  1. He should've said: "You need to replace the owner of the phone."
  2. that sh*tty moment when you've got a good movie to watch but your machine can't play it back smoothly...

  3. A working PS1 and several games including Pepsi Man A working PS2 and several games A working PSP (that needs the joypad repaired) some ship and plane models a few action figures/statuettes (includes Gunpla and Revoltech... want to get started with GSC tho... but too expensive...)... not much...
  4. And back from the con again... Nothing to post this time since I didn't go to the event floor and only passed through the mall area in front of the event... too many people to try and take decent pics... on the other hand, got to meet up with the member of another community that I'm in... including two of our community's idols...
  5. Currently trying out DotVPN's chrome extension... Nice and fast (I can max out my contract speed on the VPN)... not sure if it'll still hold true once my 7-day free 'speed boost' expires... you can also try out Hola (Chrome extension) and VPNGate(system-wide)...
  6. it costs ~30USD per month... and our local counterpart of the FCC still won't change the old regulations of 128kbps as the definition of 'broadband'... probably when the next administration steps up, the new definition will be 3Mbps rather than the 10Mbps uncapped that we're pushing for... at least the ISPs took initiative and made 2Mbps the minimum plan that you can apply for... but that gets throttled to 384kbps when you get past the cap on one ISP or you get charged extra on the other ISP... oh and it also goes all the way down to dial up speed if you live in a congested area...
  7. try downloading 60GB on a 3mbps 10GB daily capped line... #thirdworldproblems
  8. You can spec it out by determining the model number of the case... or booting it up and installing speccy... If it's a mini with DDR2, I'm guessing it's got something from a Pentium D all the way to a Core2 Quad depending on the model number on the case... It should be good as a home file/media/web server... not sure about minecraft or teamspeak though...
  9. More coming up tomorrow... I was surprised by the amount of people who showed up earlier... We went beyond the capacity of the hall that was rented by the event organizers and spilled out onto the various parts of the mall (not a small building, 6 floors, over 200 meters in length)... this made the mall management force themselves to open up the other hall since the number of people were disrupting the businesses on the floor...
  10. and back from school and day 1 of a local anime con...
  11. I'm out of stuff to do... I'm itching to try out Remix OS for a week, but I have no available machine to install it on... I have an old P4 HT laptop with no HDD (it's running DSL on a live CD)... *vigorously suppresses Texan stereotype implanted by educational system and mass media*
  12. Kiro looks nice... although I don't play games that often anymore, getting a mouse with a better sensor would help with my audio, photo, and video editing tasks...

  14. Ok... I now like Oppo... They've rolled out 2 updates for my device since when I first turned it on...

  15. Demo the thing in front of an audience... I usually get my referrals from doing easier repairs in public areas (i.e. school hallway/library) using a minimal set of tools (a screwdriver set, rubber bulb/camera cleaning thing, brushes, and a liveUSB of a random distro of Linux)... I don't charge that much though... 250PhP (<5USD) for labor on the harder stuff... no labor fee for cleaning... sometimes, clients treat me to snacks or coffee afterwards, and I'm fine with that...
  16. most likely a basic rookie mistake... hitting a corner too fast, understeering, and crashing into a tree... I'm assuming that this is a base model Vios with the 1.5 VVTi 5-speed M/T and no airbags.... here's one article of the incident: http://www.gmanetwork.com/news/story/551660/news/regions/four-minors-identified-as-among-those-killed-in-tagaytay-car-crash It still does not rule out possible saftey issues with the Vios... Crashing and bursting into flames is not what I would call 'safe'... especially in the area where they crashed (I've driven there often... hard to get past 60km/h in that area even with an empty road...)
  17. Which corolla? and speaking of Toyotas, a 2015 Vios crashed and burned near my area... killed all 6 people in the car... victims were all minors (15-17 y/o) and the driver had no license... Should the families sue Toyota?
  18. Finally on the final stages of the 8.1 upgrade... after over 12 hours... I know my net connection is slow (even more so after I throttled the specific IP of this laptop to 2Mbps), but over 12 hours!? ARE YOU KIDDING ME WINDOWS!?

    1. Ruostunut kokis

      Ruostunut kokis

Upgrading my tablet took about 3 hours and 2 bluescreens (both of which are the only ones I have had in my life). It also apparently broke the motherboard somehow...

Windows 8.1 upgrade sure is odd...

  19. man.. the windows 8.1 upgrade is taking really long..

You know what? I think i'm happy that all these…

banhammers were unwarranted imo... It's just users with probably legitimate complaints... but imo, taking it to slick directly might've been a better approach...

    The saltier ones?
  22. ? no no... Arpeggio is set in postwar era and the ships of the fog used WWII ship-forms as far as I can recall... Haven't read beyond the part where the designer child and Haruna got closer...
  23. You should read the manga... it's way better... (which reminds me, it's been almost a year since I read a chapter of it...)
