parsec no longer supports windows 7 so that is a no go

hey guys! i got a retro pc running Windows 7. And my current modern pv running windows 10 with modern hardware. Is there any way i can remote into my retro pc to play the retro games i have ionstalled that ARE NOT on steam? I just tried using remote desktop that coimes with windows but i cant launch the games from my modern pc over it because its trying to use my modern hardware to launch it and says its not compatible..... I want something to launch the software off of my retro pc and use its hardware and then stream to to my modern pc so i can play it remotely on there.....

Hey guys, i got a 14 year old kid....loves to stay up super late on his pc tho i remedied that with a timer on the internet so that aint a problem. The problem im having is controlling what he downloads and installs on his pc! I had to formatt his pc 2 times in the last 2 weeks because he will download ANYTHING he "needs" and just click YES to everything....you would not imagine the amount of bloatware and trojans i found on his PC....now ive tried making his account a standard user but that dont do nothing he can still download and install freely....what im looking for is: A program that: -disables/blocks downloads with a password -block ANY program from being installed THAT or if anyone knows of a way i can circumvent this from ever happening again....be it with a program or anything.....thanks! P.S he aint dumb....but he is.......smart when he needs to be....i told him many times dont just click yes! For instance i was using internetoff to cut out the internet at a certain time each night....he then found a way around it by changing time zones making the pc time seem earlier so it didnt shut off....to that i said "cheeky bugger." i now use a external mechanical timer to just turn off the router switch to his room each night....

hey gusy i just set up a spare pc as a game server running windows 10, i can connect to it n all from my main pc but when i turn the monitor off "my t.v" it cuts the remote desktop connection. requiring my t.v to be on when im remote connected....any way to set it up and how to not require my t.v to be on all the time?

Hey guys, i crrently have a dell 34" 1440p ultrawide monitor. and one 24" 1080p DVI monitor. I got another spare 24" 1080p DVI monitor and was wondering if it is possible to run both my 1080p monitors off my processor/motherboard alone and have my 34" ultrawide be the only one running off of my rx 6800 xt so that when i game i get the best "performance" for my games. Im only going to use the dual 1080's for youtube and web browsing. Is this possible? can i have two monitors running off the built in processor graphics? Or should i just use 1 1080p and one 1440p instead? Will running two 24" 1080p monitors off of my cpu give me low performance? Any info on this would help me decide wich path i should take. thanks! think i might have figured it out....i turned off direct x 11 and now it seems fine...but not i have graphical glitches in game.....because its running on DX9.....

i havent the foggiest man, my Radeon settings are all on default and my paladins settings are all on low with everything turned off. Im starting to think my power supply is not outputting enough voltage to run dual monitors??? i donno?

OK im at a loss....whenever im Playing paladins on my setup i get really really bad frame drops....like BAD....but here is the thing i have dual monitors when i turn one off its fine....NO DROPS no nothing....but as soon as i turn it back on aand go dual monitors i get drops....i have replaced my video card its literally 110% new only 2 days old....still same thing. GPU never hits over 55c same with CPU and both are not over clocked. My specs below: -Gigabyte RX 6700 XT OC - aircooled LATEST updated drivers -Ryzen 5 3600 - watercooled -16G DDR4 3800mhz dual channel -2 AOC 1080p monitors both have updated drivers installed -Gigabyte 750watt powersupply -MSI bazooka v2 B450M motherboard with latest Bios update -Adata 1TB SSD -500GB M.2 SSD I ordered a new 850 watt power supply....going to try that next....if that dont fix it then....i donno what might b the problem....

i dont want it to be PERMANENT but stickable to the point where it can come off if need, i just dont want them to fall off when there in the pc on the card

what is a good thermal pad/tape to use to attach small heatsinks to VRAM and such? Like a good high-quality one that allows for good heat transfer.

figured it out, was playing through the night and was getting horrible frame drops and stuttering, i swapped out my power supply and same thing....so i swapped out my GPU and BAM butter smooth! Guess the GPU is on its way out? Luckly im still on warranty so ill get that going. Honestly wasnt much help on here....

im about ready to throw this fucking pc over my belconey...im never buying AMD again after this shit.

Ok so its been happening alot l8tly and its pissing me off....ill be gaming on one and watching youtube on the other....and whenever i alt+tab in-between SOMETIMES, its random the entire pc will just freeze and then restart....the hell is going on!?!? MY PC: -Ryzen 3600 not overclocked with ID-Cooling watercooling, fresh noctua thermal paste -Gigabyte rx 5700 xt not overclocked and has ID cooling AIO watercooling, fresh noctua thermal paste -16GB corsair 3600 RAM -1TB Adata ssd -512GB M.2 drive -Gigabyte 700w B700H bronze PSU GPU drivers are current BIOS is current chipset is current monitor drivers are current Temps of both the CPU and GPU never go above 55c.

well i can say im still using a 980ti to this date and i still can run any game i throw at it at full specs ultra settings....tho i would not pay full or even half price for it. maybe $200 canadian tops for the 980ti and $300 for the 1080ti that being said a 1080 non ti i wouldnt pay more than 200

hey guys i cant decide wich router is the beter option between the two for my needs. im a gamer i got 3 pc's one is a dedicated game server pc and the other two are modern updated ryzen pc's i have 1000g internet down and 50g up speeds. im with Shaw. lol not any dirty sites, just stupid ones like sketchy pokemon sites that want u to download sumthign before looking at it....he had like 4 different browsers and 3 different antivirus programs installed on his pc and random games like slots and tables gambling games....

Hey guys, i build a decent pc for my 12 year old so he can play his games online n stay off my PC. So i gave him free range on it and came back to find nothign but malware and garbage installed on it slowing it down and making it usless...i have formatted and reinstalled windows but is there a way i can block him from installing anything or even block him from downloading.

ok so figured it out after buying a entire new pc in parts again and still wouldnt boot....turned out it was my Display Port cable....it was supplying power to my M.2 drive sumhow preventing my drtives from being detected...yea i donno either...so i popped in a HDMI cable and BAM starts up n detects all my drives....
