  1. The transmission of information is the lifeblood of humanity and we have been able to do it faster and faster. The latest record is so mind-bogglingly fast that to comprehend it, we ought to compare it to the whole internet. Using a single laser... 2. I don't know what the American equivalent of a compulsory purchase order is, (where land and buildings have to be sold to the goverment to make way for things like roads), but make a law saying these tax assessments will be used to set the compensation for compulsory purchase orders and you won't get companies like Apple trying to claim hi-tech 21st buildings on acres of land are only worth $200! Either that or the government can get some bargains and sell them on to competitors with a very nice profit margin!
  3. If the LED colour is important why not spend the little extra for the RGB version, although it does mean putting up with the new logo!
  4. Apologies if this has already been posted. Ubisoft are showing their colours again. This article on Kitguru (LINK) outlines how cheats are still prospering including an unreal video of one of said cheats. Secondly they have delayed access to the next DLC for PC season pass holders, so now they will only get access at the same time as other PC users, 9 days after console season pass holders & 2 days after console non-season pass holders, The excuse being 'due to technical reason'. Ahhh Ubisoft... Keep on digging!
  5. This is a strange topic for the older gamer as (and I'm sure Socratic had the same memories looking at his account) my first gaming experiences can't be divided into the clear PC v Consoles split that exists today. I started with Game & Watch, TomyTronic 3D & Puck-man. Sided with the Commodore 64 rather than the Sinclair ZX Spectrum & was introduced to Lemmings via the Acorn Archimedes. Finally got into consoles via the Sega Master System, then Game Boy, SNES & N64. Had to buy a PC for non-gaming purposes, which snuck PC gaming into my life. However most of my peers were still consolers so I tried PS2 & XBOX 360, but after PC gaming it just didn't appeal any more. So I'm onto my fourth PC and don't imagine ever abandoning PC gaming again. But I still have a soft spot for Nintendo. Where as Sony & Microsoft's offerings seem like underpowered PCs, Nintendo has always seemed to push the envelope. I bought and enjoyed the social aspect of the Wii & intend to get a Wii U in the near future.
