  1. If you look at the pictures you'll see that it was drained mostly during the night (was full somewhere around 6PM and checked at 7:36 when I woke up), and CPU Spy indicates it was in deep sleep for 69% of the time, meaning screen was off. I checked before I went to sleep at around midnight and it was about 86-90% (don't remember exactly). I don't really think it's the screen since it was locked since I took these pictures 30 minutes ago, and the battery's now 2% lower. Even if it is the screen then it should show the screen taking the majority of the battery and not Android OS.
  2. Hey guys! The annoying Android OS battery drain bug on Android 5 really pissed me off and I thought maybe upgrading to 5.1.1 might fix the problem. Since Asus is for some reason not giving any date for a 5.1/5.1.1 release on the ZF2 I decided to flash the ROM to CM12.1. Followed this guide on XDA http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/general/guide-to-flash-cm12-1-zf2-newbies-t3165515 Everything is working fine and seems to be okay, except for the fact the battery drain is still there... Something that might possibly cause that is that I skipped the 3rd stage to apply OTA manually (stage 3), since I assumed that the recovery will anyways update me to 5.1.1 (which it looks like it did). Anyone knows of a fix/workaround to this? Or will it stick with any version because of some incompatibility with the x86 CPU or something?
  3. Hey people! My trusty Nexus 4 is aging and even though it runs pretty smoothly it has some problems, like random shutdowns, touch jerkiness, network connection interruptions and such. So I've been looking to replace it in the near future and have a couple ideas in mind: A. Get the Zenfone 2 Z551ML (4GB RAM 32GB storage version) - My got this one not so long ago and really enjoys it, great phone overall and is a bang for the buck beast. Especially since I'm looking to buy it at a regional store and it's 1688NIS (about 445USD, which is pretty reasonable) B. Wait for the Nexus 5/6 2015. I've seen some leaks, and even if they seem pretty insane (like the 85000 AnTuTu benchmark score) it still seems like a pretty solid phone if it'll be priced properly (for a Nexus device that is). ~The reason I'm more into actually getting the Zenfone 2 is it's Atom processor; seeing that it can run full desktop Windows 7 I'm not going to be surprised if it could run an x86 version of Win10 or get a Windows 10 Mobile ROM eventually from Microsoft, and since I don't know anyone with a WP device I'd really like to try it myself (especially after W10 release). ~About waiting until Q4 (N5 2015 is expected to launch during October according to some leaks), until October I'm not going to need the phone that much anyways, because I won't have too much hands-on time with it, which makes waiting a definite possibility. On the other hand I heard Asus might raise the Zenfone's price after a while but I saw it drop in about 150Nis (over where I'm planning on buying it) in a month and a half, so... Who knows, hopefully it won't increase nor will my N4 die on me. Thanks for any help
  4. The Moto G could be pretty good but it's slightly out of my price range and I think they'll be more comfortable with a smaller screen size. Can't find the Moto E here for some reason and for the Redmi I think the 4.7" screen is going to be too big and yet again, out of my price (unless I'll order from china, which is not likely since if something happens RMA is going to take ages) Any other suggestions?
  5. Hey people! Recently both my grandparents' cell phones (some old Nokia shells) started falling apart and after several months of arguing they finally agreed that we'll get them a smartphone. Been researching for a while (not too familiar with the low-end stuff) and I've kind of settled in to the thought of getting them both a Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini (for the 1500mAh battery and hopefully small yet not too small screen size) but I'm not entirely certain. Looking to spend around 200$ (in local currency) and I'm looking for an Android device with a ~4" screen, the more battery the better and version 4.2 or newer (preferably without rooting and switching roms because A. I don't have too much time on my hands and B. Would probably void the warranty that they might need) Also - any suggestion for a better UI that could ease the switch and assist them? Thanks!
  6. My current build is pretty solid for me right now but I wanted to upgrade and start overclocking a bit, plus I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to start modding so I wanted to figure some stuff out for the mod/upgrade. Here are my current specs (things I'll be replacing are going to be sold 2nd hand so my budget won't be completely set in stone) Mobo: Gigabyte Z87-DS3H (bought a cheapo board) CPU: 4670K stock clocked Current cooler: Scythe Ninja 3 GPU: Gigabyte GTX 770 2GB PSU: FSP Group Hexa 700W Memory: 2X4GB HyperX Beast T3 2400Mhz clocked @1600Mhz Case: NZXT Phantom 410 The idea was an Alan Wake themed mod with some sort of light versus darkness theme, thought about the yellow to try and do something that also involves the torch from the game because I think a straight line would look pretty bad as a border between the white and black. Wanted to add a PSU shroud to the Phantom 410 that'll also have a couple slots on the top to mount 2 SSDs (Currently have an 840 EVO 120GB and want to add a 850 EVO 500GB for games), and also enlarge the window so that it'll look cooler and fit the torch sticker Went to sketch the idea on a piece of paper and that's how it went with my very limited Photoshop skills, so I'm open for ideas in general if you have anything in particular with the theme. So my current plans are: Mobo: get a white/black board (currently have my eyes on the MSI Z97S SLI Krait edition) Mem: get white/black ram, possibly 2 or 4 sticks of either Klevv Genuine (looks pretty cool in my opinion) 8GB or HyperX Fury (although getting the Genuine is going to be 1.5 times the price of the Fury) Cooling: Planning on trying a custom loop, current plans are a 5.25" dual bay res/pump from EK (EK-DBAY D5 PWM (incl. pump)), whilst keeping my 4670K rather than upgrading it to save costs and staying with the LGA1150 chipset for the Krait board and getting something like the Supremacy Evo White Edition for the CPU. Reasons for the 5.25" bay res are just because I'm thinking of removing the front door and placing it there with a pump/fan controller like the NZXT Sentry 3, so that could look pretty neat. PSU: not entirely sure yet, probably going to get a 600-800 modular PSU second hand and get black/white cables somehow. GPU: when everything else is done I'll upgrade to a top tier Nvidia gpu probably, either the 980 or Titan X or something and watercool that also What I'm also thinking is - hold off on the mobo upgrade and wait for Skylake sometime this year (since I'm not going to be using the computer a lot in the near future anyways). Any thoughts about this also? How do you like the idea and appearance in general as well? Thanks
  7. The res I saw on the EK store says it has a D5 pump included with the res
  8. Currently running a 4670K on a (well that was a mistake) Z87-DS3H board (was looking for a cheap board) with a Scythe Ninja 3 cooler (running stock 3.4GHz at room temp on idle ~25-33C mostly) and I wanted to OC it so I thought since I want to mod the case and everything I'd experience with a custom/AIO loop. My case is the NZXT Phantom 410 and I wanted to do some black/white mod with a larger side panel (maybe add a bit of yellow, want to do some sort of Alan Wake theme so light vs darkness with the torch symbol on the window, so maybe a yellow streak for a flashlight beam) First plans were to get the MSI Z97S Krait edition (black and white build) and a first GTX 980 (instead of my current 770), replace my HyperX Beast 2400MHz ram with a Klevv Genuine 1600MHz (I'm running the memory on 1600 anyways since it failed on me once at 2400 and I had to replace it, plus the Klevv looks awesome) and get a Fractal Kelvin S24 since A. it looks awesome, both pump/block and rad, and B. since it has G1/4" fittings that I can use to extend the loop to a GPU (which I was planning on doing afterwards). Recently I started thinking about it more into depth (that is actually thinking and doing some research rather that just daydreaming) and I don't think there's any chance that I can run a cpu/gpu combo with just the S24, so I thought that instead of just adding a res/pump combo or just res (I don't think the S24's pump will do in any case on it's own for that matter) I'd replace that with a custom loop (that'll probably end up being more expensive but I think I can deal with that). So - first question: Will the S24 pump be enough if I add a reservoir to it to cool both CPU and GPU? Current plans are to get a 5.25" dual bay res. Second question - Just checked and I should have 3cm clearance between the bottom of the Phantom 410 top mount and the mobo. Technically, it will barely be seen since my PC is under the table anyways (although I am planning on possibly getting a new desk and placing it on the desk) so first - will the 3cm thick fit with the mobo if I install it before the mobo (probably going to be a tight fit anyways) or should I just install it on the top. If I'm going to go with a complete custom loop my current plans are to get the EK DBAY D5 res/pump combo, EK Supremacy EVO White Edition and either XSPC EX240 (regular or crossflow on the top of the mount and fans on the inside in a pull config) or the XSPC AX240 (since it looks better and is available in white). The thing is that the EX240 are very limited in stock (not in production anymore as far as I understand) but are about 50$ vs the 100$ cost of the AX240. Anyone has experience with the Phantom 410 and 30-35mm thick rads? And what are your suggestions for getting it/any other pump/res/block for a custom loop? Thanks
  9. Tried that, did nothing. Nope. Also - I stated I use Win8.1 pro.... "If you are running Windows 7 64 bit" Can you at least state where you took this from?
  10. I don't understand? Am I supposed to remove the profile XMLs or the other XML file? And then what? Re-install or just re-start the program?
  11. Tried before, didn't work. Tried again now, still doesn't work. Could it have something to do with the fact that I've set it to start as Admin? Otherwise starting it any other way I can't get it to recognize my mouse.
  12. I've had my G502 for a while now and used LGS since I got it, but it never started with Windows. I have everything that should be set up to make it work set up (ticked the check mark on the software, made sure it's enabled on both TuneUp that I use and on the Startup tab in task manager) and even tried making a task for it to start in the task scheduler but nothing works. I've also went and edited the settings.json file and changed the main app autostart to true, but nothing works. Any help? Using Win8.1 Pro 64bit
  13. Would love to win a NUC. Would be a great addition to our living room
  14. Awesome giveaway I might use the CPU for video editing and multitasking (but I really lack the motivation to make more videos and mostly just play games for fun recently).
  15. Favorite part would be the 750W PSU. It doesn't really fit my current blue LED scheme in my NZXT Phantom 410 (Probably going to switch to the 1100 if I win) but I could probably paint it to match my current color scheme, but I do need it because I currently have my FSP Group HEXA 700 which I picked up because it was on sale and was pretty cheap, so it's not the best choice for me.
