  1. Hi all, I have an LG 55" OLED B9S 4K TV and I'm looking for a soundbar to pair with it. My first consideration is getting a Sonos system, perhaps initially a Sonos Arc paired with a sub (gen 3) which I can find around EUR 1300-1500 with the current black friday deals, with the potential of expanding it later on with some rear speakers as well. Ultimately this will cost around EUR 2000. My second consideration is the Samsung HW-Q990c, which is more of a complete system with a soundbar, sub and two rears, which I can find around EUR 1000 total. Out of the two above, is the Sonos system worth the extra money, or am I better off going with the Samsung one? I also read that Samsung soundbars tend to be a bit finicky with other brands of TVs, so taking that into consideration as well. Thanks all!
  2. Thanks for replying! Well the cheapest I could find is from this German site: https://www.cyberport.de/notebook-und-tablet/notebooks/lenovo/pdp/1ca6-009/lenovo-campus-thinkpad-t14-20ues00l00-14-fhd-r7-4750u-pro-16gb-1tb-ssd-dos.html at 1219 EUR for a Ryzen 7 Pro 4750U, 16GB Ram and 1TB ssd. I also saw this Lenovo one: https://www.cyberport.de/notebook-und-tablet/notebooks/lenovo/pdp/1c31-3qg/lenovo-ideapad-gaming-3-15arh-15-fhd-120hz-r5-4600h-16gb-512gb-ssd-gtx1650ti-dos.html
  3. Hi all, I'm in search of a laptop. Mostly will be used for multimedia consumption and working from home, hence around 14-15 inches. Budget around 800-900 EUR but willing to go a bit higher for something that is worth the money. I am searching for something with a 4000 series AMD CPU, nice screen, big touchpad and well built construction. I don't believe I'm in need of a dedicated GPU but if I can find a laptop that has one as well that will be a bonus. I stumbled upon this new Huawei MateBook: https://consumer.huawei.com/uk/laptops/matebook-14-amd-2020/buy/ There is two variants: One with the Ryzen 5 4600H, 8GB Ram, 256GB SSD at £749.99 or 825 EUR; Another one with the Ryzen 7 4800H, 16GB Ram, 512GB SSD at £949.99 or 1050 EUR; I believe some countries have the option of the Ryzen 5 with 16GB Ram/512 GB SSD for around 900 EUR. Looks decent with 1440p display with 3:2 aspect ratio, big touchpad and metal body. How does the above look to you? Does anyone have experience with Huawei laptops? Are there any similarly specced laptops around the same price? Open to suggestions for other laptops that fit the above criteria. Thanks in advance!!
  4. On Lenovo's UK site you can get a maxed out Ryzen 7 4800U configuration (see below) for £744.99 which can go down 10% to £670.49 by signing up for their newsletter which gets you a discount code.
  5. Okay guys thanks a lot for clearing things up!
  6. So a combo of the 2400G with the gtx 1070 on a 1080p 60hz monitor will be okay however not so good on a 120hz monitor. Correct? 1440 is out of the question I'm assuming
  7. I'm planning on a new build for a friend. Since he doesn't yet have the budget for a GPU I adviced him on building on the new AMD 2400g so that he can game a bit until he gets a dedicated GPU like a GTX 1070/1080. My question is will the 2400g bottleneck a GPU like the 1070/1080?
  8. Haha I'll call my ISP tomorrow then and if they can't fix it then i'll get an access point. Or is a router a better option?
  9. Maybe. I will give them a call and check it out, although my previous modem/router had better signal by maybe 7-8 meters. That had an external antena tho. Bear in mind that my house has concrete walls. Some quite thick as well
  10. Yeah and it doesn't have an option to add an external antenna to it which sucks. It's on it's side right now. I had it flat before. Doesn't really improve much, I checked
  11. That's what I was leaning towards. What should I look for in an access point? Any good recommendations? Also whats the difference from a router ?
  12. Yeah I already mentioned that I tried repositioning the modem without much improvement. It has to be in my room since I don't wanna run cables around the house
  13. Well yeah for sure! My pc is connected via Ethernet. However I have other devices that need to connect via wifi (laptop, phones, printer) which is why I need to somehow improve my wifi strength
  14. Hey guys, So I recently changed my ISP and got cable internet. They provide their ARRIS TG862S which is a modem/router combo. However the wifi signal strength is very bad. I did a Wifi Analyzer test and there are no other wifi networks interfering as my house is not in a crowded area. I also checked the router's settings and the wifi power level is set to high which is the max. I also tried re-positioning the modem/router without any luck. It only reaches like 10 meters away and then gets really bad, so I can't even print on my wireless printer anymore which is like 12 meters away. Whats a solution to this? Should I get a router? An access point? An extender? Kind of a noob with all of these. Feel free to offer your advice on a product. Thanks!
