  1. Looks like it's started happening again First time was yesterday while I was Skype screen sharing SpaceEngine, which occurred twice right after another, and then again today while Skype screen sharing Payday 2, so I thought that Skype was causing the issue, but it happened twice more in Payday 2 right after that while I wasn't screen sharing, so I'm really confused with this. Kernel-Power 41 is appearing again in Event Viewer. The only spare PSU I have is a cheap Thermaltake 430W one, but that's never had any issues, so I might just test with that.
  2. Just played Skyrim on ultra with a butt ton of visual mods for 2 hours or so, which is obviously much more intensive than something like Payday 2 or CSGO, and no problems from what I can see.
  3. It was the 350D, which has all of the standoffs for mATX pre-installed, and I checked this morning, nothing where it shouldn't be
  4. I have gotten a new monitor, that I had running on a splitter with my PC to conserve power sockets, but it uses more power than my old one so I guess I can't really get away with that any more, and just to be safe, I moved my PC's power cable from my surge protector straight to the wall. I'll see if that fixes any issues.
  5. Yep, I just did a quick check, and kernel power 41 is there multiple times. Don't have time for the memtest right now but I'll see if I can do it later tonight
  6. Hello all, Back in December I moved my PC to a new case, and noticed loose heatsinks on the motherboard, but I thought nothing of it because I knew I was going to be upgrading soon after anyway. It had an AMD Phenom II X4 945 and some old Gigabyte motherboard then, and sometimes it would shut off randomly and reboot without any BSOD, etc while playing CSGO or Payday 2 about a month or so after the case change. It was occasional at first, but become more and more common as time passed. I tried lowering the graphics settings in Payday 2 and that worked for a bit, but even with that it eventually became so bad that I couldn't even have the game open for a few minutes before my PC shut itself off again, even doing so on the main menu. I put it down to the old motherboard, so I upgraded sooner than I had planned to an ASRock H97M Pro4 and an Intel i5 4590, and everything was working great for a couple of weeks. Now recently it's begun to happen again, only more frequently than it did when it first started back with the old motherboard. My temps are low, and most of my parts are reasonably new, so I have no idea what could be causing the issue. Specs: Intel Core i5 4590 @ 3.3GHz (a few weeks old) Kingston HyperX Fury 2x4GB (8GB) @ 1866MHz (3 months old, same time as case upgrade) ASUS GTX 660 (a year old) ASRock H97M Pro4 (a few weeks old) Samsung 840 series 120GB SSD (18 months old) Seagate Barracuda SV35 1TB (18 months old) Corsair VS450 (8 months old) Cooler Master Hyper 212X (3 months old)
  7. The best thing would be the clickable touch pad. I've been wanting a better touch pad design in a laptop for years now!
  8. Ram isn't the only thing that dictates a GPU's performance
  9. The slowness problem I was having with the A4-4000 was the onboard graphics. I've seen some of the stuff the A6-6400K can do, especially in games, which is good because it's also used for gaming when I have a mate over
  10. The A4-4000 was really slow, and the A6-6400K had good benchmarks for its price Whaddya mean? No quotes here! And yea, I just installed the .net framework. Installing drivers now, but it's been stuck at the start of doing the video drivers for 5 minutes. Not looking good Also keep in mind that this was the first computer I ever built, nearly 12 months ago. I didn't have much knowledge of parts so I made some really stupid decisions, like using a generic power supply (which has since been replaced)
  11. Aaaaaand installer crashed. Gonna try again
  12. Ha it's actually come up with a message asking if I want to install the video drivers. I'll take that as a good sign
  13. If I can't fix it by Sunday I'll call AMD, they must have a solution
