  1. Not quite. When I get a chance, I'm going to open up my computer and make sure this shit isn't happening because of dust or anything like that.
  2. I said in my original post that it starts when I start a game. It's fucking here alright. 6 in the last hour, 7 in the last 24 hours, 11 in the past 7 days. Does event viewer tell me WHY it's shutting off beyond "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly."?
  3. What do I do in here? What specifically should I look at?
  4. The thing is, the problem temporarily goes away overnight. Today when I got home from school, it worked just fine as I was internet browsing on it for a couple of hours. It was only until I started playing rainbow 6 for an hour or so that the problems show up.
  5. It is a sudden shut off, like yanking the cable, and then rushing to hit the power button. A faulty PSU is my second thought after it just needs to be dusted. However, if the PSU is going bad, that's a problem because it is a proprietary Dell PSU and the computer I have was discontinued a while ago, so I don't know if Dell will send me a new one, should they still have any or if my warranty is WAYY too long gone.
  6. I didn't have this problem before though. It started last night and I've never done anything to my motherboard nor my bios.
  7. My CPU's a locked 3770, so if you can OC this thing, I'd be impressed. Yeah the temps go with the "I haven't dusted my PC" thing, so I'm going to try rainbow 6 again and monitor temps this time
  8. Starting yesterday, my computer has been shutting off, and then restarting itself. The issue initially starts when I play a game. After an hour or so, my computer will shut off and immediately restart. Then it'll continue to loop, even as I try to stumble into the desktop. It'll loop a few times, about 3 today, and then crash if I try to restart a game. My monitor lights don't shut off as far as I'm aware, so I don't think it's a problem with my surge protector nor my house. I am currently doing a quick scan with MSE as I type this and nothing's popped up. I haven't dusted out my PC in a while, so I have a suspicion it could be that. Specs can be seen on my profile. Edit: Resumed Rainbow 6, had MSI Afterburner up, and looked at CPU usage and temps. It shut off, restarted about 5-6 times until desktop. I predict if I go back to a game, it'll do this again. Temps: Mid 60s ish, normal for my small PC and weak cooling. Usage: It crashed at about 50 ish percent while playing rainbow 6 Edit 2: It is now shutting off at the desktop after I punch in my passcode. Edit 3: I have dusted out my PC a couple of days ago. My computer still crashes during gaming. During my time inside my PC, I did not notice anything out of the ordinary.
  9. I think your profile picture's been influencing you a little too much
  10. Does anyone agree or disagree with me here when I say that Apple is going down the shithole with all of these terrible design choices after Jobs' death?
  11. Next thing you know, Samsung's going to take her off the flight and remove all the videos.
  12. Do you guys remember the handheld PC with swappable D-pads that could run either Linux or Windows? Remember how they ran into difficulty and eventually cancelled their kickstarter? Well now they're back. No news outlet has reported on this, I saw an ad on facebook, and the kickstarter's back online. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/smachteam/smach-z-the-handheld-gaming-pc?ref=d8xd3s&utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=banner&utm_campaign=Facebook_campaign1_SmachZ They've exceeded their $276,701 goal and have raised $353,029. Donating at least 306 USD (translated from euros) will get you a Smach Z and charger and estimated delivery is April 2017.
  13. If this was a phone, sure put 1080 or 1440 on a 5.5 to 6 inch display. But it's not. This is a portable gaming system. It runs on battery and is expected to be pushing heavy workloads (games) almost 24/7 when the thing is being used. Putting a 1080p screen in it will drastically kill the battery for 2 reasons. The higher the resolution, the more power the display needs. As well that the CPU and GPU will have to work harder to render at a higher resolution, which will also kill battery. Not only that, putting in a higher resolution display will shoot up the price of the Switch, and in times when people carry around phones and use consoles, that's not a great idea. Putting a 720p screen in here was a great idea, Nintendo
  14. Can we see a new shield device based on this new soc for 2016?
  15. Sign up for the beta program, and you'll get the full release immediately
  16. As long as people still buy the Shield TV, and users use one of the shield products, it's likely not going anywhere. If the Shield brand were to fail, which I highly doubt, they could open it up to be a competitor to liquid sky.
  17. Build looks good, only thing is that you're paying too much for the power supply. You don't need 850W, 600 should do it

  19. I think one of the reasons that iPhone sales are dropping is that no one finds them interesting anymore. I don't know if you've heard about the iPhone 7, but supposedly it's not going to be much different than the 6S. Notable features include (based on rumours): Water resistance, 3D touch home button, no 3.5mm jack, larger camera hump, moved antenna bands. No redesign, not a lot of interesting reasons to upgrade, when the iPhone 7 (or 6SE) is announced, I expect Apple's share to tank and only the most diehard Apple fanboys getting in line for this one
  20. *VOMITS* Oh god... Oh that looks horrendous... Ugh.. Maybe specs will be somewhat bet- *VOMITS AGAIN* Please, no more... Maybe.. Just maybe it'll be cheap, maybe I could get it for grand- *VOMITS AGAIN AGAIN* Nope... Fuck this laptop.... If VAIO keeps pulling this kind of crap, I can assure you they will go bankrupt But seriously, who's going to clean up all this puke now?
  21. Ah, one of the many things I love about Android. Skin your phone to make it look like whatever the hell you want, albeit an iPhone or Live Tiles like Windows Phone... *See below* *See below* I fucking hate this shit. Apparently there are only 2 phone manufacturers in the whole world. Apple with the iPhone, and Samsung with the S and Note series. What about all the other Android manufacturers? HTC, LG, Blackberry, OnePlus, nope, ever heard of them, they must never exist. To be honest though, it's half the consumer's fault and the other half is those companies for not spending enough on marketing and getting their names out there. And any problems with Touchwiz, they'll automatically blame Google. Why is my S4 slow? Why are there so many problems? Must be Google's fault for making Android this way, instead of blaming Samsung for not optimizing their (older) phones. What is this PLX chip, this is new to me..... To be honest, the 8X limit doesn't even matter anymore since Nvidia forces 2-way SLI max with the 10-series cards...
  22. I now own an outdated relic. Maybe I'll keep it for shits and giggles if this thing dies on me completely and I have to build a new PC.
  23. @Mike_The_B0ss You work for AVG, what do you think
