If you want to play games from the Late 90s or early 2000s, Windows XP is probably your best bet. You may find driver incompatibility with Sandy Bridge products though.

Is this an undergraduate christmas break or a graduate one? I know often times grad students get longer breaks.

Do you Americans/Canadians ever drive manual cars?

I learned how to drive stick when I was 15 and got my license. I didn't take lessons though, my dad taught me how to drive. I wouldn't say that there's no point, but for most people an automatic is fine. I feel that you learn how cars work and operate better if you know how to drive a manual, and I find that there is less distracted driving when you need both hands to drive. That being said, driving a manual is a PITA in heavy traffic, and if I had a long commute I wouldn't drive stick. I learned how to drive stick in San Francisco, which is definitely one of the more unforgiving places to learn how to drive stick, but I find it pretty useful nonetheless. Engine breaking down long hills is really convenient, and the added protection of not having to worry about your car getting stolen is really nice. -
Seems like it's the GB site has it overpriced by a hundred quid or so.

As the others have said here in this thread, I don't think Linus owning a stake in Framework necessarily means that he is unable to review other laptops, but he does mention Framework far too often in videos that have nothing to do with the product. He has already disclosed that he owns a stake in Framework, he should stop mentioning that from now on.

I have about 12,000 photos (~ 40GB) Some FLAC albums (~50GB), saved iMessages (~10GB) Apps (~20GB). I also want to shoot 4K ProRes, which uses an insane amount of storage.

Pre-ordered the phone on launch day, it should arrive on Friday. I was debating between the 256GB and the 512GB, but the 512GB was $200 more, so I snagged the 256GB and hope that it will be enough storage.
