  1. Firstly that's a call centre not an email inbox. Even Google can't piroritise my star messages sometimes. And I definitely receive less emails than LTT members... So...I'll just agree to disagree. And thank God I no longer deal with customers
  2. Well if that tickles your fancy more power to you. I hope that it at least shows even under a better situation. You yourself weren't able to make your statement with no errors. Anyway have a good day.
  3. Sorry. Are you expecting near instant response times? Most standard BUSINESS reply times can be 3-5 business days at times for various big businesses. EVEN if you were in corporate orders a turnaround time of a day or two is considered reasonably quick...I mean didn't we want LESS work load for the staff? Edit: Sorry if this came off as aggressive unnecessarily, I worked in customer service before so it triggered me a little to see honestly unreasonable time lines given esp in regards to email response times
  4. No I know that but seeing how people take his word as gospel and heck more seriously then I seen some Christians take the bible, yea idk
  5. Also to be impartial, for Linus supporters I really don't think it was right for them to have the prototype auctioned it off. Yes it was a mistake but shows very very bad process and/or workload. And as someone pointed out in the corporate world this really REALLY wouldn't fly I sincerely hope this never happens again.
  6. To be honest you absolutely should This matter not only pointed a light towards LTT and certain business decisions and a huge fuck up (billet) but also it shows how big GN actually is clout wise. I've jokingly said it in the past but now it's almost a cult. Tech jesus? GNs reporting on this wasn't even level headed nor complete. Still people just listened frankly very blindly and their rational critical thinking seem to also go out the door too. I've had my misgivings with Steve, nothing really major and I chalked it up to me being old and not understanding that the at times near constant "jokes" (in news videos no less) about random stuff (Nvidia computex conference even roped in a gag about a totally innocent security guard doing his damn job) was a product of a generation gap. But after this my good will and faith has definitely dropped a little for them. I'm glad to see LMG commit to improvements (really please follow through I work under a place that functions pretty much like a "startup" so the issues and problems seem very familiar to me all iet in a smaller scale) But at the very least I wish GN, self proclaimed (or reddit proclaimed honestly cbf) police pf the tech industry would be more impartial and thorough when bringing about allegations. They have waited on big news stories. That stupid prebuilt computer company, the Newegg drama... Why was this not a slam dunk like those two. (Not to mention the "followup") someone aped this somewhere for LTT but it's appropriate in this case for GN too "A delayed video is eventually good, but a rushed video is forever"
  7. I think the video was alot of what we expected from LTT. And we can also see the people who clearly have no love nor hope for you guys to actually improve. Of ccourse we have to see your stated plans in action. so we'll still be watching. I do think however you guys should relook into madison's allegations. Please do, espeially sine you guys are cleaning house so to speak.
  8. Tbh nth he says or do will be enough. There will always be improvement point to pick on. You can never be perfect.
  9. Can’t be helped for whatever reason the world has picked polarisation as its current trend in thing to do.
  10. At this point it seem it’s just a difference in opinion and we’re likely going to go around in circles should this continue so we can leave it as agree to disagree
  11. Sorry I would still have to disagree. these are custom boutique items which definitely wouldn’t have sold in bulk in that iteration. And I’m sure that company knows it. They probably wanted brand recognition rather than actually conversion which I’ll argue with this whole fiasco is likely a win for them.
  12. I didn’t have that problem with billet cause 1) it was already going to be very expensive hence not worth it for most people regardless and that’s ignoring the complexity of getting it set up, it ain’t no normal custom loop experience. 2) the entire video was so haphazard In nature I wasn’t gonna take it seriously and more of first time look at of a niche and cool product. granted I do think 2) is because I’ve been watching Ltt of years so I know what to tune out and what to give more attention to etc
  13. I think he handled it okay or even well. With exception of the video quality concerns. The tone and general message of his repo sense is what I expect of him and for the most part.so alls good for me. I do think they might need to do abit more on the part of billet and maybe talk more openly about the video quality concerns but Yeap mostly answered for me
  14. I disagree. In this case I really don’t think it warrants this level of pitch forkery.
  15. He meant breakdown of comms within LMG I.e. this card being earmarked for auction when it wasn’t meant to be due to miscommunication Idk about you but there’s definitely a fair amount of pitch forks without even waiting for any real explanation. I mentioned it o. Reddit but we really shouldn’t be blindly following any single person nor entity.
  16. Posted this on Reddit, but gonna leave this here too cause I know the team reads this more, while for the most part I do think some things are being made out to be wildly out of proportion (data being erroneous and how it’s handled plus employees complaint of videos needing more time [ the interviews make it seem more like it would be nice rather than a desperate cry for help] )One thing that is definitely a HUGE fuck up is the issue with Billet. I Sincerely hope that it was indeed just a mistake (if everything that GN is reporting is true) and that you guys will do your utmost to make it up to them
  17. ah thats a shame I guess jsut keep that in mind should you encounter this again!
  18. Yeap i understand that. I'm saying that it should still be in your account listed in the steps above. Just a note we never have customer's windows/microsoft accounts, so best guess is when you link your account its does something like this already. Its just a wierd behaviour (which at the point of time i felt was a big issue but i guess no one thought much of it 2 or more years ago). As much as i want to throw ASUS under the bus, it is not their fault at all and this behaviour is Soley on Microsoft part.
  19. So as a fellow Singaporean You should know a few things and maybe some friendly advice. So First thing first AMD cards are not really sought after by both the consumers and shops here, further more you're probably looking at the 6000 Series AMD cards. As a rule of thumb in our small country we rarely if ever have previous gen card brand new once the new gen releases and even if they are available dont expect them to be rock bottom prices. This typically applies to Nvidia as well but this gen is wonky so you probably can still find SOME 30 series 3070 or 3080 but 3090/3090ti would be really hard to find new. TLDR; i would never expect to find situations where you find cards going for clearance prices here in SG. If you;re really gonna start blacklisting companies for every mistake they make you can really forget about getting a computer cause you won;t have anyone to buy from given enough time. Especially with Graphics card. we have NEVER gotten a Founders edition card from nvidia here. Except MAYBE during the 10 series, but those only exsisted in limited quantities as first batch stock AND they were made by AIB partners too (not direct from nvidia) [eg. https://www.zotac.com/us/product/graphics_card/zotac-geforce-gtx-1080-founders-edition] AMD Too, most of our SG stock while will use AMD reference designs (7000 Series, they're typically made by the AIB Partners, not direct from AMD etc.) And Once again they too follow nvidia where the "reference" models tend to get superseded and fall out of our already small market for amd gpus. This is not gonna be very popular I think, but frankly if the 4060ti is what you can afford... maybe stick to it? Like I agree when you look at it from an enthuasist pov, its not great comapritively speaking, but it HAS decent performance. and fits your needs. Any other suggestion right now, you will have to compromise (no AV1, Less efficient, more heat being dumped into your system (in our already troopical climate) ) So unless you can find a 3060ti/3070(ti)/3080 ( or 6700XT or higher AMD card) I would say unfortuantely the 4060ti might just be the best card for you at this present time. Or heck maybe you want to wait to see the 4060 before you make a decision. About the Brands, I would say go look up the distributors of said brand and cards instead of the brands themselves here as you'll be dealing with them if (touch wood anything goes wrong). If you think its a wash I would then say find cards at your budget then from whatever is left just pick on whatever looks best or performas best thermally (depends on what you're going for) You CAN also get the cards from amazon etc but warranty there is abit of a question mark sometimes... so. yea.
  20. Hi there! I work with a SI, and Have seen machines being bitlocker locked randomly in the past (seems like its standard procedure with windows i.e. it will do so should it thinks security has been comprised in anyway, even with home licenses which shouldnt have bitlocker) Just wanted to give you a heads up that the bitslocker key should be somewhere in your microsoft account. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/finding-your-bitlocker-recovery-key-in-windows-6b71ad27-0b89-ea08-f143-056f5ab347d6 We had several customers have success with this in past occurances so hoepfully this helps you too!
  21. i dont think any. tbh this really isn't the first time manufacturers are selling above msrp. ( as i questioned earlier) in the end, its just bad press for nvidia which they might not really care. in the end they still sell chips.
  22. Just wondering... whats the difference between this and the whole pricing up during the 10-series drought cause of the mining boom. Dont get me wrong this is scummy. but most of these companies are scummy anyway.
  23. thanks for the reply! Guess I'm just paranoid about temps especially with how it affects clocks for ryzen.
  24. Hi Guys, I'm currently running a 3600 and 1070 with EKWB Fluid gaming line up of parts (GPU + 360 Rad Top Exhaust + CPU + 240 Rad Side intake; loop is in that order) My GPU temps are fine, however my cpu temps seem abit high (idle 41-54), stress test 75 - 80 degrees (depending on work load) Typically (60 -70 ish under gaming loads etc I've repasted several times and changed washers (cause the previous ones might be a bit thicker than the manual specified) and while temps have come down abit, I'm still perplexed if these are the kind of cpu temperatures i should be expecting. I am living in a tropical climate where ambient is about 30-32 degrees typically. Was wondering if this is caused by low flow rate due to the pump (still using the SPC) or if this really is all normal for this loop. Any insights/advice would be much appreciated.
  25. For gaming. Think that's cause they don't actually turbo up that high during gaming additionally, i think the effect is very marginal as it's only a few FPS higher. (I don't think you see much till you hit a 20-30 FPS increase personally)
