  1. I just worry about getting myself in the same situation I'm currently in, where the Xonar can't quite drive the 558's so they don't really get any louder pass 30% volume.
  2. So it's a choice between quality with the Fulla 2 or loudness with the Xonar + amp combo. Any suggestions?
  3. In my current setup i got a Asus Sonar Essence STX and a Sennheiser HD 558, however I decided to finally get the famous HD 650 i've been dreaming about for so long. I tried to do my homework and read all about dacs and amps and what I would need to create a good setup for the that new 650, and at first i thought about getting a Schiit Fulla 2 for a nice and simple solution for a DAC and a Amp, however I read that this might not provide a quality solution for such a high-end headphone, so with a bit more reading i thought maybe i could keep using my Sonar Essence STX as a DAC (since I think it does a pretty good job and get no hissing) and just get a decent amp at around 100USD. Maybe the Schiit Magni 3? So anyone got any opinions about this setup? Will it work well or am I doing something stupid here? Thanks for the help.
  4. I love this controller, mine however came with a broken cable, Razer was quick to replace it for me. The only down side IMO is that if you decide to remove those buttons in the back, the rubber plugs won't actually stay on all that well, falling from time to time (at least once a day).
  5. My favorite thing about this notebook is that it has been on top of a mountain
  6. My favorite thing about the G3 is that backspace once undoes auto-correct
  7. Hello everyone, I've been looking to upgrade from my g930 and although i will miss the wireless capabilities of my headset i think it's time to see what all the fuss is about when it comes to audiophile headphones. After some research i decided to go for the Sennheiser HD 595, but i'm still open for suggestions , especially closed headphones, my PC might be a bit too loud for an open headphone. Anyway on to my questions, what kind of performance difference can i expect to see from my current headset to these if i still use the on-board sound from my Motherboard (Asus Rampage IV Formula) ? Also will it be able to drive the HD 595 ? I've heard this mobo has a pretty good on-board sound but how does it fair against an actual sound card ? entry level and above. I just don't want to get the new headphone and hear too little difference compared to my current headset, Maybe i should wait until i can buy a sound card too ? Thanks
  8. Hi, i recently started using RAID in my system and now my motherboard is taking at least twice as long to post, since this is the first time i ever use RAID i'm unsure if that is common, could i do anything to reduce the post time ? The post is actually long, used to take around 10-20 secs for the post part before and now it takes about 1 min just for post. My Motherboard is a Asus Rampage IV Formula with BIOS ver. 4004. Thank you for your help.
  9. I think i have made my final decision. Since i really enjoy the programmable keys i kinda disregarded the M65 and i also read that Logitech's software is much better than Corsair's software since it's so mature plus the G700s has a wireless and wired mode so i would be able to choose wired mode in case wireless mode presents any lag and other features like what the scroll wheel has in the G700s is just awesome. Plus a wireless mice will be good to use with my laptop. On the keyboard side of things i may go with the K95, it has a few extra features compared to the G710+ and when it comes to their main difference i can't really make a decision since i won't be able to test the difference between Red switches and Brown switches so i might just as well go for the Red switch and hope i like it, and coming from a membrane keyboard i guess anything would be better.
  10. Seems like a cool deal but i don't live in the US :( I had checked the M65 beforehand and i'm not sure how i feel about it, seems very different, the M95 looks cool as well. At this point i have 3 mices to choose from. The Logitech G700s, Corsair M65 and M95. Also still between 2 Keyboards, The Logitech G710+ and Corsair K95, guess i might wait for a few reviews of the K95 to come out. Thanks everyone for the replies so far :) indeed this is a great community.
  11. The Logitech G710+ isn't exactly pretty but looks don't bother me, At this point i'm between the K95 or the G710+, the K95 does have more Macro keys and a better look overall IMO but it uses Red switches while the G710+ uses Brown switches, but again i have no experience with mechanical keyboards so i don't know if i would prefer the Red Switch or the Brown Switch. From what i read the Brown Switch is quieter but noise also doesn't bother me since i use a Logitech G930 so i can't really hear most noises around me. Unfortunately i had to rule out any Ducky keyboards since in the country i live in i can't find them anywhere :( On the mice side i have ruled out the Razer Mamba but haven't really found much else to choose from, Don't really like the Deathadder as suggested by ptz but i did like the G700s but since what made me rule out the Razer Mamba is the issues presented by the wireless feature i don't know if the G700s is any better in the regard.
  12. Yeah that's the main reason why i was considering the K95. Could you suggest a keyboard with Macro Keys and Brown switches ? I'm starting to consider brown switches :P The CM Trigger has a few Macro keys but not all that many like the K95, the more the better.
