  1. So im looking for a nice laptop to just have as an everyday portable computer, I already have a very beast gaming computer at home so I don't need this for games. Price is really not an issue, but I would rather not spend more then 700... Its just gonna be for music and some programs and to take out on trips. Nothing to fancy. I was looking at these laptops from Asus and they seem pretty good for the price. ASUS VivoBook S500CA-DS51T 15.6" Touchscreen Ultrabook & ASUS Vivobook S400CA Ultrabook So let me know if anyone of you fellas have tried these ultrabooks or have other suggestions that are good. Oh yea for specs, I would like it to be an ultrabook, touchscreen, 13 inch or bigger, core I-5 or better, 6Gigs of ram, dosent have to be 1080p, 720p is fine, and an ssd cache for boot up. I don't mind having a hard drive, I could always upgrade that later. Thanks :)
  2. Hey guys, I was just curious to see what kind of speeds you can get with this card. "Stable" speeds would be most helpful. Ive clocked this card pretty good, but just wanna know what others were able to acheive. I don't wanna push it to far without knowing what others have clocked it too. I don't keep it overclocked all the time, I let it run at its stocked overclocked speeds and pump it up if im gonna game hard! Let me know what you got :)
  3. Yea I figured they wouldent get better, but I don't want them to get worst either... I don't mind the dust, im a clean freak and clean out my case every 2 weeks so no biggy on dust lol. Sometime this week ill try out different configs, I just wanted some input :)
  4. Thanks for the response Electronics, but im actually not looking for fans. My question was would i have around the same temps if I took my setup out of Push/Pull and put it to just Push or just Pull. One or the other, and what kinda setups do you guys have.
  5. You could try Cougar fans. They come in all black versions except the rubber feet, they are orange. You could take them off if you so desire. The Cougar Vortex HDB version is really quiet and moves good air The Cougar Vortex PWM version is a little louder, but moves even more air I WILL WARN YOU, a few people and myself have experienced kind of a raddle squeaky noise from these fans, but only when they are horizontal like on a top mounted radiator and max rpm. I traded mine out for noctuas even though they don’t go with my case color AT ALL! lol I have a 140mm Cougar for my rear exhausted and I can put it at max and it’s still pretty dang quiet, I have a 120 at the bottom pulling in air as well. I will say my noctuas are louder than both those fans. So I hope this helps, good luck :)
  6. Hey guys and gals, I need some help deciding if I should try this new fan layout. This is my current cooling setup, but might change it. Liquid Cooler: Corsair H100 Push/Pull Config Fans: Noctua NF-P12's (F12's were out of stock at the time so I got the next best thing)(Not using any adapters, just running of the pump on low) Idle temps ranging from 33C - 35C (10min wait time) Full load temps ranging from 66C - 74C (1hour wait time) This is all running on an Intel Core I7 Extreme 990X (OC - 4.5 MHz) So what I am asking is will I see just about the same performance if I just went to Push, or Pull? Which setup do you guys prefer? And sound is no issue, I was thinking of putting it in Push and just turning my fans to the max. Those temps don't bother me either, I just don't want them to go much higher since its almost summer and my computer turns into a hot box lol I just want to try something new, If Push/Pull is not really necessary then I might just take out 2 fans and use them on another build. Let me know what you guys think. I do recall Linus saying he doesn’t prefer Push/Pull either… Hmm lol Thanks :)
