TUCKER2k4's Achievements

  1. I really like the idea behind the creation of the FinalMouse. I've been holding onto my Logitech G9x for years now, as I haven't really seen anything that interests me to pull me away from it. Alas, the buttons are starting to act up once in awhile now, so I guess it's time.
  2. Yeah... The 100% fan thing is a problem that needs fixing and not something you should be ignoring.
  3. This sounds like the anti-humidity feature on some motherboards. Model of Mobo?
  4. This is much less about whether or not you "have" to and more about if you "should." And yes, you should. Clean installs on new hardware is always preferable.
  5. First problem: Are you sure it's not a single short beep, as that signifies a successful boot and will happen every time you start the computer. I don't see any error codes on that board for a single long beep. Second problem: I'm fairly certain this issue comes from the image you are installing from. It sounds like the hardware config (number of drives and locations) on the original install that the image was created from is too different from the current setup you are running. I would definitely recommend trying a clean install of Windows not from an image and see what happens.
  6. Hearing "pops" is never a good thing. The only thing I know of that pops would be capacitors when they go bad/short, so check all of the ones you can see to see if they're bulging at the top, as they should be completely flat.
  7. That's really sad to hear about Puget being put into this position. They seem to be a great company comprised of actual enthusiasts. I've been toying with the idea of building a mineral oil PC since I first heard about them about 5 years ago. If I had a choice, I'd go for the mITX case, as I think a small tank PC would look really cool, not to mention being lighter to move around and not as much oil needed. Regardless of giveaway, Good Luck to you guys at Puget, and don't let the trolls bring you down!
  8. I'm a big fan of the look of that Kuhler 1250. With so many AIO coolers out there, at least this one went for a unique look.
  9. A lot of people seem to hate the look of the AMP! Extreme, but I applaud them for doing something a little different and I think it looks pretty cool. Some different LED effects on GPUs aside from a glowing GeForce logo is definitely welcome
  10. Maybe if I remember my AMD account if I have one... In the mean time I've made a post on the official Windows Technical Preview forums pointing them here. Should help a lot of confused people like me.
  11. Ha, gotta love issues like that. Either way, I used your file with my keys and everything looks great. Thanks a lot for the help, I've been digging around the interwebs for a while for a fix. Some people on the AMD forums having the same issue.
  12. No, its the correct type, it changes the icon into a reg file. Just says it isn't when I run it.
  13. I make a txt file, enter the correct info and change the key, save it as .reg and try to run it. It gives an error saying it's not a registry file when I try to run the file or import from registry editor. Any ideas?
  14. Hey Linus, I'd been watching your unboxings and random tech vids that came up in specific searches I was doing on PC hardware for quite some time. That changed about a year and a half ago when I realized how much I really enjoy the content that you and the rest of the LTT group create. I genuinely now anxiously await every video you guys put out and have a calender set for every Friday so that I don't miss a WAN Show, which has seriously become a highlight of my week. This sounds like I'm sucking up, but I'm totally serious . I've been a PC hardware enthusiast ever since I had to replace my Nvidia Riva TNT because it couldn't play BF1942. Now, in my late 20s still building enthusiast rigs for myself and friends, I find myself loving to watch you guys, probably because you're pretty much doing my dream job lol. Thanks for all the work you guys do, it's definitely appreciated. P.S. if Slick dies in Germany, I want his job.
