PeterK's Achievements

  1. It is , however i think he was too angry and frustrated to do that show. Besides all this, he has lots of people employed, and running his mouth hot headed could potentially hurt others. With all this said i think he was advised by most of the core staff and wife to NOT make a wan show. As much as i think he's guitly (as a company) this was the best call . If we constantly elevate the frustration and stress things will go wrong regardless of intentions. Ps.: i stopped watching all of LMG about 2 years ago. The wan show is the only video that i occasionally watch. To me they went wayyy to corporate, always trying to sell some shit to improve something (production quality)that does not matter at all to me. I loved the simplicity , the goofiness , the scripts and ads scared me away honestly.... For example Jay does a better job with his company (he's smaller, probably always will be, but he never wanted an empire) .
  2. no , not sure how to do that , or that it will have any impact . Momentarily it seems like the issue is sorted . HOWEVER , i have no idea why it stopped , no updates were installed besides the normal windows 10 updates . I really don't know what to say 'bout this . I have a hunch tho , mostly i hibernate the system , sometimes for 10-15 days i "accumulate" the hibernation . And suspended states have been known to cause issues . perhaps it has something to do with it aswell .
  3. I see that was released in february , but i had this problem for more than half a year , perhaps close to a year .
  4. RX6800XT , the driver is always the latest , but it doesn't matter
  5. When my monitor goes to sleep , it constantly cycles between no signal detected (unplug sound) , and signal detected (plug in sound) - but the screen is still black , as it should be . Now this cycles every minute or every 2 minutes . It absolutely enrages me as i had no luck fixing it myself , also no luck on the internet . Before anyone says change your power settings I DID , also the grounding is good , i tried with and without grounded plug . System works just fine . I tried on 2 monitors , 3 different DP cables , 1 HDMI cable , same problem persists . I also have a TV . with the tv as the primary display (monitor off) this problem goes away . But with only the monitor and TV off , same problem (unplug/plugin) , even if i remove the secondary display cable the monitor/driver still does his thing . ps.: annoying A.F.
  6. I have windows 10 and i am facing the same problem if i enable or switch the ftpm modes. Initially i changed it to be able to get the win11 eligibility , but now i turned it back to it's old state and f*** it . I refuse to upgrade . This is a bios /microcode level issue , no windows update will fix it . My motherboard is an asus X570 Tuf gaming plus ,paired with a 3900X cpu
  7. Correction , it cycles every 2-3minutes or so , not 5 minutes
  8. The issue : After the pc turns off the display , at every 5 minutes or so , the display comes on says no signal , than goes to sleep , this cycle repeats indefinetly . Everything works fine when the pc is active , and the screen in ON from the pc . It also works fine when i shutdown the system , no glitching then ... It's really a weird issue , & i've not been able to find any meaningful anwser . Monitor is an LG 27UD68P 4K@60 , on display port , acts the same on HDMI . GPU is an AMD RX6800XT . Windows 10 , updated drivers and all that shit . This has been going on for almost a year , when i got the gpu it didn't do this , so i suspect that it's some software glitch on the monitor .
  9. historically it won't go down much , and it will slowly fade out . On the second hand market yes , but the 2000series i doubt . And the price drops won't come instantly anyhow ..... we might have to wait 1-2 months for prices to drop . Right now wait it out , it all depends on what the new gpus have to offer . Also keep in mind you will likely not get your new gpu till october , and if it's a huge success we're gonna have problems with the stocks as usual (for maybe 3 months? ). Seems like a holyday card imo... , but i'll try to get it as fast as i can if the numbers are good (the 3080)
  10. For what resolution and FPS ? , nvidia 3000 launch might be delayed , so unless you want to wait till september to get a small pricedrop on the 2000 series (- at that time it won't be worth going for the 'old' gen card ) go for it. But if it's already september you might wait till black friday , so you see, if you're in the 'wait' game you're always just 3-4 months away from a discount or a new release . 1080 imo is still decent , only 2080super or 2080ti would bring a major difference . On a sidenote i'm on a 1070 , and i feel like buying an 1080ti used , because a 2080super might become 'mid range' in a half a year so why bust 1000$ on that ?.... and 2080ti is just too much money to spend 1400$ (for me personally) .
  11. "The chipset creates 8 pci-e 2.0 (500MB/s per lane), which can go to various slots or additional m.2 connectors." this way we're back to square one . We can already get ~550mb on sata3
  12. well , this is not a lot . X16 is sorta kinda reserved for the video card , 4 is assigned to the chipset , and you get to have 4 pcie4 lanes for m.2 storage - this is how it looks . So no , pcie is still not enough for 6 m.2 pcie4-x4 drives (!at full speed) . If you choose to install https://www.sonnettech.com/product/m2-4x4-pcie-card.html something like that , your GPU bandwith will suffer (maybe won't even work with an 4 lanes)
  13. True that , i also have a 160gb wd drive , but i 'decomissioned' it 6-7 years ago
  14. The adaptors are ok , i'm not saying they're not , but usually denser storage cost more for the same capacity , maybe that will change too .... , i mean i'm just curious of what comes next .
  15. I can understand that , but i don't like it
