  1. Awesome, thank you so much, I believe I'm going to go with a thinner rad tho.

I am thinking about doing one too, just not nearly as expensive.

    What are you building?
  4. So I want to get into water cooling but was wondering if a 63mm radiator would be too thick for the top part of the phanteks luxe.
  5. So basically I have no idea where to start on this one. I want to do a server for backups, plex, and store movies, so that way I can keep the main desktops noise to a minimum. This will run 24/7, which I don't think will cost that much in electricity. I've been looking into xeon, but it needs to be fairly low powered and have room for a raid 1 setup. Also I do not know what the passmark is for streaming outside your home network, but I would want to be able to stream to 4 TVs, plus one or two outside my network. Any suggestions would be helpful, thank you. Note: I will not be streaming movies in 4k, just 1080p.
  6. That's actually fine for the ram if we decide to upgrade it I will just use 2 sticks at 8gb a piece. Haha. I doubt it will come to that. Thank you for your help.
  7. I like this but is it hard to update the bios for ryzen?
  8. Nothing fancy just wireless things would be nice. 1 terabyte hard drive soul be plenty.
  9. Basically this is for my father and he doesn't really use anything heavy on it, no gaming, just uses it for photos, emails, research, Microsoft office and that's about it. Currently he has a 10 year old desktop that still has DDR2 in it and it takes about 100+ seconds to load, and just normal things just weigh the processor down. I was wondering what kind of build to do for this, budget is $500 dollars, monitor is already bought with speaker system, and I currently have an SSD on order (Crucial 500gb from amazon) that we can use as well. I do need a wireless mouse and keyboard included in the budget tho. Thanks in advance. This is what I was thinking. 10. I know they are riddled with wiring problems, same reason I will not buy a charger or a Lincoln anymore. Also thought about both of these as well.
  11. Well lets be clear 18000 to 19000 is my limit i really dont car on the car so much as long as it has 4 doors and awd for the winter, alot of traveling will be done. I prefer sedans tho. Found a catty tho.
  12. I like them but I might consider it if it had 4 doors. carseats aren't fun in coupes.
  13. I was looking for right around the 18,000 dollar max, I would have a higher one but I have to get my fiance a Toyota Camry as well. How are the repairs on the G35x tho, just curious since I know Audi and higher end cars have higher repair costs as well.
  14. Haha. I know I know its a tech community, but there was alot of car people around here when I was around more. So lets see if someone has some input. Currently I have a 2009 Chevy Impala with 156000 miles on it I plan on trading in when I move here this season. I was thinking of getting either one of these two cars: 2015 Nissan Altima 3.5 SV w/ Navigation. Pro's: heated everything for winter, navigation, good gas mileage, among other things. cons: no AWD. 2014 Ford Fusion Titanium with the 2.0L I4 Turbo engine. Pro's: AWD, navigation, spacious, good gas milage. Con's: Not heated everything. Problem is I am looking more to which is a reasonable car and why, like I'm asking people who may own them or for opinions. Basically I need a family car for my next car and I want to know which is safer, and ect ect, and what your opinions are. Thanks.
  15. I wasn't meaning that as an insult and I'm sorry you took it that way. I was just trying to be realistic.
  16. Quiet Decent Gaming capabilities. Bluray player.
  17. Decent laptop for about 2000 (USD)? Best one for the money, would prefer backlit keyboard with a 17" screen.
  18. Well I actually found it new for like $350 dollars...as I said before I don't like my products used...do you have a decent motherboard to go with it? Something that has like 9 Sata ports?

  20. You might run into major heat problems if you do this...leather traps heat.
  21. Whats the best home server operating system out there? I was thinking about using either Amahi or Nas4Free, originally I wanted to use FreeNas, and yet openmediavault is also a possibility. What it would be used for is going to be listed below, I'm just looking for some input, and as far as that goes I will list what I am looking for as far as a home server goes. Cost of setup Backup of all things electronic in my house Central storage & transcoding for plex. Central storage for iTunes Server as well. Redundancy, which can be solved with RAID 6 if need be, I would like this to at least stand a couple drive falls. Easy to Use, like for plex and backups Able to access outside and use it like a cloud system. Support for antivirus. Support for VPN. CPU with a decent Passmark (8k or above). Thanks.
  22. This case comes with rosewill fans which are normally pretty good, come with molex connectors....ewww...replacement fans please. May go with nocia fans since no one will see them.
