  1. Another vote for the Asus RT-N66U as well. It's been a great router for me and I've never had a problem with it dealing with my 50down/10up connection.
  2. So do you have a standard RJ45 ethernet connection to your wall? Was there any setup required when you connected straight to your computer? If not, you can buy a regular wireless router. My personal recommendation is the Asus RT-N66U or newer. They're coming down in price (here in the UK at least), and have good range and speed on them.
  3. Best thing has to be the display. It may be overkill, but who doesn't like overkill?
  4. I've used both dream-hosting.co.uk and rackburst.net. Definitely recommend both of them. Dream-hosting is your typical hosting package, whereas rackburst offer cheap VPSs if you want to setup the entire thing yourself. If you want to go down the VPS route, check out lowendbox.com first. Best place to check for any offers.
  5. In regards to the RSA weaknesses, I'd probably look into all of them, then choose the best/most promising one to do in the time frame I have. I'll look into those suggestions and see. They sound pretty good. For the android stuff, I don't think I'd be able to incorporate it enough to be part of the same project, which is a shame. Currently the only thing I could think to do is using android to benchmark the time taken for factorisation to give an idea of how plausible it is for lower levels of rsa to be broken. In all honesty, I think this is a bit far fetched and would have to be a very low level rsa in order for it to work.
  6. I'm just starting my final year at uni so I have to do a project/dissertation. Broadly speaking, I'm going to base it on cryptography, but I don't really know where to specify. So I'm branching out to you guys for a few ideas. I'm thinking about looking at RSA weaknesses (256/512, no higher) but nothing really concrete. If possible I also want to maybe linking it in with android in some way and maybe integrating cydia substrate as well. My logic here is the fact that I'm more profficient in Java than Obj-C at this stage so I'd rather stick with Android rather than iOS for now. Any suggestions/ideas would be much appreciated. I'm fairly open to suggestions but obviously I'll tailor it to my own skills.
  7. Well it now seems to be popping up on most major online stores. Thanks for your help guys, reckon I'll go for that when I get the next paycheque in!
  8. Managed to find one in the UK http://www.cclonline.com/product/110722/23EA63V/Monitors/LG-EA63V-23EA63V-23-inch-IPS-LED-Monitor/MON1491/ I'd just like to see some real life photos to get an idea of what they're like.
  9. It is everything I wanted, but I only have one concern. LG aren't exactly the best at explaining how thick their bezels are though. It'd be handy to be able to see it in a real life scenario and after a quick google, I didn't find much.
  10. Sorry for going quiet on this. I eventually chose the Dell U2713HM and used it for a bit. It's a very nice monitor don't get me wrong, but I missed my old multi-monitor set up, so I'm moving back to 1080p screens in surround. For those tempted with the Dell, well worth the money if you're in the market for a relatively cheap high quality 1440p screen.
  11. I'm looking for a good thin bezelled monitor, about 23"/24" to use in a triple surround situation. I know Linus recommended the Acer H236HL bid (which is available in the UK under a slightly different name), but it isn't VESA mountable, which would be handy. I've found the HP 23xi, which is almost exactly what I'm looking for, save the VESA mount. Its fairly similar to the Acer, but it has what looks like a sturdier stand. Basically: 23"/24" Thin bezel VESA compatible IPS DVI 1080p Any recommendations?
  12. I placed three separate orders and they all got cancelled. Shame they didn't honour it in the same way that razer did with their recent glitch.
  13. Personally I went through Pascal and Delphi, not bad languages to learn with, but I'd start with a more widely used language. I'm currently doing a Comp Sci degree and the route they've chosen to take us through is Java > C++ > Python. With HTML (I know it's a syntax not a language) and MATLAB alongside. It's working for me and I'm finding Obj-C pretty easy to pick up.
  14. It's been a while since I dabbled with PHP, but on the windows side I used dreamweaver for a while, but ultimately used a combination of notepad++ and filezilla just for ease of use and simplicity. Now however, I'm mostly using OS X, so Coda gets my vote, although I still do have notepad++ installed on my mac just in case.
