  1. Currently run a SLI GTX 680 - would like it to change to a single card and move to ITX from mATX. Thanks for the competition
  2. Its good somewhat good as it will stop you from purchasing another more than $500 Tbh for me, I haven't even been to those stores to try before I buy. I tend to actually read alot of reviews and purchase second hand (fellow head-fi seller). That's just me, I tend to rarely buy another brand new from store and purchase 2nd hand as it saves alot more money but has its risks. Personally I do watch LachlanlikesAThing and envy what he does great youtuber but sometimes posts some irrelevant things which I disagree with (eg: music recommendation).
  3. Hey mate, If you're looking to demo the HD800, try minidisc.com.au (Sydney) or Addictedtoaudio (Melbourne and Sydney). If you're in another state, cannot help you out with demos. I have previously used the HD800 and they're still magical with some $200 amp + dac combos if you're using quality mp3, flac files, from my experience its more about headphone > Quality of audio file > Source > Cable (I have tried some cables and don't notice a difference). -> Reply to original OP Hey Tumble, I found the LCD2 so uncomfortable due to the heaviness that it makes me feel nauseated after using the unit for more the 40 minutes or so. I have turned to using the Sony MDR Z7 as an alternative and love both the sound sig and comfort levels. I believe the HD800 shines really well with classical and acoustics however I find the sub-bass to be lacking and not sufficient enough for rock, EDM, trance and etc (reason why for selling them).

  5. Save yourself the money and get the non-touch version. I personally have the TOTL model and the touch is useful in very little situations. Also the glossy screen does is somewhat annoying in certain scenarios. Also scaling atm with windows 8.1 is crappy. Just be aware it does become a finger print magnetic if you have oily hands and its quite noticeable on the keyboard. Other than that, the unit is solid and has great standby time and is quite light.
  6. http://nobleaudio.com/en/shop/wireless/ Noble have a BTS system that allows 3.5mm headphones to be connected. Purchase an over-ear that you like and you have yourself quite a portable system. I plan on purchasing this to be setup with my CIEM on the go system (currently using my Note 3 as my source). I heard that there is alot of issues with the momentum wireless, and you could avoid this by getting the momentum 2.0 (at a much cheaper price) and get the Noble BTS system and it would do you quite well.
  7. I too have had the phone for roughly the same amount of time. Upgrading to Lollipop 5.0 has made it quite a better experience for me using the phone. Have you tried this? Also I have to agree with the camera, really a disappointment. I am now moving to the S6 as I snagged a pretty good deal.
  8. Thats a great and valid point... I've been using it for about a year now and haven't had an issue with them. Also audio wise, I use them on a daily basis for CSGO, hear perfectly. Sound quality wise, I come from pretty high end headphones with wide variety of high end headphones. So please elaborate on why these are the worse? Have you had experience with these?
  9. http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=116_4&products_id=15704&zenid=d4718b2282e4db94bc4e98c22b79a699 Logitech G930, I personally use these and they're great for gaming - use them for CSGO. You can charge the unit while playing. Usually lasts for like 3 days or so depending on usage. Microphone is pretty good as I dont get any complaints about it sounding bad. Sound quality wise, they are decent (gaming headsets) bit bassy with slight emphasis on mids and highs. (Coming from a head-fier)
  10. Ah. I will take a look at that once I am home.
  11. My one ramps out randomly after bootup for a couple of seconds and does it now and then for 2minutes. It isn't excessively loud but I can deal with it. I have used it in lecture halls and barely notice the noise if it does so. It does get noticeably louder when CPU usage spikes but again I have no problem with it. What program do you use to track the RPM of the fan? Tbh using IE just makes the unit alot smoother and watching videos are alot better than Chrome.
  12. Interesting outcome. I've had my QHD model TOTL i7 for about 5 days now and really liking it. My only problem is that I am forced to use IE as Chrome is a CPU hog causing youtube 1080p videos to stutter when watching. Which browser do you use to watch 1440p videos ?
  13. How does the Dell xps 13 when watching youtube 1080p? I have the QHD model and I feel like my one is thermal throttling of some sort. Cant even watch youtube without it stuttering whilst on facebook / reddit or daily browsing.
  14. Ordered my XPS 13 - got 16% discount from using a coupon here in Australia. Got the QHD + Touch screen for $1750. Cheering as I will be using this for Uni
  15. Had to give these up due to weight problems They were beautiful and great sounding but couldn't wear them for more than 40 minutes. I cant wait for the EL-8s, they seem to solve my problem.
