  1. All better. Installed https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26136/Intel-Management-Engine-Driver-5M-for-Windows-7-8-1-and-Windows-10-for-Intel-NUC-Kit-NUC5i5MYHE Ran the ME update tool on my mobo's website along with the chipset driver.
  2. I don't know how people come up with their solutions to said problem, badly applied thermal paste wouldn't cause freezing, at best it would change temps by 5c ish. It's most likely a bad memory module or a failing HDD that's causing the lockups.
  3. Laptop model is HP G7-2341dx. I recently upgraded my desktops SSD and acquired a free laptop. For some strange reason the laptop will not recognize the SSD. I looked online and apparently countless people are having this issue. The bios is pretty basic, no IDE, AHCI, RAID ect. I regular HDD works just fine. I have a 40GB drive that came from a PS3, it recognizes it at windows installation but it's just clicks forever when trying to delete the partitions. As for the SSD, it's a Samsung EVO 250GB that was cloned and pulled from my main rig, fully functional. I've been reading countless forums online where people have issues getting SSD's to recognize on HP laptops. Main fault is due to the sata plugin that connects to the mainboard. Seems to be in good condition but it's missing some contact pins on every adapter I see. Haven't been on this forum in so long. Hopefully someone can give me some assistance. About to pull my hair out at this point.
  4. It's enough for any single GPU. 40amps on the 12v rail. 3 year warranty. What more could you ask for?
  5. Does your GPU sag? Curious as to what people used to combat a sagging GPU. Most creative Idea I saw yet was a lego guy on a small tower. Here's mine.
  6. With Haswell chips Intel integrated the voltage regular module onto the CPU die which made temps sky rocket.
  7. Well if that's the case then moving the VRM back onto the motherboard vastly improved temps.
  8. If anyone else has a 6600K I'm curious as to what their temperatures are. I'm running on air and I get ridiculously low temps with a hyper 212. Room temp of 20c. I'm lucky If I see temps higher than 50c while gaming with a mild overclock.
  9. Well that's obviously not right as I get 111% with 4.5Ghz...
  10. Well I don't have a dedicated GPU yet. That may play a role. Also the middle bolt on the 212 is snug along with it's mounting bracket, all four screws are bottomed out. The heatsink doesn't move side to side like on most people's rig because they install it incorrectly.
  11. I think it has to do with the ambient temp, it's so cold I have to wear a hoodie.
  12. Hyper 212 in pull config with a pea sized grain of arctic silver.
  13. House temperature is around 10c. I never see temps above 50c...
