  1. Hi, I need some help troubleshooting my computer. Specs: GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060-3GBSSD: Kingdian S180 60GB HDD: WD Blue 1TB (2012)RAM: Unknown 8GBF1X08JEEE36-12-K 2x8GB (some storebrand ram I bought at bestbuy)MBD: Gigabyte GA-AB350-Gaming 3-CFPSU: EVGA 600B Firstly, Windows is recognizing that I have 16 gigs, so it's nothing related to that Recently, within the last two weeks, my memory usage has been incredibly high with no real reason to be. It hovers around 50% used while idle and goes up to 85% in use when I do my daily things on it, which is typically having a couple tabs of Opera open, having Discord open, and having Steam open. I can't for the life of me figure out what is the cause of this. I haven't really downloaded/changed much in the last two weeks since this problem arose, so that leaves me even more stumped. Whenever I restart my computer, the memory used is typically pretty reasonable, staying under 40% used, however it rises randomly. Also, I'm not sure if this is directly relevant, but it takes my system about four minutes to restart, and when I log back in and have all my usual programs open, the memory usage is normal, it stays around 20% right after I boot up. I've attached some screenshots of task manager, rammap and a memory cleaner tool that I use every few hours that saves a couple hundred megs of memory. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  2. Specs: Ryzen 5 1500x Gigabyte AB350 Gaming 3 mobo 2x8GB DDR4 RAM EVGA 600B PSU Asus GTX 1060 3GB Dual Graphics Card Today I got my new 1060 in the mail, I'm upgrading from a r9 270x. I went ahead and did the replacement process correctly, however when I go to turn on my pc, it doesn't display anything and the VGA led on my mobo is illuminated. The PCI slot on my mobo is fine, I know this because I'm currently using my 270x in the same slot. So far, I've tried using both pcie slots on my mobo, and using DVI instead of HDMI, however those don't seem to help me at all. The white led by the power socket on the 1060 turns on, so it is receiving power. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  3. I've reapplied my thermal paste, I used Arctic Silver 5, but my cpu still reports being at 58°C.
  4. Ok, I've reseated the CPU, will have to go out and buy some thermal paste tomorrow, tryed turning it on with the video card and hard drive out and it worked. I put the video card back in and started it and it worked. I put the hard drive back in and tryed to start it but the first 2 times it didnt work so I made sure all of the power cables were plugged in and it worked. I don't know why but the 24 pin connector wont quite stay in the port for it all the way. One little question, my cpu generally is around 54°C-60°C when idling, would that be considered a good temperature? My room is generally 26°C-32°C (80°F-90°F).
  5. My PC will sometimes not turn on at all, only the CPU, GPU, PSU, and one of the case fans will spin for about half a second, once every 7-10 seconds. Cpu: AMD Athlon X4 760K 3.8 GHz (Stock fan) Gpu: MSI Radeon R7 260x Mobo: MSI A78M-E35 Psu: Corsair CX430 (430 watts, 80+ Bronze) HDD: WD Caviar Blue 1TB RAM: 1x8GB Crucial Ballistix Sport (DDR3-1600MHz) Most of the time I can just wait three or four hours and It'll be able to be turned back on, but I'd like to get rid of this problem. I'm leaning towards the PSU being at fault.
