  1. Hey guys i need some help with restoring my windows backup. when i created the backup i dont think i created a system image to go with it, so the windows restore software can't find anything to restore from but i have 1TB of data that was saved when i created the backup. is there anyway i can get windows to restore from the backup without a system image. I hope you guys can help
  2. System Spec; CPU: i7 3770K PSU: Corsair RM750 GPU: 2x MSI 780 Lighting I need advice on an issue I'm having supplying power to my computer. I recently bought another 780 and the PSU only has 3 8pin connectors on it which is only enough to power the motherboard and one graphics card, however i need to use all them for both the graphics cards and the 8pin motherboard power, which leaves me the problem of powering the 6pin motherboard power using one of the 6pin outlets. I haven't been able to find a 6pin to 6pin cable. Can anyone help me out with any ideas on what I could do.
  3. Im thinking about getting this headset to replace my current Corsair 2100s, i plan on pairing which ever headphones/headset i get with the Asus Xonar STX. a microphone is not important to me, is the G4ME ZERO a good choice or is there something better out there thats similarly priced. Any help appreciated. (there for gaming)
  4. i cant try the CPU switch as i dont have anything to remove thermal paste and i dont have any thermal paste to re-apply. its not the PSU as i tried my fully working PSU in his system and still same problem
  5. my friend has had a few problems with is computer and its been getting worse(im not entirely sure what problems) then lately it has just not been booting up. when i push the power it turns on for about 2 seconds then just dies, it will keep on trying to boot itself back up until you kill the power form the machine. i thought it might have been the PSU but ive changed it over with my fully working one and still the same problem. any help much appreciated. he has a: asrock z68 extreme4 gen3 motherboard and an i7 CPU, 2 HDD, a CD drive and a msi lightning 780.
  6. thats good to hear, i was thinking it could maybe of been my card on its way out. thanks
  7. i thought that would have came under the streaming category?
  8. my graphics card occasionally ramps itself up to 100% load when im just searching the net, not even streaming any videos. can anyone enlighten me to why this may be happening. im currently using a gtx460. thanks
  9. if i get a 7970 would that support mantle or is that only on the r9 series
  10. i was wondering if anyone could help me with this, im upgrading my GTX460 and cant decide if it would be worth getting the 780, i can afford it but currently its £180 more then the 770. ive only got a 1080p monitor and i wont be going any higher then that, im thinking if its really worth that extra money considering the 770 im looking at has a 1Gb more faster memory. please help me make a decision, and dont just say 780 because its a more beastly card, i know it is but its price for performance im looking at. thanks in advance
  11. thanks, i don't know why that didn't cross my mind, its been a long night
  12. i am building a computer for my friend and he has a £400 budget and i havnt got a lot experience with different CPU's, can anyone tell me if this CPU would be suitable for a gaming PC. hes not looking for a beast machine just something better then the current consoles. thnks for any replys.
