thank you guys very much.. i think we have a clear winner and ive decided to upgrade to the 980 amp edition

so i have a zotac gtx 780 oc but it recently shit the bed and caused my pc to keep blue screening. i contacted zotac and they are willing to replace it for the same one. i asked if i could upgrade to the 900 series and the gentleman accepted . i dont know if the 980 can be over clocked but the 780 can. the most stress my pc has gone through besides playing dota 2 or youtube were the memtest and mark3d test i had to do in order to find the problem. these are the stock specs. 980 specs Chipset Chipset Manufacturer NVIDIA GPU GeForce GTX 970 Core clock 1050 MHz (base) 1178 MHz (boost) Cores 1,664 Shader Clock N/A Memory Memory Clock 7010 MHz Memory Size 4GB Memory Interface 256-bit Memory Type GDDR5 780 specs Chipset Chipset Manufacturer NVIDIA GPU GeForce GTX 780 Core clock 941 MHz (base) 993 (boost) Cores 2,304 Shader Clock N/A Memory Memory Clock 6008 MHz Memory Size 3GB Memory Interface 384-bit Memory Type GDDR5 besides the obvious speed difference , i dont understand why they downgraded the Bit rate 780 with 384 vs 980 -with 256.. can the 980 be OC ? any suggestions.. im shipping it off today

its not over clocked.. the hardest work this computer has gone through besides DOTA 2.. was all the testing i did in pass 3 days

ok so ive exhausted all options i can think of.. im 99.9% its my GPU, which is a zotac gtx 780 oc 3gb. ive ran a fresh install of the gpu drivers, fresh install of windows i ran memtest for 11 hours, windows diagnostics ,3dmark, etc. all with out a single error. ive tried several malware tests and different cleaners. even those pass with flying colours. ive tested my mother board slots and each individual ram themselves ( i have 4). it randomly blue screens regardless of heavy or light tasks. my bios boot screen sometime freezes and wont allow me to do anything unless i restart the computer several times. this system is brand new and actually gets used about 2 times a week and i might play dota 2 and youtube thats about it, because im busy working. any other ideas?? ive searched the internet and its a common problem that no one has the answer to.. i play metro last light maxed out settings and listening to youtube and download stuff at same time and my pc doesnt change or have any problems at all.. now im curious to whats it limits hahahah.. i got crysis 2 not 3rd yet

which 3dmark would you recommend first ?

what a good site or program to find a good rating on my computer system ?? i know over clocking would make it better but as of right now im not even using my computer to its full extent.. id void the warranty for no reason as of now.. pc is only a month old

as annoying as it is not to have all 7.9 i find windows 8.1 more annoying .. just a personal preference is all..
