It’s so people can buy it and use it out of the box with the ryzen 3000 series. Some people don’t know how to update bios or don’t want to.

VRMs are part of the power delivery for the CPU. some of the early B450 motherboards cheeped out on it because the manufacturers didn't realize the ryzen 2xxx series was going to be popular.

I'm thinking that right now the 2600x is cheaper and will permit the user to upgrade the bios and upgrade the cpu later when the price drops. I was enticed by the 3600 when I made the build but I told myself that 6 core 3.6Ghz will be more than enough. I'm taking everything you guys said into account and I'll post the updated version shortly.

I mean its a problem 1 time and then it works and you get more performance.

And I thought that's precisely why OP chose a 2600x,  which is imo very reasonable,  you don't always need the latest,  and I think those new Ryzens might be a bit overhyped and the 2nd gen ones are still a very good option - and depending on workload maybe even better.

I could be wrong and the OP just chose this more or less randomly - in any case as a R5 3600 owner I wouldn't do it anymore,  updating the BIOS of my MSI board was a huge pita, I would go with a 2700x instead now,  benchmarks (which are never objective anyway)  be damned.

i forgot to mention you may need to update the bios on the b450 motherboard before it will work with the 3600.

I would go with this instead:
PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor $253.25 @ Vuugo CPU Cooler Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition 42 CFM CPU Cooler $43.75 @ Vuugo Motherboard MSI B450 GAMING PRO CARBON AC ATX AM4 Motherboard $179.99 @ Canada Computers Memory Patriot Viper 4 Blackout 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory $84.99 @ Amazon Canada Storage Intel 660p Series 512 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive $83.96 @ Mike's Computer Shop Storage Western Digital Caviar Blue 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive $55.50 @ Vuugo Video Card Zotac GeForce GTX 1660 Super 6 GB Twin Fan Video Card $309.00 @ Canada Computers Case NZXT H510 ATX Mid Tower Case $87.24 @ Vuugo Power Supply EVGA SuperNOVA GM 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular SFX Power Supply $115.75 @ Vuugo   Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts     Total $1213.43   Generated by PCPartPicker 2019-11-05 14:04 EST-0500   Its a little more price optimized in my opinion. If you want to make it cheaper I would cut back on the case, or a cheaper MSI b450 motherboard without built in wifi.

    Wait for Black Friday.
    Problems with the current build:
That cooler is garbage, get something like a U14S. Get 3200mhz+ RAM. Why do you have such an odd storage set up? I'd get a bit better of a case, that one sucks.

This is my first review in english, therefore if you find any grammar mistakes, typos or mistakes in the phrases let me know in a comment below or in a PM.

This review is about the Asus R9 390 with the new DirectCU III cooling. The video card comes with the latest implementation of the Asus DirectCU cooling, also it comes with the well known 8 GB VRAM and a graphic proccessor on the 28nm with the Hawaii GPU architecture.

What does the R9 390 represents in the high-end video cards? R9 390 replaces the old R9 290. I can say that it roughly replaces it because both the R9 290 and the R9 390 uses the same GPU processor and also the same architecture, they have the same BUS memory, the same number of shaders and also the same power consumption. What is it changed you may ask? Well, the quantity of VRAM doubled, from 4 GB VRAM to 8 GB VRAM. This quantity of VRAM is huge in the days where the most common FHD or even 4K video games are not using more than 4 GB of VRAM or even 6 GB VRAM for 4K resolution.

The TDP remains the same and overall, it’s almost the same video card as its predecessor. What is surprises me is that this video card can run AAA games on FHD or even 4K with almost the same GPU processor as the HD 7970, a video card that was launched in 2012. Moving on to the actual review, I’m going to split the review in a few categories:
    ·         Package and Accessories
    ·         Visual inspection
    ·         Methodology of testing and platform
    ·         Synthetic benchmarks: 3DMark
    ·         Game benchmarks: GTA V, Crysis 2, Crysis 3, Hitman Absolution, Mafia 2
    ·         Overclocking and temperatures

    Conclusion

For me, it was a pleasure to test the R9 390, not because it was something innovative, but because I can finally see a good implementation of the DirectCU cooling. The noise made by the video card was really low and most of the time of the testing they were closed.
The performance of the GPU stands right above the R9 290 and tremendously close to a video card that have twice the price of the R9 390. I can’t say more about this because there is nothing newer. There are more changes to the cooling system than to the actual video card. In my opinion, there is no reason to have 8 GB VRAM for any average gamer, I can’t blame AMD for adding so much, but I can’t say that it will make a change when it doesn’t.

C'mon guys... If this IS a serious question, this person probably has no idea what any of you mean. First, look on the back of your computer and find out which one of these it has:

Then, look on your monitor for the same thing. If you have the appropriate cable, connect them. Then you should be good to go! Also, I think the order of preference from least to most is VGA, DVI, then HDMI. Good luck!

this vulnerability it's so simple that I'm astonished anyone could think of finding it in the 1st place
the affected Grub2 loader versions range from 1.98 (December, 2009) to 2.02 (December, 2015)
the technical details can be found here: http://hmarco.org/bugs/CVE-2015-8370-Grub2-authentication-bypass.html
the open source software can be both a bless and a piece of hell
why, you may ask - because multiple developers work on different pieces that when put together may not work flawlessly - look at how long this vulnerability existed

This PSU still needs water cooling and the internal pump makes a lot on noise. But Seasonic makes some nice passive PSUs up to 550 watts.

Personally, I'd say get rid of the CPU Cooler (No overclocking), change the GPU for another brand, and personally, I've have Seagate Barracudas break on me, so I'm not 100% about Seagate but I'll accept that they are a good brand. But my heart is with Western Digital for HDDs and Samsung/Intel for SSDs
