  1. You need to record at much higher FPS. Best option is to use a smartphone with a slow-mo mode that is at least 2x the refresh rate of the display. Also you should be able to tell by looking at it with your eyes.
  2. Does it report that its enabled in the UEFI? Windows and other software may report false numbers. Best way to check is by running a before and after benchmark and seeing if theres any improvement.
  3. You need to plug in the 8pin EPS connector. If you plug in a 6 pin it's likely a PCI-e power connector and not the correct one to use. You also don't need the extra 4 pins they're just for extra power handling.
  4. Did you plug in the 8 pin EPS? The specs seem fine to me.
  5. There is a setting but it may have a different name. Mine is called XMP on my X570-A Pro so just look around for the setting and enable it. RAM won't automatically run at its highest speed.
  6. I got 4 systems going but I'm hardly getting any CPU WU's lately. one of my systems is very slow tho and only pulls in maybe 250ppd but it's still points so I'm gonna run it
  7. I strongly recommend at a minimum a hyper 212 for any modern CPU at stock sped. If you wanna OC you want water or high end air.
  8. The reason why pausing works is because it resets the wait/attempt timer. If the client asks for a WU and there isn't any it will wait some random amount of time (lets say 35 min) but if you pause and start it again it will do an attempt immediately and fail but the timer will be set to something like 1min 36 seconds and it will try again. If you watch it and keep pausing and restarting it you'll get more attempts but you'll only get a WU if ones available.
  9. You can do it via Ryzen Master software but you're better off doing it in UEFI. Just set your PPT limit lower than the default 88 watts. Maybe try 65 and see how it goes.
  10. Here's the thing... you shouldn't upgrade a prebuilt system. They aren't designed for it. Odds are you installed a CPU that the BIOS doesn't support or you damaged the socket by placing an incompatible CPU in it. Either way we need more info like @-rascal- said.
  11. If I'm not mistaken display port is DP regardless of where it comes from so if you go from a GPU into a KVM as long as the KVM isn't remaking the signal and is just routing it to an output it should work fine. Idk about HDMI tho. Min requirement for gsync is 900 series I think.
  12. So I guess there's no point then? I figure it might help get more WU's since I've been starved for them most of the day. Right now all my slots are going but when they're done there's no guarantee they'll start up for another hour.
  13. You can turn down the package power limit to compensate. Load clocks might be slightly lower when you hit the CPU hard but it shoudl helpo the temps. Also stock ryzen cooler should be enough to fold on. Maybe TIM wasn't applied properly?
  14. You can set how many threads a slot is allowed to use. I'm just curious to know if setting it to anything other than -1 makes sense.
  15. This literally isn't enough information for anybody to reasonably help you. You need to do some troubleshooting of your own and come back with more info so people can give ideas that make sense or else people will have to just pick problems out of a hat and see if it does anything for you.
  16. Just curious if anyone knows if you can get more PPD and WU's completed if you make more CPU slots. I have a Ryzen 3700X and because I have 16 threads I was wondering if it might make sense to do 8 threads and have 2 slots going at once (assuming I can get a WU).
  17. Short anwser: no Long anwser: technically using your computer at all will degrade your hardware so it pretty much has a finite lifespan regardless of if you fold on it or not. Ovbiously folding can be harmful to your computer if your hardware overheats but as long as your PC case is clean and the heatinks are big enough you should be fine. Also don't fold on sketchy hardware that you think might die like an old DELL from 2001 as the components already have 20 years or so of use on them so it's likely the power supply or somethign else ight give out from 24/7 load but modern ish stuff should be fine as long as it's good quality.
  18. Uninstalling doesn't do anything. it won't help you get WU's.
  19. lucky you. I got 3PCs going and when they all have WU's I can barely hit 1mill.
  20. Currently I'm getting about 900K PPD but my CPU and the CPU in another system I have aren't working on units at the moment. In total I got 24 hardware threads and 3 GPUs. Broke 1 mill PPD
  21. So I understand that supposedly the servers are a bit bogged down but I haven't gotten any WU's for my CPU (3700x). I got one for another system with an older i5 but I keep seeing "23:19:45:WARNING:WU00:FS00:Failed to get assignment from '18.218.241.186:80': No WUs available for this configuration". Not sure if this is an issue related to Ryzen or not. I also tried changing "client-type" to advanced but it didn't help.
