Ive bounced from Android to WindowsPhone to Android; never owned an iPhone/iPad/iOS device (owned 3 Macs) frankly: Buy whatever you want. Want to send your messages with an iPhone? go ahead! Android Phone? go ahead! Lumia device? I dont care! Heck use carrier pigeons for all I care.

My school (luckily) never blocked steam properly. I found that if you try login to steam or start a download at school it would not work. but if you start the download and login at home and then take it to school without properly pausing / closing the download, it'd keep downloading at my school's internet speed -- OVER WIFI at about 60mbps. Needless to say almost my whole steam library is thanks to my school.

Probably got atleast double the CPU Cores I'll ever have.

So here's my issue. About a week into owning the macbook, my delete key started going a bit funky and needed to be very FORCEFULLY pressed to register- now about 2 weeks on, there are several keys on my keyboard that just refuse to activate under a normal stroke and feel as if they've been superglued down. I tried (to no avail) to reset my delete key but after removing the key cap remembered the butterfly mechanism and have been unable to put the key back on my keyboard. Apparently this is a pretty known issue- I dont want to give my macbook to Apple for a few weeks to let them fix it if I can do it myself - anyone know how to properly fit a key back on a butterfly switch?

I have a pair of Beats Solo 2s but use my ATH M50xs for anything more serious than just listening to spotify off my phone.

wow your bad internet is about as good as my internet gets. My ISP is a load of crap considering we pay to get 25 down but they can barely offer more than 6mbps

Eh. I'm fairly sure there would be a bit of bottleneck with a GTX970 using a Q6700. But it'd work.

Since OSX 10.10 (Yosemite) and onwards are free upgrades and can't be purchased, hackintoshes are not illegal. There is a Hackintosh forum that has all the compatible parts. Luckily it's at the point where it's basically every intel CPU, every nvidia graphics card, and most motherboards. Let them buy a Mac Mini and you can then screw it in to the back of any monitor with a standard 100x100mm vesa mount at the back. Then it's basically an iMac but instead it's only a $500 Mac Mini and a $100~ Monitor.
