Hi Im Garrett's Achievements

  1. Over 70 pages lol. Thanks for sponsoring the giveaway Intel and Gigabyte. I'll just sit here and cross my fingers while I watch someone else win. =p (Doesn't hurt to try though)
  2. lol thanks, it's a lot of work but not too bad for a first car. Had it for a few years now.
  3. Had me interested so started looking at motherboards, it seems like you either give up one thing or another. This Gigabyte motherboard has dual TB ports, dual band wifi, a bunch of usb 3. It has dual bios chips (OC friendly) but you give up 2 SATA ports, this board only has 6. http://us.ncix.com/products/?sku=74293. Was the best i could come up with unless you want to get into Maximus V Extreme territory. It has literally everything you are looking for, but much more expensive than the two i came up with.
  4. Increase your FOV in the options, it pulls the camera back a bit so you don't get the massive amount of head bobbing. I had the same headache effect until i increased the FOV. :)
  5. The Maximus V Formula has all of those if you are willing to drop the cash for it. For thunderbolt it has the header but as far as I am aware ASUS has not released their thunderboltex card that plugs into it. May be a reason to look at a different board if thunderbolt is mandatory right away.
  6. I have a 660ti and I am nothing but happy with it. I'm not sure how much of a performance hit going with the regular 660 is but I would recommend the 660ti any day of the week.
  7. Yep, saw this yesterday. I have a 3770k myself but would definitely point someone debating over the two to this video.
  8. Definitely going to pick one of these up. I have a Maximus V Formula so maybe I'll integrate the VRM cooler into it at some point. Really liking the 3 year maintenance free warranty too.
  9. I know a shock mount would help and no I don't have one unfortunately. Some other financial responsibilities came up so I'm not going to be spending on any "wants" until i get it cleared up. That's the only reason why I ask about a software or EQ solution for it.
  10. I have a Corsair Neutron GTX, super fast and also has a 5 year warranty. However, it's really hard to go wrong with any of the big name companies. Go with what you feel is right.
  11. Do you have any personal experience or recommendations for an EQ that would work real-time?
  12. I just recently got an AT2020 and noticed that it picks up the sound from my computer operating which is also on my desk. After playing around in audacity for about 5 minutes I found out how to eliminate the background noise so my voice comes through nice and clear but haven't been able to figure out anything I can use to eliminate the background noise using Skype or other VOIP services. In short, I can get rid of the background noise whilst recording but not streaming through a service such as Skype etc. It is the USB version of the AT2020 so I don't have a control panel to adjust things on, it will have to be a setting or software that solves or helps the problem.
  13. Looks like it would function more as a super fancy test bench to me =p
  14. I wrote this on another topic earlier, but I really suggest getting the fans that will perform how you want them to and then get an LED lighting kit for the nice lighting that you want :). However I still think the Spectre Pros are the best looking fans on the market so I suppose it comes down to what you find more important.
  15. I left it off when I first built my gaming pc because I thought all the super high framerates were cool for some reason. Nowadays I leave it on because I noticed screen tearing on games and figured there is no point in working my video card than absolutely necessary.
