Well, iirc a LOT joined for vessel back when they had the free year offer, and before that a LOT for whatever giveaway I can't remember it was (somewhere in 2015 I think ?)

If didn't, the company flipped it.

Part of the reason is they stopped advertising the forum. Before 2017 they would say "Join our community forum" (which is how I got involved in 2015 but didnt become active til 2017) and by then Linus had stopped putting that at the end of videos. When GN came for the studio tour, Linus said this forum was simply a backup in case Youtube failed, but they're now so big that they have direct Youtube contacts within the company, so this isnt a major priority to keep growing.

Tbh I wish there would be more on the forum than just that. Before we had community events (build of the week for example) and a front page with news articles, builds and other stuff.

linus never said Vessel wasn't gonna flop, if you have watched Wan show he said exactly this "from day 1 we talked about he would be surprised if vessel didn't flop considering their business model"  where did you hear him say vessel wouldn't flop?
