this seems to be affecting all middle and high school to some extent, For example the local Middle school runs on Surfaces 3 and kids having been playing fortnite on there for months, and more recently with the release of mobile some students are refusing to do work, and even today some kids wouldn't take a quiz till they finished there match. I think this will lead to school beginning to ban personal tech and closing the noose on there school provided devices.

Usb-c that only works as usb 2.0
Usb-c that only works as usb 3.0/1/2
Usb-c that includes usb 3 and dp

I'm going to have to say Anthony over at Tweak Town is on the money with this article, of course I believe that $1500 might be a bit of an exaggeration and a stretch, but nevertheless with the mining boom, I do not see how he could be too off base with this article as his estimations are based on fact and previous leaks or articles claiming that the mining boom isn't going anywhere anytime soon and GPU prices will only be on the rise through Q3 2018:

I can only see this IF they took into consideration mining. Otherwise, the price is way over the top. As I doubt that the new architecture is worth that much.

Fgtfv567 reacted to AshleyAshes in TD Bank Prevents Customers From Buying Bitcoin and Other Cryptocurrencies
I don't think you adequately comprehend this article.  Notice how they're only blocking the usage with credit cards?  That's because bitcoin is a very risky investment and if it blows up in the investor's face, it's frequently the credit company that winds up holding the bag if the account holder runs off and doesn't pay, declares bankruptcy, or tries to argue that the purchase was fraudulent and they 'totally never bought that bitcoin, someone musta stole my card.  Woopsie doodle'.

You only think that this is a bank trying to interfer with bitcoin because you have very poor financial literacy.  This is why the article says the chequeing account is fine, because what you buy with your chequing account isn't DEBT, it's your cash that you set on fire if you screw up.  You think you are clever suggesting a 'prepaid credit card' to 'get around it' but NO SHIT, because a prepaid credit card is PRE-PAID, it's not DEBT, if you lose everything buying bitcoin on a prepaid card, then you already paid the bank what it's owed.

Before you go on, you should keep in mind that in the United States, most banks won't let you make ANY investments with money from a credit card, you have to use your OWN MONEY instead of the BANKS.

Aaaaaand not surprising. Not at all. Racism is horrible, but the double standards always baffle me. So many celebrities and people with influence are so openly hateful of white people, and men. But the second someone says one bad thing about any other race or women, they get completely destroyed. I agree that hateful people should be shot down, but I want to see, you know, equality, which so many hypocritical people love to preach.

I find it kind of scary that such a huge company which plays a role in pretty much everyone's lives with a scary amount of influence is doing this kind of shit. Google pretty much rules the world at this point, let's be honest.

Also, I'm pretty sure this thread will end up locked. Just sayin'.

Google employee: "MLK was pretty clear that you need BOTH the threat of violent and nonviolent resistance for the latter to be an effective threat. MLK refused to condemn more violent elements of the civil rights era despite repeated calls because without that threat, they'll just keep killing you." What MLK actually said: "Violence as a way of achieving racial justice is both impractical and immoral. I am not unmindful of the fact that violence often brings about momentary results. Nations have frequently won their independence in battle. But in spite of temporary victories, violence never brings permanent peace. It solves no social problem: it merely creates new and more complicated ones. Violence is impractical because it is a descending spiral ending in destruction for all."
