  1. When I was new to the tech world, I thought that i3, i5, and i7 were series of Intel processors, so I though that i9 was going to be released sometime...
  2. Very informative for newcomers! You should include that CIG stands for "Cloud Imperium Games".
  3. Looks interesting, but I just don't see this becoming something that convenient for an average consumer, even when taking the price into consideration. It just looks too bulky and intricate in my opinion. It would maybe be more fitting for simulations for training pilots or astronauts or whatever. But I guess people using it for serious training simulations wouldn't mind paying another $100.
  4. I've long thought that graphene and 3D printing was the future (I would call it the 2nd industrial revolution), but now they are both being combined. THIS, is the future everybody.
  5. I've had my Dell laptop for 3 years and not once needed to repair it. I've spilled soda on it (accidentally of course), and I've dropped while I've had it in my bag. It still works just as good as the day I got it.
  6. I'd go with the Fractal Design one...
  7. Please read this thoroughly before commenting, and thank you for taking the time to read it! So I'm planning on building my first own personal PC for gaming, web browsing, possibly some 3D rendering and video and photo editing. I've had some experience before with helping my friends with their PCs, but I've never built my own. I want to build a simple, clean and nice PC for a decent price. I'm going to run it at 1080p, and planning on upgrading it in the future for 4k (distant future that is). I'm not going to overclock anything at first either (hence why I'm going with a stock CPU cooler.) I'm thinking of building something similar to this (note: this is just an example. I'm only going to buy parts that are available in retail in my country.) http://pcpartpicker.com/user/MaXteZz/saved/ZcTFf7 Please give me some advice and tips on this build. Thank you!!! Update: Thank you guys for the advice! Did some changes to the link.
  8. Am I the only one who never heard of such a thing as schools monitoring their student's online activity? I find that absolutely unacceptable.
  9. There is a "price war" going on, so we might be expecting some even lower prices in the future...
  10. http://www.digitimes.com/news/a20140925PD205.html http://www.maximumpc.com/solid_state_drive_price_war_erupts_overseas_2014 Damn, 128 gig SSDs for $50 is an exceptionally low price. My only concern is the speed and reliability of these SSDs, but this is still exciting news.
  11. I thought so aswell...
