I hate to break it to you, but there is nothing available. The 3070 is an amazing value, but the current world situation has created sever demand, then crypto miners are also buying up all the GPUs making prices go up more. All you can do is wait, and be glad your 2070 still works. It may be a few months, could be the end of the year GPUS are in stock again at MSRP.

I really think it is mining farms driving the prices up so much more, a few weeks after launch 3080s were going for around 1k/1.2k USD on the local used market, crazy for a 700$ MSRP product, now they are 2k+ on ebay and ghosts on the local market. Mining farms have a ton of cash to throw around so they keep buying them up, so prices continue to rise. I am really starting to dislike this "convert electricity into money" garbage. I understand that it totally makes sense to mine right now, but my electric is expensive enough, and I cannot get a 30XX anything to mine on.

Stuff like this is what I would say do, I mean it's only 80 GPUs, they could just have an ltt employee review all the purchases.

I do not mind if people mine on the GPU at all, as long as they do not get it and immediately resell it for 2k+ on ebay. I really hate scalpers.

Well, at the very least form members may be less likely to resell them, generally more respectful, and have been trying to help the community. All signs of good people who would keep the 3080.

They could use the forum to verify accounts somehow, do it by account age or something.

The tweet is embedded so everyone can read it, never know how they do it, I hope they have some kind of verification to buy them. I have been trying to get one for 5 months at this point.

So a few hours ago, LTT twitter posted this image, So what are is his plans for these GPUs? I count 10 boxes, and the quantity number is super blurry, it could be 6 or 8, so 60 or 80 GPUs! What do you all think? Giveaway, sell them on lttstore.com? Or something else.

I figured that Windows was being super buggy, something in your old install really did not like the 3090, I am glad it is working now! On your HDR question, Windows 10 has a super bad implementation of HDR, it will likely get patched out with driver updates over time. I am curious on what display your running as well as the resolution and refresh rate, could be something with the monitor/tv.

It may sound extreme, but it has always worked for me, I like to format and reinstall windows every year or so, it just makes the PC so much faster feeling. I would continue to try other versions of the drivers, and maybe a different version of DDU, but it is good to have a backup plan.

Its highly unlikely the IGPU is passing through, I would like you to try, if at all possible, a different boot SSD with a fresh install of Windows, if that is not an option, I would recommend using the IGPU to save all important stuff on the C drive and giving it a format, then re installing windows. I know these recommendations seem extreme, but they very well could have you a ton of time fixing your current install. It really does not sound like a dead 3090, especially as you have had the issue happen on two different 3090s, it really just sounds like windows being a buggy mess that it is.

Ok so your saying the 3090 gives a display output to the monitor, correct? I feel like this is a problem with your install of Windows if the GPU is displaying something. Does the PC work enough to get to the BIOS with the 3090? Also just realized this is your first post! Welcome to the forums!

Completely random, it will even do it in the BIOS We think it is the MOBO and contacted ASUS, they want to RMA it.

So, here are the new things we have run into since making the first post tried a different GPU, it still happens on a known rock solid GTX 1070 Tried a entirely different SSD with a different, brand new instal of windows. Re-seated the GPU, problem persists The problem has also escalated, it is black screening when opening/installing certain applications, or sometimes just turns of the PC and restarts, no BSOD, crash error, just off, and video returns with windows 10 loading logo. So late last year, me and my brother build his new PC with the new parts we had been acquiring over a few months. It's a pretty balling rig and should have no issues. AMD Ryzen 5900x Asus ROG Hero x570 Crosshair VIII 32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3600 DDR4 EVGA RTX 2080ti FTW3 (This was a friends used card cause we never could get a 3080 despite trying over 100 times, never gave him any issues and is in mint condition, never OCed) Samsung 980 Pro 1TB Noctua NHD15 Chromex Black Corsair 4000D airflow EVGA G3 1000W Samsung Odyssey G7 Dell 27 So, this build originally was completed with a 5800x and my personal old 5700XT Nitro+ I let him borrow until he got a GPU when I found a used 2080ti for 600$ (different GPU entirely). It worked perfectly in this configuration for months. The drive has been formatted and with a brand new instal of Windows 10 Pro only a few days ago was done, latest BIOS, forced PCIE 3.0, newest Nvidia drivers, old Nvidia Drivers, we have tried everything. This is what is going on, the PC will randomly have straight black screens for about 3 to 10 seconds on BOTH monitors at random times, sometimes, different display port cables, ports on GPU, when this happens, the GPU may spike to 100% usage for no reason, then go black, alternatively it may be spiking restoring video after the black screen. It most always comes back up eventually though. The other issue he is having is when playing Minecraft, is that the CPU is running at 100%, and the GPU at 10 to 20%, and the game runs and looks like garbage. This actually makes me think that the game is being rendered by the CPU somehow. I have no idea how this could happen, but that is what it sounds like to me. While typing this up I have been talking to him and his PC crashed while we were talking, screens go black, then came back on with Windows restarting. I have no idea what is going on, please help. Well Congrats, the other PSU did not kill anything! Get it RMAed and you will be set! Try to be gentle on the 450 watt, it is a bit small for your system, not much breathing room.

Well try it first with no CPU or RAM and the old PSU. Just see if lights and fans turn on.

Does the MOBO look burnt or smell burnt, if not, it may be fine. Look it over really good, maybe try it with no CPU or RAM, but I am not sure if that even will work, some MOBOs can be powered on with no CPU for BIOS flashing, it might could help with your testing.

Oh just checked back in on this thread, had to write a paper for uni, yea your old PSU is dead dead, real dead. Keep that blown off piece of mosfet for corsair support, tell them you PSU exploded and threw chunks of stuff into your pc. I would try to find a friend with a working system and individually test your parts. (GPU, CPU, RAM) then very thoroughly (like with a magnifying glass) go over your MOBO, front and back, if everything on it looks fine, try it with your cx450. The others in this thread seem to be far more knowledgeable about VRM components and stuff, I will will stick with those recommendations. You may want to consider ordering a new MOBO just to be safe, B450 stuff is not to expensive and will work just fine in your system to get you up and running faster. You should be able to limp along with the cx450 till your RMA comes through from Corsair. Your GPU heatpipes are fine, I would go over the back of the card and maybe front with the cooler removed if your confident enough, there are many tutorials on dissembling a gpu, just be certain you know what your doing, if not, no big deal just go over the back and then test it in a system. I see you have the backplate removed so give it a look over.

This may interest you if you are curious about heat pipes, even if one is cracked, they do not contain enough liquid to hurt anything. If something else in the system is dead, then the working PSU should just trip overcurrent protection. Should be fine, get it a go.

Nah the GPU heat pipes look fine, the first pic must have just been light reflection. They are pressed when they are made and they may turn out any number of shapes. Try the different PSU with the bare minimum PC parts and see if you can get to the bios. I really do not think an rx 580 could possibly crack a heat pipe, they simply do not produce enough heat. Unless you were running you system in an oven it should be fine.

I feel like that is probably just grease from manufacturing imo, the burnt smell is more concerning. I really do not think that the GPU is what caused the problem, I think it is the PSU. The other pictures you posted show the heat pipes is great condition with no cracks. I would just try it with the other good PSU. also what ever you do, DO NOT OPEN UP A PSU, the insides can be dangerous. The capacitors in a PSU can even when unplugged, hold significant charge. Try the other PSU, and RMA the burnt one, you need to figure out if everything else in the PC still works to tell Corsair support.
