  1. Thank you so much for the wonderful videos, Linus! You are the first youtube channel I subscribed on latest tech tips and now there's more other great ones like Jayz2cents... who are just as great but I believe if you weren't here in the first place, they wouldn't have picked up as quickly. Your videos have really motivated other youtubers to make their own channels and start posting their unboxing on the latest gadgets. I partiularly liked your new channel on explaining stuff like what is PPI, what's the difference between static pressure fans? What difference does it make to have a better CPU than a better GPU for different types of gamer/ user. I like how they're 'short' and informative and not like an hour long talking about really long details that I didn't really need to know about. Also, you've expanded your scope to cover more than just computer stuff but also sound stuff too. I'm interested to know more about IEMs (especially the high end ones like AK120, AK240 music players, JH roxanne and other cool high end music gadgets too as I've also been longing to see more reviews on those. Oh and I've built my first watercooling build which is cool thanks to your awesome forum community and video tips. Now, it's based on normal tubing but I'm interested to move onto hard acrylic tubing with heatgun bends in the future. Would be very cool if you could build some new videos on acrylic tubing (like singularitycomputers and jayz2cents) but I'm sure you have way too many products to cover these days but just some ideas, at least people like me will be very interested to watch. Some facts about me, I'm from HK but stayed in Vancouver for about 13 years, did my elementary school and high school, then uni at vancouver and I frequented NCIX quite a lot in my last few years at Uni. It's a pity that I didn't know about your channel (if it existed back then) not until I came back to Hong Kong a few years ago. All the best, Linus!
  2. Hi guys, I just recently bought a new 4K monitor from AOC - AOC U2868PQU. It was working fine with 4k at 60hz on displayport 1.2 for a few days till all of a sudden I came home today and it started showing 'no signal'. I tried a different displayport cable and it showed the same. It doesn't show any display before booting into windows with nothing but a black screen. Right now, I can't help but to use dvi with 1440p at 60hz as a temporary solution until I figure out how to get displayport work again. If any of you out there who has an idea how to fix this, please let me know!! HDMI, DVI all work with the monitor except displayport. I tried everything like disconnecting cable from either end, replugging in, installing monitor driver but to no avail. My specs: Nvidia gtx 780ti aoc u2868pqu 4K UHD monitor maximus v gene
  3. Thanks! Those are some great suggestions, let me check them out. The 12 volt led strips seem nice. I may try out the CCFL UV lights, i hope they don't die out too easily.
  4. Hi guys, I finally managed to put together my first watercooling build with a 420 rad, ek waterblocks for gpu and cpu thanks to all your support. I'm using a blue EK UV coolant and am looking for something not too bright but can make my tubes glow in the dark. For those of you who are into this sort of thing, do any of you have any good suggestions for a good UV backlight that is fairly subtle in brightness but makes the UV coolant glow well in the dark? The second question I have relates to water coolant brand that gives the good cooling and bluish color. I find the blue EK UV coolant I bought fairly light bluish (kind of greenish in a sense - see screenshot for details) in color. I bought a spare bottle of feserOne blue online just now but not sure if it's a good choice but it seems bluer and the reviews seem not bad. However, if there are any better suggestions, please do let me know. Warm Regards,
  5. Thanks for this Shaqo. If I knew before, I probably wouldn't have bought the other reservoir. It's on my way to my home tomorrow. I doubt I can return it now. Can I use the other multi holed res that I bought with this upgrade kit just so I can place it on top of my pump? In other words, not using the reservoir that comes with this kit but use the other one that has more than 1 hole at the top?
  6. Hi Shaqo, thanks for the reply!! so I must buy this on top of everything else that I bought so far from above? This would work with the D5 mod kit and d5 top I purchased right?
  7. Hi guys, Thanks to your tips I finally managed to get all my parts. I've gotten my MCP 655 variable speed pump, Bitspower mod top, mod kit and also the multi 150 reservoir from bitspower. Now, I'm not sure in what orientation I can connect to the reservoir directly to the pump. Reservoir http://www.frozencpu.com/products/9575/ex-res-156/Bitspower_Water_Tank_Z-Multi_150_Inline_Reservoir_BP-WTZM150P-BK.html Can someone help me out?
  8. Thanks again airdeno. I thought about it some more. How about this? I'll have the 240 x 30 rad just like before for my CPU as follows: http://www.frozencpu.com/products/4085/ex-rad-86/Black_Ice_GT_Stealth_240_X-Flow_Radiator_-_Black.html?tl=g30c95s160 and another rad 120 x 25 for my GPU as follows: http://www.frozencpu.com/products/4082/ex-rad-82/Black_Ice_GT_Stealth_120_X-Flow_Radiator_-_Black.html?tl=g30c95s159 Oh and if i wish another GPU in the future, guess I'm out of luck in this case unless I can find a space for another separate 120mm rad somewhere that i can sit somewhere in the case. Would this work well? I know this may seem like I'm pushing it but really want to know how feasible this would be before I give up and go shop for a new water cooling case.
  9. Thanks for the welcome, airdeano. Unfortunately, that's the air system that I already have and I don't see myself changing my case anytime soon considering I paid quite hefty for the case. I forgot to mention that I'm already using the good old H100 and am looking towards moving to a true water build. The H100 is cooled by 2 120 SP120 so I'm thinking of re-using the SP120 for my new rad. 280x 60 may not be possible for me as the screws on the top are for 2 120 fan mounts and right now, my two fans cooling the h100 radiator are sitting outside of my case with the radiator of the h100 sitting on the roof my case. What other choices do I have? Is watercooling really out of the picture for me until I get a new case? Oh and is it really necessary to get a thick radiator (60?) for a CPU/GPU loop. Any further suggestions are welcome. Thanks again.
  10. Hi guys, I've been wanting to build my own watercooling system for quite a while now and have been lurking around the forums reading up guides here and there. After spending sometime reading, I decided to start building my own list of parts. Can I seek some of your help to see if the parts I've chosen and the quantity would suffice? Thanks!
  11. Hi guys, I'm new to the forum so please bear with me if this question has already been asked before. I'm interested in getting three of the new PG278Q for my first tri monitor setup. Can I achieve this with '1' GTX 780ti card? I believe there's only 1 display 1.2 port on my card and I heard displayport 1.2 is supposed to be able to support up to 3 monitors simultaneously, what sort of adapter do I need to get to achieve this? Also, will 1 GTX 780ti be able to take on 3 of these 1440p monitors? Thanks a bunch!
