the party thickens, and their misadventures continue. That's about it. I can't bring myself to hate this show, but that's really only because it does so little that I can't say much about it. My comments from the last episode basically still stand: it's mildly amusing but lingers on jokes a bit too long, the character dynamics are fun enough but nothing special, and there's little else about it that stands out in any way otherwise. That is, at this rate it's fine as a diversion but nothing I'll remember once it's over. The ED is probably the best thing about this anime so far, though it's always nice to see people get their comeuppance, even if it's in the mouth of a giant frog.
    Teekyuu 7 (1). decent.
Heh. This was surprisingly entertaining for such a dumb premise. Gotta love their passion for getting to the nationals.
    Teekyuu 7 (2). mediocre.
This ep felt really phoned in compared to the previous one. In fact I'd go as far as to call it "ass", but then I'd feel lame as well.
    Sushi Police (3). awkward.
I honestly have no idea what to think of this show after this episode. I'm can only guess that it's meant to be a winking parody of Japanese xenophobia. But what's clear is that I'm just not in the niche it's targeting, since it's not really doing much for me. Oh well, it happens.
    Haruchika (3). so-so.
It seems like they've settled into a silly little rut of introducing new cast members with semi-tragic pasts; dead little brothers, and now kids with adoption issues. The problem is that this series wants to be too many things, including a comedy, and none of it has really clicked with me as of this episode. I do like Chika's character more than I expected I would, but not enough to counteract the obnoxious plot device that is Haruta. Seriously, the guy is a major busybody, and has obviously read the script in advance or something, because he's damn near prescient. That doesn't make for good drama. It makes this another Beautiful Bones, like I was saying in my episode 2 review. I wouldn't mind if the show was merely a comedy or parody, but to try to shovel in drama that's wrapped up in such a tidy bow is kinda rich. Not to mention that they want me to take it fairly seriously. That's just asking for too much from me as a viewer, and I think I've had enough for now.

The manga is quite different (remember, there's an older Birdy manga with its own older OVA, and "Decode" is its own thing, with a manga that's a fair bit different than even its anime). Problem is, Decode's manga hasn't been fully-translated/scanlated yet, as far as I'm aware.

I know this case has probably been out for ages and I'm just confirming what everyone else has said, but still... For my second PC build (I built a friends PC for him) I had the pleasure of building in what I think could be one of the 'best for price' cases out there. Firstly, it has an extremely nice glossy blue finish on the outside, with a plastic coat. The metal of the side panels doesn't 'pop' in and out of shape (like my Antec GX200). It also comes with, what looks like a glass side panel, but is plastic, no one can tell without touching it. Yes, the side panel is a bit dark, but some LEDs should soon fix that problem. Inside, you get about 1cm of cable management (the side panel slides on without a hitch) and no drive bays restricting you to a small graphics card. Instead you get a metal cover, behind which lies the PSU, drive bays and SSD bay. This is the only case I have seen under $50 that has this feature. It has support for 5 120mm fans, which is more that anyone could ever want and includes 2 2.5inch bays for all your disc drive needs. It is, however, on the bigger side of midi towers so make sure you have enough space for it.

Overall, if you are looking for a really solid blue midi tower this is the one to go for. The build quality is great and it's a joy to build in.

I have been through this thread quite a few times yet I have not posted anything so here we go....

So as a side job a work at a computer repair store near my house and have seen quite the show, most of the people we get in are great to talk with anywhere from a war vet to your average stay at home mom who has a lot on her mind. Anyways I think the best experiences I have had are when people come in to have there computer worked on and find out that we also do recycling and don't charge for it unless it is a CRT monitor or T.V. Most of the time the stuff they bring in is old Dell Dimensions 2400s or T.Vs but you will sometimes have people who bring in a 4 year old computer and give it to us all because they just upgraded to a Surface pro or something and the 4 year old system is "just to slow and outdated" so needless to say most of our parts/stock is from old systems people bring in and consider outdated, so far the best being my current main system case and a Pentium E5300 that overclocks like a bat out of hell No IBM PS/2 yet

I was at work, talking to one of my female coworkers about Windows 10.  In the middle of the conversation a guy that was just transferred to our department comes over and starts screaming at us.  It turns out he is her ex-boyfriend.  I'm guessing he isn't very tech savvy (or very bright) because he thought we were talking about his penis when we kept saying Microsoft.

2010. It's definitely safer than my dad's protege, which only has 2 airbags, while the corolla has 6, not to mention abs and traction control too. but the protege is still much more fun to drive being smaller and better sounding.

Oh, and this is coming from a guy who has an eight year old AMD Turion II-based Toshiba laptop where the thermal paste lasted a whole two years against the still alive CPU and GPU.

The only true safety on a gun isn't on the gun, it's in your mind.

This just makes guns useless for self defense. What if you forget your watch at home? What if your watch dies? What if somebody steals the watch? What if you're being attacked, and the electronic mechanism fails?

Nobody would buy a gun like this. Useless for sport, useless for self defense, useless for hunting. This would only promote the sale of illegal firearms, since anybody serious about protecting their family doesn't want anything like this. It gives criminals an advantage, since they don't have to worry about that safety when they buy a gun on the black market. It'll probably be easier to take down police in something like a bank robbery, since they'll be scrambling to shove their gun onto their wrist so it'll shoot.

And what happens when someone decides to hack the safety feature and jam your gun when you need it most? IMHO Gun control should be about gun responsibility.

If it's not effective, and doesn’t work, than at least it shows that people are trying to make stuff like this work.

I quote from the Off-Topic posting guidelines: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/234698-posting-guidelines-please-read/

We have actually mostly been pretty lenient about this to be honest, so I understand how some people might think this rule isn't applied or have just overlooked its existence. But it's there, so don't push things too far. Hence, cleaned out Third Reich post. Don't do that, please. Thanks.
Anyway, glad you're enjoying yourself, Jev. If you meet any trolls, feel free to report them for us to deal with.
