  1. A bit late, I settled on Corsair ML120 Pros.
  2. Sadly can't get noctua parts locally and don't feel like shipping if i can get away with it. I can try to keep looking but Noctua parts aren't in high demand.
  3. I'm buying a PC-O7S today and I have 3x 120mm fan locations on the top, I do not plan to occupy the rear 140mm fan slot. I intend to put a 360mm radiator in the top of the case and use it for intake so am picking a fan to go nicely with my EKWB PE360 (40ml thick). I'm currently deciding between: Corsair ML120 (Pro/ProLED/Regular), Corsair SP120 (New ones), Corsair HD120 (not too fond of the disco though) and EKWB Vardar 120mm but am open other suggestions.
  4. I have an Ultrawide and play CSGO casually. You do not get any more pixels or FOV, it will give you the option to stretch the image to fit or to run it in 16:9 with black bars. I've never noticed my response time having any sort of issues (5ms) and don't care too much for G-Sync yet.
  5. Would the curve in the monitor help at all?
  6. So I'm planning a new setup for my case & monitor and plan to have my case on my desk next to my monitor. My question is whether my case, the PC-O7SX with a tinted tempered glass side panel will reflect my monitor's image onto the surface like my Corsair 750D's window did. I will be lighting the tempered glass from the inside with LED Strips but don't want a crazy amount of reflection of my screen on the case. Any ideas or help before I decide to move my case under my desk? Thanks
  7. This concerns me as someone with ~$2000 invested in Steam/Origin/uPlay accounts. While I doubt I'm getting a sanction against my country, I also foresee the possibility of one of these services "shutting down" or any incident where they take away games / software.
  8. Hi All, I had an incident where my Razer Blade's screen cracked and disabled the touch screen at the same time. The device was bought in Augusut 2016 and it's a paid repair as it isn't covered under warranty, as I expected. Anyway, I was just given a quotation for the following: Replacement QHD Screen, $470 Labour Cost, $120 Shipping, Free Does this seem justifiable? When I've broken screens on my Macbook I only had to pay about $200 so hard to see why I need to pay so much for a replacement. Should I go ahead with the Razer replacement or get it repaired by a third party? There are no dead pixels or anything wrong with the housing, only the glass and touch layer are damaged. Thanks.
  9. I already own a 1070 and tbh I can't be bothered to sell it and buy a 1080/Ti. I could easily afford one but I don't feel I really need it or could benefit from the performance increase.
  10. That is true. I use my i7-powered laptops most of the time for graphic design as they're always handy but would love to move it back to my desktop. I've gone through several computer iterations and always stopped with AIOs but wanted something more extreme for once
  11. I'm 19, own a car and a yacht and still have disposable income while not needing to pay any income tax for the next 2 years. I'll still be saving several thousand dollars with the purchases above.
  12. Feeling an upgrade itch and got a decent promotion and higher salary than I need to comfortably live on. Current setup is as follows: CPU: i3-6300 (Placeholder until the Kabylake i7 comes around) GPU: GTX1070 Founders Edition (Spare GTX Titan X Maxwell card lying around) Mobo: Asus Sabertooth Z170S Ram: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (4x4gb) PSU: Corsair RM850i Storage: Corsair Force LS 128GB, WD 1TB, WD 3TB Cables: Cablemod Custom Cables Case: Fractal Design Define S Screen: LG 29in Ultrawide 1080p monitor Sound: Creative Audio Surround speakers, AudioTechnica ATH-M50x Peripherals: Corsair K70RGB, Corsair M65RGB, Corsair MM200Extended Laptops: Surface Pro 3, Razer Blade Stealth, Macbook Retina 12'' Phone: OnePlus 3 Wearable: Moto 360 Gen2 My upgrade plans are as follows: $330 - Core i7-7700k (when released) $750 - Custom EKWB Watercooling Loop (PETG) $300 - Lian-Li PCO7S or Caselabs BH7 $120 - 2x 240GB OCZ Trion SSDs (Raid) $700 - Samsung S34E790C 34in Ultrawide Curved WQHD Monitor $250 - Audioengine A2+ Speakers This comes up to just shy of $2500 USD. I have around another $500 USD to spare and could either go for SLI 1070s or a HTC Vive or a lot of steam games. I am a Graphic & Web Designer by profession and am 19 years old. The main usages for my systems are Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, DreamWeaver, Youtube, Netflix and Steam Games. Country is Hong Kong (US's Amazon.com works for 95% of purchasing) so no VAT/Sales Tax added to purchases. Yes, I am "wasting" a lot on my system, but it's something I've been working on since I was 14 years old and started out with LTT and feel that after several iterations between Ivy Bridge to now, It's a good time to set myself off perfectly. If you think you can better spend the money than I can, please step up

You need to use your Crew emblem in most circumstances or one of 3-4 default emblems. -
  14. @EK Luc @EK_Derick This is for you. I suggest getting in touch with the OP
  15. You could do something like Linus's personal build where he has the computer in a different room. Alternatively, get a case optimised for silence and populate all the fan slots as intakes which should stop dust getting through the cracks. I'd also recommend a case with a filter and then adding an additional filter if it's such a worry.
  16. Ive been temp banned a few times but haven't been banned in recent months - but I have no mods anymore.
  17. I already own a 1070 as it is and before that owned both a GTX980 and a Titan X (maxwell). I could get 1080s / 1080tis, but there isn't much of a point with an already highend card. I know the Define S is a solid watercooling case, but I'm looking for something new and fun
  18. I currently have a Fractal Design Define S and am looking to take my ATX system from being in the mid-tower to a smaller case and going for a custom waterloop (PETG/GLASS) and am settling on the Caselabs BH7 in either White or Gunmetal. My worries are with the amount of watercooling options I can get away with in the system. I plan to put the thickest 240mm radiator I can on the top but would like to put either fans or a radiator in the front too. I read that this only works with slim fans - but would it be okay to forgo the radiator in the front and put regular fans only? The aim is to get 2x GTX1070s and a CPU (i7-7700k when released) in the loop and keep decent temperatures in a small case. This case seems to be almost non-existent in reviews. Would I be able to get away with this build? Money isn't an issue in terms of case/hardware. Thanks
  19. Hong Kong - No Rules / Licences / Restrictions except for private property which is the discretion of the property owner. DJI is based here so it makes for a pretty good place for droning.
  20. I only remember to do it because my screen is higher than 1080p, so it scales everything absurdly until I install the latest drivers. Found it odd that even changing WITHIN a generation required new drivers.
  21. Just remember to remove previous drivers. Even switching from Nvidia 900 to Nvidia 900 to Nvidia 1000 cards in my personal rig I had to do a complete driver removal. If your screen is something other than 1920x1080p, expect weird af scaling until you have your drivers installed properly. I'd just install GeForce Experience asap and then automagically install the 1070 drivers when you put the card in.
  22. Asus has had monoblocks and full blocks from EK and Bitspower for quite a while. Good to see it bundled though. Nothing beats the Z170 Sabertooth S mono though.
  23. please please please please help me here, I know it's a stretch but please help me. So, my cunt of a brother stole my old phone (Oneplus One, 64GB, Android Marshmellow based on CyanogenMod) which I had kept as a backup phone and WHICH HAD OVER A YEAR OF VERY SENSITIVE, IMPORTANT MESSAGES, PHOTOS, ETC on it and factory wiped the thing - thinking he'd get to inherit the phone. Now I know factory wipes may be forever but please can someone help me here I powered on the phone to a "Welcome to Cyanogen" page and I really would like anyone to tell me how to recover as much data/photos as I can off my device. I have so many memories that would be forgotten if I can't get my old data back, all my texts and photos of past relationships, with now deceased family members, I really need to get the data back. I'll even pay if it works. From my understanding, the data is still on the phone, but dedicated as "free storage" ? Is there anyway to dump all the storage and files before they're overriden or is Android smarter than that? Please help me ;(
  24. That's a different kind of magnus.
