GAMESaROCKN's Achievements

  1. A Zotac ZBOX MAGNUS EN970 would be beneficial to my resource heavy studies and it would help me connect with my family and friends who game.
  2. The ban of doorknobs in Vancouver was likely due to form & character (aesthetics) and accessibility (e.g. disabled, seniors). Small changes of buildings and structures change the feel of the community. For example, Whistler would not have its craftsmen look and feel and Downtown Vancouver would not have be dome shaped and have its green glass building. The form and character of a community are important as they each community a unique feel and sense of place (belonging). In short, things such as the ban of doorknobs help build the character and belonging of a community. However, I do agree that the ban of doorknobs is a bit silly beyond the accessibility concern. Personally, I think that everyone should have the equal ability to express themselves in their community as an individual and citizen if it does not interfere with the public health, social need, economics, history, environment, the future, sustainability, or the public good. Any changes also need to reaches a consensus (or try too) and consider that community building ("development") is culturally relative. Source: urban geography student.
  3. To my knowledge, Windows Blue, a free package update is expected to release sometime "soon" that may resolve SOME of your issues with the later Windows OS.
  4. I prefer water or the occasional juice or milk over Coca-Cola or Pepsi. I would choose Pepsi over Coca-Cola though. Although, my favorite soft drink is root beer rather than a cola
  5. The "Antikythera mechanism" is what comes into mind for me being a Anthropology student. -Wikipedia link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antikythera_mechanism
  6. I prefer the look of the EVGA card. Otherwise I might go with a single Radeon HD 7970.
  7. I plan to use Intel SRT and I believe that a 60GB SSD is the largest possible capacity, so a larger one is not an option if I decide with SRT. The Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer's LEDs really are awesome, but I prefer the yellow stickers on the memory dims to match the colour scheme.
  8. Here is the .rtf file. PC Build.rtf PC Build.rtf
  9. Apologies for the sloppy components list. The table from Excel to Word to the forum did not go well. I will find somewhere in this forum topic to attach a copy of an .rtf file from Microsoft Word of the forum topic for those who wish for it to be easier to read. It has been fun to post this forum topic!
  10. I do not plan to build my own personal desktop PC for gaming and general use any time in the next few years due to student loans. Though as this is a friendly and relatively new forum, I just thought I would share my currently planned build to do my part to help build the community and received some feedback from those who wish to comment and give their opinions and advice. 11. For me what makes the perfect case is a good balance in design and build quality with cost, size and weight factors along with personal tastes such as style and a windowed side panel option. My favorite cases include the Fractal Design Arc Midi R2, Bitfenix Prodigy, NZXT Tempest 410 Elite and the Corsair Vengeance C70. My current favorite case is the Fractal Design Arc Midi R2.
  12. 17. I built a few of computers for one of the computer labs when I was in Grade 12 at secondary school. This was one of the few projects I had when I was a peer tutor and was just helping out the community in new and different ways. Another project involving servicing older notebooks in order for them to be suitable for use in the school district. Fun times! I still have yet to built a desktop computer for my personal use though (eg. gaming). I am currently using a netbook for university lectures and an entry-level gaming and multimedia notebook when at home. I will likely build my own gaming desktop computer sometime when I finish by BA in two years and have paid off all my student loans.
  13. A dark blue 1993 or 1995 (can not remember which) automatic Dodge Dynasty Luxury Edition model four door sedan. I just got my Class 5 BC Driver's Licence, very excited. No more N! My Mother inherited the vehicle when my Grandpa past away a few years ago. My twin brother and I share the car. We learned to drive in this car. Currently I drive it to work in the summer when not attending university while my brother does not use it much these days as he has a summer semester and uses public transportation. Here is a picture of a Dodge Dynasty:
