  1. Got it. So would I need to go into the BIOS after installing the 2nd kit and apply the XMP profile again? Or would I just be able to plug and play since I"m already using the XMP profile for my current kit which has the exact same specs?
  2. What if the 2 kits have different memory manufacturers? Would that cause an issue?
  3. This is my current RAM that I purchased 2 years ago. It's a 16GB (2x8GB) kit of Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3200 CL16 memory. The version number is 4.32, and the timings are 16-18-18-36. The full model name is CMK16GX4M2B3200C16. I'm now at the point where 16GB isn't enough for my daily workloads, and I want to upgrade to 32GB. I'm considering just buying this kit which looks identical (besides the color) and adding it to my existing 16GB, but I want to make sure it's actually the same and that the 2 kits will be able to run together perfectly. Can anyone advise on whether or not it's ok to do this, and what steps I should take after installing the new RAM to make sure it works without a problem? My CPU is a Ryzen 5 3600 and my motherboard is a MSI B450 Tomahawk Max.
  4. I just bought a new Sceptre 1440p monitor and noticed that there are 2 settings on the OSD that control how bright the screen gets - "brightness" and "backlight". Which one should I change and why?
  5. I can't do that because I'm using DisplayPort for Freesync and 144Hz.
  6. The real question is whether Cyberpunk 2077 will support AMD's version of raytracing
  7. I'm trying to decide between these 2 ergonomic gaming mice. Which one is better and why?
  8. I've been using a Deathadder 3.5G for 10 years. It's finally time to upgrade and I can't decide what to get. The obvious choice would be the Deathadder v2 as it's the direct successor to the mouse I've used for the past decade, but I've been looking at other more lightweight mice and the Model D has really captured my interest. I also heard that there will be a Model D- coming out very soon so I am tempted to wait for that. I use a hybrid palm/fingertip grip and play FPS games but also use my computer for productivity and other tasks. I've never tried a mouse with holes before so I'm worried that it will feel less comfortable. Which mouse should I get?
  9. that's a ton of effort to just play a simple game. Honestly they should just get rid of Vanguard like Doom Eternal got rid of Denuvo.
  10. I'm just worried that this is some system level file and th at Vanguard blocking it would cause performance issues or bluescreens. If it's not important then I could delete it so that Vanguard stops notifying me about it? Is it safe to delete the file?
  11. I have Mystic Light and RGBFusion. However both of them launch just fine even after Vanguard blocked inpoutx64.sys. So I don't think either of them are the culprit. I don't even know what inpoutx64.sys even is lol
  12. Even if I don't put it to sleep, if the screens timeout after 20 minutes the windows are moved and resized as well. Is there really no way to fix this?
  13. I have 2 Display Port monitors. One is a Dell and the other is an Acer. Every time I wake my PC from sleep, all my windows on the secondary monitor have been resized and moved back to the primary monitor. No matter what I do, I cannot seem to fix this issue. On my old PC, this would never happen, and my windows would stay in the same position after waking from sleep. My new PC is running a Ryzen CPU and a RX 5700 graphics card, but since my previous PC had an AMD card as well (HD 7970), I don't think it's a GPU issue. It could possibly be an issue with AMD CPUs since my previous computer had an Intel Core i7. Does anyone know how to fix this? It's driving me crazy because every single time I wake my PC i have to reposition my windows.
  14. Well it may be "future proof", but for every new build I also use a new case so this is irrelevant. And for now that means I only have one front-panel USB port which is way too little.
  15. No wonder my fans spins like crazy even when idle. They must be responding to the +20C temp...
  16. Why does it only drop to 2.2 and not lower than that?
  17. For teh Ryzen Balanced power plan, it is set to 99% by default.
  18. I keep hearing reviewers saying Noctua fans are silent at full speed so that was why their default setting (60%) surprised me with how loud they were. But yeah I'll set a fan curve with MSI Command Center
  19. Is there any downside to setting the minimum processor state to 5% on my 3600? It is currently set to 99% and my CPU stays at 3.6GHz when idle instead of downclocking (Ryzen Balanced plan). Thanks!
  20. I just installed a Noctua NF-F12 and NF-A14 in my case and I noticed that they're a lot louder than the original fans that came with my NZXT H500. They spin at around 1,200 rpm and are very audible. Are Noctua fans designed to be run at very low rpms (eg 400-500) while still moving a lot of air, or is the optimal fan speed >1,000 rpm? Just a bit disappointed as I keep hearing how silent Noctua fans are but it doesn't seem to be the case for me.
  21. I noticed that Ryzen Master shows the idle temps for my 3600 in the mid 30C range, whereas according to other tools such as HWMonitor, my CPU idles at 40-50 degrees Celcius. Which tool is correct?
