  1. I was warned about none of these things in the title!
  2. Could it just be a stock issue? I agree something in the conversion isn't making sense there.
  3. Almost expected at this point. I didn't think it was coming out before December in US though so not a huge surprise for me anyways.
  4. For your first bike recommending a 450 is hard but at your size its the only thing I can think of doing. I would get a more trail centered engine like a KTM XCF450/350 or Honda CR450X or Yamaha WR450. KX doesn't offer anything in the trail range (KLX140 is the closest) and I'm not a fan of Suzuki. The bigger engine is absolutely easier to ride off road because its a bigger engine. With the smaller engines, to go as fast, require you to ride and keep them in higher RPM (I myself have a 250f, 6ft @130lbs. but I ride moto and GNCC style trails) but the 450 will be really torque centric and pull you without giving alot of throttle. The trail bikes will emphasize this motor curve more and not be as heavy on top end speed. 450's can be fast bikes but as long as you ride within your limits there is nothing to be afraid of but a 450 of any kind will demand respect.
  5. I assume right now this is just the quiet before the storm?
  6. That was posted in 2014, he made his decision in October of last year.
  7. What drives do you have? Those are some great numbers. I agree 32 at idle seems high considering the rad space but its not a number to get upset with. From that picture I see what you were getting at with the LED's fading in the center. Does it look that dark in person? Whats the yellow glow around the CPU block area?
  8. Really like the layout. Did I miss the post about the thermals you were getting? I would just stick with USB3. You won't need any other equipment for connections and the bandwidth USB3 has could manage the HDD at full tilt (it is just one external correct?). I've had a few Oraco items and they work overall pretty well but made cheap as they will start loosing pieces quickly. Read the reviews to make sure the fan and connections last on it.
  9. @Ryzone I have a TN 1080p 60Hz panel and don't feel hindered by it. Because I'm more casual the screen Hz doesn't affect my decision so much as Gsync does. I like UW 1440p over 4k because as of now I have SLI 780's which, to me I think, is enough horsepower for the frames but 4k scares me because of the VRAM limitation. I'm with you though, I'm buying this monitor for a fun experience and using something unique while still capable seems like the better option.
  10. That would be news to me. I always assumed you were applying OC to the scaler (maybe not the right word, whatever is used between the GPU and screen image) to push out images at a faster rate. After reading the TFT review I am pretty interested in at least trying. Tearing is incredibly annoying to me and I've had my junk monitor for long enough, my SLI 780's deserve more. However, I'm torn on what I should do. I want this monitor but, I'll go over my idea of what I want for second opinions. I only play games at home. I am a Helpdesk IT at a hospital so nothing ever comes home with me, worst case I RDP back into my work computer but very rare. I use Ps/AutoCAD, etc on occasion but its maybe a 90/10 split between games/media consumption over productivity. I want the 21:9 because immersion into a game for the story is way more fun than CSGO will ever be for me. I enjoy FPS like Battlefield or ARMA over arena shooters like COD/CSGO so quickness doesn't play as big of a factor as FOV would I think. I also like RTS and Racing games which once again seems perfectly suited for this monitor. Am I right in wanting this monitor over a 4k?
  11. What kind of fences do you have around you? Sounds like a shitty fence. Unless of course you are referring to using it in a 16:9 ratio. Then it kind of makes sense.
  12. Its green again. YES! Now pump out the enthusiast Sniper 5 and I'll deeply consider upgrading.
  13. Ah yes, good shout, I confused the Euro and Pound. My fault completely. As for saying it's a smaller country I simply meant the marketed audience. They went for the "by country" approach for first release instead of the whole continent (just Germany compared to a Europe release as most would. I understand how it could be construed that way but I try my hardest to not be the "ignorant American" ). Any reason that Alternate would have the first stock? To my knowledge this hasn't happened before with an Acer release or near the place of production, no?
  14. Well, it was worrying at first but it seems it holds true that those with bad experiences speak before those with enjoyable ones. Hopefully the trend of people showing good results keeps going. I imagine they released to Germany first was because of lack of stock, releasing to a smaller country first would help spread word but let them keep production pace. What is the deal with the price though? I was considering it to be my top dollar at $1250-1300 but now rumors of it being $1500? There is absolutely no way I can swing that.
  15. Dell 5k is the closest thing that exist right now.
  16. Something hasn't been copied this hard since Thermaltake and CaseLabs.
  17. Only thing I can think of would be condensation from a drastic temperature change on the glass (cool inside/warm outside) but I haven't dabbled to much with custom loops so I'm not the guy with answers there. I've seen you post in the Acer X34 thread aswell but doesn't seem like that was an option anymore to you. Cold feet? I have an Acer TN panel right now (some junky 1080p I can't wait to get rid of) and I'm replacing it because I bought low, there isn't anything wrong with the panel itself but it being TN, 1080p, 60hz, 8ms GTG, non adjustable stand, etc. I've spent to much on my PC to have something like it. I like Acer as a brand and they haven't done anything to screw me over but then again neither has ASUS. For me, I like the Acer because of the panel but it just looks so ugly I'd also have to consider some sort of arm mount for it. The glossy black and rounded base with the tacky red is the worst thing I have ever seen.
  18. I like it, I can see how hardline just wouldn't work here unless you went the expensive route and used a fitting for bends. Any plans for a drain? As for storage I like what Parvum did. I got the idea for it when I was watching J2C build in one, 4:00 in it shows the bracket for it. Not sure how much room you have but in the custom one I'm trying to do it's what I'm using. 10:45 he talks about the back half of it and somewhere in there how the drive cage works.
  19. @ramm small world. I have SLI 780's, just recently got my second from eBay. I had plans to WC but they are to aged now and waterblocks to scarce for me to consider it now, I'll just wait until Volta or so. The 750D will look bare at first but I do like mine. I took out the HDD cages to allow more airflow and got a 5.25 to 3.5 bay converter since I don't use any 5.25 drives and thats where I have my mechanical storage. Then there is also the case to be made that everything is getting smaller, mATX/ITX is gaining popularity and with everything shrinking in size but not power it will most likely become the standard in a 10 year time frame.
  20. As someone with a 750D and had a single GPU in it for awhile it looks completely blank. If you don't plan on doing a WC loop I'd go 350D. If you plan on expanding such as SLI or WC then 750D.
  21. I like the fit, fills up the blank space nicely. What are you doing for storage?
  22. First review seems positive. Thanks for the update. Glow in the corners is pretty much to be expected, it being manageable is the key.
  23. Looks really cool and glad that's worked out for you, layout looks really good. The amount of radiator space you have looks amazing and I can't hide my envy of it. With the glass over the top of it that will look really cool. Keep us updated, I'm interested how the loop path will work here.
  24. Sounds really cool. Looking forward to the video update.
