  1. Hi all, Currently all of the USB ports on this PC are no longer working except for one of them. Here is a video I recorded demonstrating this: I've performed every type of update to the PC that I could think of (chipset, drivers, BIOS, etc...) but to no avail. It's very likely the motherboard itself is damaged in some way but I would like to make sure I have covered all my options first. Full specifications of the PC are: ------------------------------------------- CPU: Intel Core i7-7700k @4.20GHz Motherboard: MSI Intel Z270 SLI PLUS GPU: PNY GeForce® RTX 2080 8GB XLR8 GAMING PSU: Corsair TX 650M RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 2666Mhz Thank you for your time! Shaun
  2. My primary monitor, an ACER predator xb271hu, is connected to my PC via Display Port. I also have a second monitor, BenQ GW2765HT, also connected via Display Port. I also have my Nintendo Switch connected to my primary monitor via HDMI. Whenever I want to play on my Switch, I just change the input signal for my primary monitor to HDMI. After a while when using the HDMI signal, the Display Port signal to my primary monitor turns off, and all of my applications that were on my primary monitor get moved over to my secondary monitor. I want to keep the Display Port signal to my primary monitor active when on the HDMI signal. All options related to the monitor sleeping are set to "Never". Thanks for your time, Shaun
  3. Hi DarkSoulsGuyX, I'm Shaun. Welcome to the forums
  4. Recently did a case + fans + cable swap out: Doing a cooling upgrade next. Planning on doing a full brass tube loop the end of the month.
  5. The card I have is a PNY RTX 2080 8GB XLR8 Gaming OC Triple Fan (Amazon link here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07GJQ7BLS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) After I turn on my computer and hit the windows login screen all fans on my card will hit 100% fan speed and will stay there for close to 3 minutes. I've owned this card for about 5 days now and it has been doing this since day 1. I opened up CAM to see the load of the card and it was between 8 and 12% with a temp of 25 Degrees After the fans stopped spinning at 100%, the load went down to about 6% and the temps went to 30 Degrees. I have MSi after burner configured to only hit 100% fan speed at 90 Degrees so I'm not sure why my card is going to 100% fan speed.
  6. So just a moment ago while I was watching a video on YouTube all 3 of my monitors went black. When this happened I was still able to hear the audio from the video playing but after about 5 seconds that stopped too. I didn't know what just happened, so I started mashing Ctrl + Alt + Del. When I did this I would hear a random beeping sound from my headset. After about a minute of panic and confusion Google Chrome crashed and my PC went back to normal. I can honestly say I've never seen anything like this happen before so I wouldn't even know where to start when debugging something like this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. PC Specs: Windows 10 Home edition Intel Core i7-7700k @ 4.2GHz NVIDIA GForce GTX 1070 SC MSI Pro Series Intel Z270 Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3000MHz If you need any more specs I'll add them in.
  7. I'm going to try for a Black and Grey/Silver look. I'm looking to change my Case, Fans and maybe CPU cooler if it will add to the aesthetic more. I'm also option to cable mod options. There's currently only one LED strip in the case that's connected directly to the motherboard's LED header. Here's what my PC looks like right now.
  8. So I bought an LED light strip today, hooked it up to my Motherboard (MSI Intel Z270 SLI PLUS) and everything looks to be fine, the LEDs are working just fine. Now, I'm trying to figure out how to control them. I've been told to use either the MSI mystic light controller or the MSI gaming app but I can't get either of those apps to even start up on my PC. When I install them, I get the same error: "The platform does not support this application" I have my BIOS 100% up-to-date and I've tried all solutions I've come across so far. Thanks for your time, Shaun
  9. Hey there, I posted a question about the issue I encountered over on StackOverflow and I haven't gotten any luck getting an answer yet so I'm just posting it here to get it around to some more people: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/49982223/managing-windows-hosts-with-ansible-winrm-or-requests-is-not-installed Thanks for your time! 10. I turned off the RGB once I noticed that the battery was depleting faster.
  11. I've been using these headphones for over a year now. They're fantastic but over the last few months the battery life on them have been rather poor. I can't seem to get more than 3-4 hours out of them before they start making the "battery is low" beep. Does anyone know what might cause the battery life to be reduced this much? From what I've been reading the battery life of these headphones should roughly 16 hours. Thanks.
  12. If you write with you left hand, is that all it takes for you to be left handed? Writing is the only thing I actively do with my left hand. If it came to throwing and catching a ball I'd use my right hand. The same with playing the guitar, I hold the plectrum in my right hand.
