G9x001 reacted to JefferyD90 in Is this RAM compatible with Z170?
Well that list is ALL of the approved sticks of RAM. Anything not on that list, you cant guarantee will work. And if it does work, you don't know what kinds of problems it might, or might not have.

G9x001 reacted to ramm in What colour
That looks more like blue and red instead of red.
But it looks awesome. This proves to never go for one color. Multiple colors always look way nicer.
nice job
Also I love how you used the 24pin for both your gpu's, really a genius idea if you run more than 1 card

G9x001 reacted to Squirrel724 in Fall out 4 FPS cap.
It does have an FPS cap, and with good reason. It is built on the same engine as Skyrim and here is what happens when you uncap skyrim:

G9x001 got a reaction from airdeano in MSI X99a gaming pro carbon motherboard and Hyperx ram
Just a heads up the motherboard died last night. Will not post. It has just been sent to MSI for RMA. Not happy with it at all. And I've just purchased a Asus ROG Strix motherboard to get me going again. I will keep you up to date with the out come of the problem. After doing some research it seems that I'm not the only person that has had problems with this board.

G9x001 reacted to airdeano in MSI X99a gaming pro carbon motherboard and Hyperx ram
msi has been having a UEFI issue on memory configs from what TTL had described on the x99 titanium review (8:52). seems they'd bundled the board with a vengeance 3200 kit, only to find that is the only 3200 kit that would function at that speed.

That sucks to hear, but at least you have another board to get your system back up.

G9x001 reacted to Sintezza in MSI X99a gaming pro carbon motherboard and Hyperx ram
This unfortunatly doesnt suprise me at all.
Msi cheaps out too much on their motherboards fatal components like vrm implementations.
But they also ask top dollar for it.
I personaly dont like Msi X99 boards atall.
Hopefully you will have better luck with the Asus X99 ROG Strix.
Well atleast you get an 8 "true" phase fully digital vrm implementation from IR.
Combined with IR3535M powerstages which are rated upto 60A, combined with 60A inductors, and 10K caps so that should be plenty decent for your 6900K.

G9x001 reacted to Remesy in Fall out 4 FPS cap.
Yes, there is a fps cap on Fallout 4. Its physics engines is tied to the fps. There is ways to disable the fps cap in Fallout 4, but beware the game will run faster depending on how high your fps is.

G9x001 reacted to Jay917536 in Windows 10 remove microsoft account
Yeah, Just go to setting tab. Then accounts. Be logged in to the desired account. And you should have the option to remove. If your giving it away I would just recommend wiping the pc. This can be done if you load pc settings. Updates recovery and select reset pc.

I will be changing the colour of the build in the next few weeks to red to better match the motherboard.
-
G9x001 reacted to 19_blackie_73 in What colour
well... can you cover these single red leds? ATM it looks quite weird with this icy blue and the three red spots. I'd try sth orangy
-
G9x001 reacted to 19_blackie_73 in What colour
i can unsterstand. is it rgb? then maybe look for a colour that matches best. as far as i can tell everything that's in there is black so it will work.
You could take a post it and make it black with an edding and stick it over the leds. (cut it to size)
-
G9x001 got a reaction from 19_blackie_73 in What colour
It is an RGB board. Thats a good idea with the post it over the LED's.

you just wasted your money on the carbon, RVE shits on it mate.

G9x001 reacted to SteveGrabowski0 in I just purchaed a Intel 6900k
I really hope this isn't a gaming build. You could have had a better gaming system with an i7-6700k, a Z170 board, and an 850 EVO for a third of the price. Then instead of holding onto it for five years build a new system in 2.5 years to eclipse the 6700k / Z170 combo with a bigger SSD for another third of the price.

G9x001 reacted to aisle9 in I just purchaed a Intel 6900k
That depends. What are you doing with the PC? If the answer is "gaming", then yes, you are stupid. If it's for CS:GO, then please just take the rest of your money and send it to me. I'll PM you my Paypal information.

I was going to make a ram disk for BF4 and then use it for BF1 when it is released. MSI have very simple to use ram disk software. I have never used a ram disk before but I hope it works. It does look pretty easy on the MSI tutorial video.
