Currently using a GT 750M in my Lenovo Y500 laptop. My brother has some left over parts from an old build and a new GPU would be the PERFECT way to reuse all those old parts again.

well he had a phenom x2 940 before this i5. I needed DDr4 so I got some from frys electronics and that was fine. I saw a similar kit go on sale for less money and returned it. I think the blue screens started after I installed the new ram.

Just tried that and had a memory management blue screen.

Hello all, ever since I upgraded my brothers PC its been blue screening on startup. This has been happening for months now and hes reinstalled windows to try and fix everything but now hes having issues with the task bar getting locked and not responding in addition to the blue screens on start up. Hes run mem tests and windows memory diagnostic and both came up with nothing. Hes moved the ram around and tried under and over clocking. He's also noticed that it only blue screens after a couple hours of the PC being off. If the PC's off for a couple minutes after its been turned on then its fine. He's reformatted three times now, thanks for any help you guys can offer. SPECS i5 6600k Gigabyte GA-Z170-HD3P 2x8GB Corsair LPX 2400Mhz EVGA 600B R9 280 Dual X x2 HDD

Thinking about getting a H110i GT instead of a Noctua D15 but I've heard that water coolers develop problems after about 2 or 3 years. Have you guys had a water cooler for at least 3 years and experienced an issue with your radiator, pump or tubes? Maybe weird noises developing or something similar.

What about case fans or cpu coolers? how often do you guys think that stuff could stay in a build?

I've seen people say they completely rebuild their pc every 4 years or so and I was wondering if there are any parts that stay constant. I would think a good case and psu could last multiple builds. What parts do you guys usually keep over multiple builds?

My brother needs a new headset and I was wondering how these two compare in the closed headphone category. The Tascam combo comes out to around 55 bucks since I'd wana get the Brainwav replacement pads and the Hyper X is 80. Is the 25 dollar difference justified in terms of sound quality? I like the X because the one wire system is much less irritating than two but if the sound quality is not insanely better than he can deal with the Tascams instead.

I've heard that you can set up the keyboard to boot your pc. Is this even possible? The way I picture it is like this, my pc would be completely off and I would just press the key i assigned to boot the pc and the computer turns on. I was looking into getting a power switch extension because my pc will be far away and it would be nice to have a something in front of me for booting but this gaming hotkey sounds like it would do that. Am I missing something here?

Did you contact corsair about that? whats their policy on dead leds?

I wanted to pick up one of these keyboards but the problem was the really unintuitive and glitchy software. Has this changed?

is 4k even worth it? how much 4k content is there?

Does anyone know if the Steam controller connects via bluetooth or wifi? I want to pick up a shield tablet but the nvidia controller doesn't interest me, you guys think the Steam controller would work?

Oh wow, that sounds better than the Corsair. Which would be better? 750 G2 or 760AXi
