  1. Use the charms bar to go to the "change PC settings" app and go under network and then select your LAN and switch off find devices and content. If that does not work you can try scanning for malware and viruses. If that doers not work you can always try disabling the services through windows associated with file and printer sharing which are the following, browser, server, lmhosts, lanmanworkstation. As a last resort you can do a refresh through windows 8.1 recovery that would be sure to fix the issue, but remember that refreshes remove programs but not user files so be aware of that.
  2. Okay soi skip the first step and go straight to control panel and do those steps
  3. what are you installing from a CD, Bootable Flash drive?
  4. go to change PC settings, Network, connections, manage connections from here have the PC forget all networks. reconnect to your desired network, then go in to control panel and go to network and sharing center from there on the far left side at the top is the option for "change advanced sharing settings" second option down is file and printer sharing change it to off and save changes.
  5. You want to manually set the speed in the BIOS to the rated speed on the stick. This will make it stable again (hopefully). The reason is most motherboards will auto set ram speeds to the lowest the boards supports not the actual speed. so you would want to set it to 2400Mhz. I do suggest that you take your cmos battery out of your PC and let it sit for a few minutes so that both BIOSes can go back to their defaults and then set the RAM speed and other settings and save, Hope this helps!
  6. Have you tried making your computer forget all saved networks and then reconnecting to the desired network and setting it to no file and printer sharing through control panel?
  7. 1. This is a data recovery program I have had some luck with. It works best when the files were accidentally deleted and the drive is still in good health! https://www.piriform.com/recuva/download(its by the same people who make ccleaner if that helps?) 2. what phone do you have? You can probably connect you phone to a computer and do a back up that way and then preform a factory reset on your phone to reset the software and settings and wipe all data and see if that helps.
  8. Some Where is the BIOS usually under integrated peripherals you can find the option to make your motherboard use either Integrated GPU or dedicated GPU. also if you can maybe test you card in a different system or a different card in your system?
  9. have you tried going in to the BIOS and setting back to defaults?
  10. Have you tried re-seating the RAM and Video card. This can help a lot of times if they are lose or being temperamental. Also try running SFC in safe mode through CMD. If you are on Windows 8 you can do a refresh with out losing your data.
  11. I have seen this happen before when you already have had an OS installed on the disk. Try booting in to recovery mode through your installation media, use CMD and use this command, "diskpart" after that goes through use the commands in this order 1. "list disk", 2. "select disk 0", 3. "clean", 4. "exit" 5. "shutdown /s". This will take your disk and clean all of it partitions, data, format and all. it will be just like the day you got it.
  12. Use safe mode to try and delete everything related to the file and even do registry edits to get rid of it. Then run the scan again and reboot. see if that will fix it.
  13. No problem! and I also have the latest driver 347.25
  14. Here is a screen shot of the settings that worked best for me!
