JoopZ got a reaction from Beef Boss in Keyboard USB lagging bios
It's on a fresh install of W10 now with a new SSD, all drivers have been installed fresh to the latest available. I have updated BIOS to the latest version for the Maximus VI Hero.

JoopZ reacted to Hman1250 in A plan to convert a console player
It's possible. Let me tell you a story. In June I got my gaming PC even though I was still into console gaming. Realized that PC is way more fun and is way more tactical compared to the things on console. Get him a case with a side window and LED's with proper cable management too. First thing that made me transition to PC

JoopZ got a reaction from LokiFire in A plan to convert a console player
Yeah don't worry, I plan on sitting down with him as I build it showing him how to build it, maybe let him do it himself, then give him the full birds and the bees talk about building/interacting on computers.
EDIT: Oh and it wont be anything fancy with lights and a window for his first build, maybe he'll upgrade it over christmas' and birthdays to add them stuff later.

JoopZ got a reaction from SkilledRebuilds in A plan to convert a console player
Well he needs a PC for his school work also, that's why I'm just getting him one that works for now, but even he could tell the difference with GTA V on PS4 and on PC, even though I only had a 660 in my PC at the time, he said it felt much smoother, which is a good one to notice.

JoopZ got a reaction from LokiFire in A plan to convert a console player
I never said he was against it, I bought him about 3 games over christmas which he is loving, but he hasn't got a PC of his own, he really enjoys his PS4, but I think he will also enjoy PC, seeing how he wants to be on my other brothers PC as much as possible proves that he's not against it at all, and it's taking me next to no effort.

Thank you kind sir! It looks like the asus might be the better choice for me. But i'm still wondering if you know anything about which one is the most user-friendly when it comes to OC, or if one of them is a much better mobo for OC?

JoopZ reacted to dawafflemonstah in MSI Z170A GAMING M7 vs ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VIII HERO
My color scheme is red and black. If you have any suggestions for similar mobo's, i'm open to suggestions
Edit: white details would also fit

I am in the exact same situation.. But i am also quite new to OC, so I'm curious which one is the most "noob-friendly" overclocker

JoopZ reacted to kwljunky in deceptive reviews and shoddy advertisement practices being cracked down on in youtube re Machinima/xbox 1
Of-course he has, in fact the phrase.."THIS VIDEO IS SPONSORED BY"...Should be a massive hint!
Why would he go after the companies, he looks at the Pros and cons..but unless they practice clubbing baby seals...why go after the company?
..because on release they were hard to come by?? No retailer had them/Were sold out quickly do to supplies being limited..

JoopZ reacted to ammarez in You know you're a techie when. . .
random people- that you've never seen before in the school -asking you for help with tech related thingies
IT department calling you for help even though you were 14 years old
having an Ethernet cable , external hdd and a small usb always with you in case if anything happens
getting low marks in ICT classes because the teacher thinks that you are trying to show off unnecessary skills
building PC's for everyone you know -even people you don't know -

JoopZ reacted to DigitalHermit in You know you're a techie when. . .
when you have a box full of cables...
when you have more tech stuff than you actually use...
when you have a PC with no crapware/malware...
when you name your devices with pet names... (Like how I named my rig Mutsuki)
when you know how to use Linux to its fullest...
when you're updated with hardware and software stuff...
when you'd take anything tech, no matter how crappy or old, if it was given to you for free...
when you get pissed if you don't have full control over a machine...
when you get pissed if people don't get the best value in tech for their money...
when you can give a rough diagnosis of something at first glance...
when you can name the model of a device at a glance...

JoopZ got a reaction from seabass9990 in how to share games?
You could always purchase the game from another site like G2A for example, and buy 2 copies for the Steam price if you are that desperate to play together on a tight budget.

JoopZ reacted to capndev in [HELP] Problematic Hard Drive Partitions
Yeah. See that's what I've been concerned by. Although Windows was never installed (the furthest it got was prepping), It still has this system restore drive.
I'm not sure either. I'm going to give that a go tomorrow. I know I've tried formatting and deleting the SR drive but, the options are blanked out. I'll have to have a look in the UEFI Windows installer.
Thanks for the link. Going to give that a go too. Got a list of a few things to try tomorrow now, so, I'll update back tomorrow and let you know how it all goes.
I'm going to be dreadfully frustrated if this 3TB drive becomes a 2TB drive due to one accidental double click during the windows install process.
