The product is OK, it mostly does what they say it does.  I've used a couple products in this category, and Pulseway is comparable to what is offered by others.
 
Problems:
- Billing, difficult to pay them other than by credit card (Canada)
- Billing, double billing and harassment for "unpaid" second invoice.
- Scheduling way too many meetings with no strict objective other than to squeeze you for information and to sell additional products.  I'm not sure if all their account managers are the same but Wafaa was particularly egregious.  I told her that I was not comfortable disclosing information about our IT infrastructure and told her I needed to end the meeting.   I later reached out to Wafaa regarding being harassed (emails, voicemails) by their accounts people asking me to pay again for the services that were already paid for in full.  The emailed response was that it was not acceptable for me to "hang up" on her.  I stated in this meeting that I was uncomfortable continuing and that I was ending the meeting.

I'm really questioning why they keep pushing for so much information about our business and infrastructure.  I'm not sure if I trust Pulseway to not be harvesting our data in some manner because they seem to be trying to categorize our business based on the line of questioning.  At best, they are just pushy sales focused staff and if you try and avoid these types of time wasting sales calls, beware of Pulseway.

Fucking hell finally dbrand gave the twitter account to someone who's not an edgelord.
This is actually a pretty okay apology. Probably not quite enough, far too late and only after Marques Brownlee directly came out against them but at least they eventually did something that looks vaguely like the right thing. If only Linus had the emotional maturity to respond in a similar fashion. Maybe then dbrand would have actually made a proper apology sooner.

Also I'm not saying anyone should forgive dbrand either or saying it's an adequate apology but at least this time they made an actual attempt at an apology. Also pretty funny how dbrand literally proved Marques' prediction exactly right in the reply 😂
 
Now that dbrand have actually addressed and apologised (or at least attempted to in good faith) for their actions the biggest clown left seems to be LMG. Somehow Linus managed to take a situation where someone else had a controversy and ended up looking like the biggest asshole. He really does have a terminal skill issue when it comes to social media.

The whole dbrand thing is bad, and honestly they should lose sponsorships over this.  The initial joke, while I don't think was racist, should have received an apology and immediate explanation about just making fun of anyones name that sounds like other things in English and had no intent to speak of someone's race.
 
The fact they didn't do this and double downed, while again not racist, shows an ignorance of what people who face racism and shows a reluctance to accept that how one reads the post could potentially be construed as racist.
  
The first joke, I wouldn't call it racist but rather them just being ignorant of the connotation.  [As a whole I'd say it's more of a massive culturally insensitive and massively disrespectful vs racist...although I view the level of culturally insensitive as being unacceptable as it can promote racism]
 
Poking fun at names isn't inherently racist, English speakers get their names poked fun at a lot as well, but if there is backlash one must learn of negative connotations and issue a formal apology with an explanation that about the intent and not realizing the connotation.  The part that makes this really bad though is their whole response, continuing on as a joke...and this is where I think the line is drawn and it's wildly culturally insensitive to the point.
 
 
Overall though, using someone's name as a characteristic of a person is I think problematic at it's heart.  While things like Willy as a name is made fun of, I think it hits different than lets say being named Karen and having someone address you as a "Karen"; as you are now characterizing who they are as a person based on their name.  For that I think dbrand, regardless of ethnicity, went overboard.
 
Boiling racism down to solely the color of someone's skin isn't I think right; rather it's about the ethnicity of things.  While not racism, Women weren't treated as equals until the 1920's [there are people still alive who existed in a time women couldn't vote].
 
Scottish and Irish people have been a target of other "white" people, being a natural red-head is still associated with being "soul-less".  The whole class system in the European world as well [which eventually got to the point of revolutions/toppling of monarchies].
 
I'm not trying to trivialize what people of color have endured, and continue to endure though, but the argument that "white people" are somehow more free-game for their name ignores that the majority of the population back even 200 - 300 years ago was somehow oppressed.
 
 
 
Overall, I am mad at dbrand, and do think they deserve to have their sponsorships to be paused for a while [as an indication of non-acceptance of the position]

I, uhh, honestly a bare-minimum boilerplate bs corpo response that actually had any mention as to why it was wrong and wasn’t dismissive would’ve shockingly been better than this.
 
This isn’t good enough. Throwing money at the guy and promising to do it again is disrespectful. Their shtick crossed a line and I can’t trust them to do right and stamp down racism—accidental or not—that they foster given the response here.
 
Earlier before their response, I was joking to myself that they’d stay quiet and lean on WAN Show to do actual crisis PR for them but that seems like a terrifying possibility at this point…
 
At the very least, if device skins were still appealing to me I’d start looking elsewhere. The shtick isn’t worth it.

They didn't even mention the fact that they used a very specific racist stereotype used against Indians lol. They apologised for "we made fun of a guys name" which just makes it seem like people are mad that they made fun of a random persons name. That's not the point at all and it shows dbrand really can't hit the mark at all. All that's happened is dbrand saw how much backlash it was getting and decided to pay their way out of the situation and to make an absolutely awful apology that's effectively trying to gaslight people and control the narrative.

Absolutely atrocious apology from dbrand here that doesn't address anything that actually matters and is trying to steer people away from the fact that the tweet was seemingly incredibly racist. Fuck this company they're really not showing any good faith here at all.

Didn't even address any changes etc to prevent future stuff like this. Feels like they are taking a "pay for good PR" approach while not addressing what actually happened or what they will do beside send money to the X user.
 
Say if they're going to be policy changes and/or staff changes to prevent future.. incidents.. and without knowing if they're going to be changes I'm not sure if dbrand doing stuff like that in the future is something LMG should endorse as that was just kinda racist (in my opinion!)

If dbrand wants to be edgy then whatever but making fun of an Indian last name in this way just seems so utterly stupid. While it's probably not racially motivated by any means it does come across and look as incredibly racist. And the fact that they know it looks racist and choose to still double triple down does make it actually kinda racist. At the very least they don't care if people see them as racist.

Honestly if dbrand don't care that their brand is seen as racist that should be a giant red flag. Is this the response to allegations of racism that LMG expects of its brand partners? I know if LMG don't take action in response to this I'll be letting LMG sponsors know what LMG stands for when it comes to these topics. I imagine brands won't be happy being advertised alongside a company that has no problem associating their brand with racism.
