Was helping a friend diagnosing his computer, and managed to plug in the floppy power for the graphics card upside down, you can just say that graphics card and PSU went toast.
Also, when putting on a cooler on some of my older motherboards, I put on a back plate (metal) without any insulation between that and the MB. Both the processor and the MB died on me.

Amazon put $50 on my account for my honesty when we thought it was theirs, but I have a feeling UPS and Apple won't say anything, but I'm okay with that. I feel good doing the right thing here. I could have kept them, no one would have ever known, but in the end, they weren't mine.

To have energy-efficient graphics in a notebook would seem like a good idea for people on the move, but if they also perform very well, maybe they will drag some gamers down to the notebook market?

So it seems that we ended up making some noise. Looks like senators and business's are starting to realize that what the FCC is doing is completely the opposite of what they should be doing. It seems like everyone's finally taking this seriously or at least some major players are.

The ASUS Hyper Express is ASUS's new try at the SSD scene, with Kingston supporting them behind.

It's made up by two tested with two Kingston mSATA SSD's in RAID 0, which will make this thing very fast.
Although, as said in the article it might be changed over to M.2 SSDs in a future version.
It will sport the SATA Express interface, coming to ASUS's motherboards very soon.

Speeds are looking to be around in the 700Mbps area, though more is on the picture below.

I think this is a interesting product by ASUS, nobody has really gone out with a something like it before (feel free to correct me),
Two SSDs in one enclosure could make an awesome product.

More info is in the link on top.

Anything Logan says, I take with a grain of salt now after his " Gaming Audio Myths: Avoid the BS & Save your Audio Life"  video. But this was from Wendal, not Logan, so I guess it's okay unless he's proved otherwise. Logan made me lose all respect for him after bringing that "Audio guy" into that video.

    Hey!

Yes. You read that right (or not, considering my English is not that good...)

Okay, so I had a plan of making myself a storage server for a long time.
I finally started the plan about a month or so ago, so, here's my plan.

    Fractal Design Define Mini/Arc Mini
    Supermicro X9SCL-F motherboard
    Kingston 16GB 1333Mhz (2x8GB) ECC kit
Intel Core i3 2120 (already have it before hand)
6 WD Red 2TB drives (already bought)
A Chieftec 550W PSU (probably more than enough, I have it already)

So, first at all you might wonder why I plan to buy a Supermicro MB and a ECC kit.
Well, i'm planning to run ZFS in FreeNAS to remove the need for a expensive RAID controller, and by browsing the FreeNAS forum, the admins recommend using ECC RAM (..and with that I need a ECC compatible motherboard)
I'll run it in RAIDZ2 to have the data on 6 drives, and if two fail, my data is still there (basically just like RAID 6)
I do already have some of the parts, and would really not have to buy something I already has, except if any of my parts does not work well/is not recommended and so on.

I will try to put up some pictures when I get the parts here, and I'll try to get a nice look over the server.

Thanks for reading, and thanks in advance for your input,
    K

The 16GB was more of a future-proofing, ZFS requires at least 4GB of RAM, and 8 is reccomended. 16GB is just to fill up the board for the future, but most of the RAM is for ZFS itself, yes.
