  1. I've been looking at it, I've heard complaints about the lighting and how it's activated but that's my current best option, it seems.
  2. I'm not looking for anything mechanical, I was looking at the CM storm octane bundle but I can't find it anyhere in stock with a UK layout, Amazon are selling Itallian ones and other sites are only listing pre-orders. What would be a good option in the £30-55 mark? (can either be a combo or listed on their own) I'm not looking for anything amazing, just well built and not too tacky looking with those crazy wrist rests or a billion macro keys. I'm thankful for any help!
  3. I've been looking around. Does anyone know if the Asus VS239HV a good monitor? It's 23", has an IPS panel and only 5ms response time. And it's only £120. How would this do for gaming?
  4. So I'm looking for a monior for around £120. I've considered going 144hz or 1440p but I feel It's best to put that money back into the build and save some for the steam sale. (cookie cutter 4690k/GTX 970 build btw) So what's the best I can get for around £120-£140? The one I'm currently looking at is the Acer G246HLBBID. Thanks for reading :-)
  5. Thanks guys, It's 9pm here and we're all tired so I'm probably going to try this stuff tomorrow when my head's a little clearer but I appreciate all the help, it's nice to have real people tell you things that make sense.
  6. Another thing I forgot to mention is that my brother claimed he heard a clunking noise coming from the computer when he started the backup, I didn't hear it but I thought I'd mention it just in case it's useful. Also, thanks guys for 2 replies in less than a minute, I guess Linus is right when he says he has an awesome community. :-)
  7. Ok my brother's computer is a 2.5 year old dell (We got our computers before I was ever interested in PC building) and when he came home, he saw a windows warning saying 'Hard disk failure, please backup your files immediately' or something to that effect. Thankfully he always has a WD external USB hard drive connected to his pc so he started the backup. But at 12%, the backup window said 'not responding' and the pc crashed. I don't know what to do from here, I'm considered 'the tech guy' of my family so I'm somewhat expected to make it all better and I'm stumped. I need your guys' help on how to proceed. Also, I don't think a virus did this as he has an antivirus and only uses sites like youtube, twitter facebook and wikipedia. Thanks for reading and I'll be greatful for any help. Update: We turned the computer back on again and although there are some unsual noise coming from the HDD, we're trying the backup again and I think we're at 8% atm, I'll keep updating this.
