I really think it is mining farms driving the prices up so much more, a few weeks after launch 3080s were going for around 1k/1.2k USD on the local used market, crazy for a 700$ MSRP product, now they are 2k+ on ebay and ghosts on the local market. Mining farms have a ton of cash to throw around so they keep buying them up, so prices continue to rise. I am really starting to dislike this "convert electricity into money" garbage. I understand that it totally makes sense to mine right now, but my electric is expensive enough, and I cannot get a 30XX anything to mine on.

So what are is his plans for these GPUs? I count 10 boxes, and the quantity number is super blurry, it could be 6 or 8, so 60 or 80 GPUs!
What do you all think? Giveaway, sell them on lttstore.com? Or something else.

I do not mind if people mine on the GPU at all, as long as they do not get it and immediately resell it for 2k+ on ebay. I really hate scalpers.

Well, at the very least form members may be less likely to resell them, generally more respectful, and have been trying to help the community. All signs of good people who would keep the 3080.

Could be very simple ....  have anyone interested grab a phone and make a short recording in front of their pc and show the hardware info ,....
if restricted to ltt forum users ... they could restrict to accounts older than 3-6 months, and compare the specs in the video with specs filled in the profile (which could be retrieved from backups if needed, so people won't edit their current profile)

Though it's still iffy ... we may find people selling their forum accounts or applying just to sell card on ebay.

You're sure you DDU'd the drivers correctly?
Just to be sure, run DDU for an NVIDIA GPU with the shutdown option enabled, then swap in the 3090 and see if it works.

Yea that does not sound too great, you can unplug the PSU from the PC, (just pull it out of the system, remove 24 pin, CPU power, sata, all of it) Once the PSU is just sitting on a table, you can use a paper clip or spare piece of wire to test the PSU (Guide below). If it pops or anything, its dead, and will need to be RMAed. Without the paperclip, the PSU will just not turn on, but hopefully the guide makes some sense.

I feel like that is probably just grease from manufacturing imo, the burnt smell is more concerning. I really do not think that the GPU is what caused the problem, I think it is the PSU. The other pictures you posted show the heat pipes is great condition with no cracks. I would just try it with the other good PSU.
also what ever you do, DO NOT OPEN UP A PSU, the insides can be dangerous. The capacitors in a PSU can even when unplugged, hold significant charge.
Try the other PSU, and RMA the burnt one, you need to figure out if everything else in the PC still works to tell Corsair support.

A faulty PSU can kill the entire PC, yes. That is why you were recommended to unplug and remove everything except some bare bones minimum things.

Ok if the power went out in your building then it could have been a power surge, a cracked heat pipe probably wont kill the gpu, just run hotter. I am starting to think that heat pipe is not the problem. Could ask your neighbors if they are having problems with their electronics. With a power surge with no surge protector it may have just killed the PSU, which can cascade into a multitude of dead hardware.
Has the PC turned on since the power went out? Or non responsive since?

That to me looks like a cracked heat pipe, pull the GPU out and see if you can take more pictures in better light.

    2 Tips:
    - Your AIO is really a bit small for that cpu
    - keep on checking bios update. As soon as there is a non Beta version with AMD AM4 AGESA V2 PI 1.2.0.0 you should update --> better cpu management and PBO 2 . (can then be activated in bios. No clue bout ryzen master, I don't like it, I don't use it)

I mean, there's no way Nvidia wasn't going to make those cards (especially after the AMD 6000 series announcement) and there have already been multiple other leaks so its pretty much confirmed at this point.

IAMABOSS got a reaction from Stahlmann in So I’m new to building pc is this a good AIO mount ?
Your AIO placement is absolutely fine, the video from GamersNexus is only to showcase the errors in placing the radiator below the pump, making the pump the highest point in the loop, which is bad. The highest point in the loop is where gravity will force all air in the system to, as water is heaver. Your Pump block combo is below the radiator, and is being feed by gravity, which is the way AIO's should be installed. The water weight from the radiator through the tubes easily has enough head pressure from gravity to go back up from the bottom of the tubes (right above the GPU) into the pump.
TLDR: It's fine, the radiator is above the pump, and the pump is being feed by gravity.

At that price I don't think that anyone would miss it. The rtx 2080 ti alone is 600+ until the 3070 comes out and the 1050 ti easy 90$ or if you want to sell it quickly you 75$. The 1050 ti can be used for an HTPC and lite gaming

Yeah the fans that came with the EVGA CLC have a pretty strange directional dish shape. They look like they're designed for a push config but I flipped them to pull to get better steady airflow inside the case. I'll test out some different fans and configs before I go all in and replace the GPU cooler.

The 660 to me is a bit over priced. The 58x is pretty appropriately priced IMHO as competitors have similar performing headphones at similar price points. And the 660,650, and 600 are just overpriced
